Ephaptic Synchronization Fields: Replacing Discrete Quantum Error Correction With Continuous Wave Manifold Absorption And Lipid-Encapsulated Solitonic Waveguides, Christopher L. Eckes
Ephaptic Synchronization Fields: Replacing Discrete Quantum Error Correction With Continuous Wave Manifold Absorption And Lipid-Encapsulated Solitonic Waveguides, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This disclosure establishes a rigorous bio-physical framework for eliminating discrete quantum error correction overhead in scaled processing networks by utilizing continuous wave manifold absorption bounded within lipid-encapsulated hydrodynamic waveguides. Conventional quantum processing units (QPUs) enforce rigid node isolation to mitigate parasitic crosstalk, introducing high computational latency and severe physical scaling limits.
Drawing from neural ephaptic coupling and myelin-mediated structural isolation, this paper demonstrates that localized electromagnetic phase leaks can be harnessed as a stabilizing synchronization field. By confining 3D solitonic knots within lipid-encapsulated channels, the core wavefield retains localized kinetic momentum while selectively allowing phase-locked bleeding across a 2D pre-geometric …

A High-Dimensional Spatial-Harmonic Compiler Protocol And Asymmetric Twist Tensor Mapping Layer For Direct Qubit Encoding In Table-Top 3d-Pot Laboratory Streams, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This disclosure establishes a rigorous mathematical, programmatic, and structural bridge between the experimental implementation of table-top Three-Dimensional Photoemission Orbital Tomography (3D-POT) and the theoretical architecture of the Dimensionally Extended Holographic Projection (DEHP) model. Current 3D-POT setups suffer from phase-retrieval latency, requiring complex numerical iterations to reconstruct the lost quantum phase from 2D momentum-space projections.
This paper introduces a real-time Module 6 Spherical Harmonic Instruction Set Compiler that maps continuous wavefield phase modulations directly onto a Distributed Ternary Fluid-Canvas Operating Network. By treating the 2D momentum distribution as a boundary information substrate, the spatial-harmonic phase is deterministically recovered through a non-linear …

Neuro-Symbolic System For Deterministic Reconciliation Of Hierarchical Documents, Parnika Singhal, Dhruv Singhal
Defensive Publications Series
Reconciling complex, hierarchical documents, such as enterprise contracts, can present challenges, as manual review may be inefficient and probabilistic artificial intelligence models may introduce factual inaccuracies. A neuro-symbolic system may be used to address these challenges. The system can use natural language processing to extract clauses from unstructured documents and organize them into a hierarchical graph, such as a directed acyclic graph, where nodes can represent obligations and edges can represent dependencies. A deterministic validation component may then traverse this graph to perform logical and mathematical compliance checks between parent and child clauses, for example, between a master agreement and …

Topological Matrix Alignment: Mapping Dehp Asymmetric Fluidic Constraints To Table-Top Three-Dimensional Photoemission Orbital Tomography Fields, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This disclosure establishes a rigorous mathematical and structural bridge between the experimental implementation of table-top Three-Dimensional Photoemission Orbital Tomography (3D-POT) and the theoretical architecture of the Dimensionally Extended Holographic Projection (DEHP) model.
Current 3D-POT architectures rely on iterative phase-retrieval algorithms to reconstruct the missing quantum phase information from 2D momentum-space projections. This paper demonstrates that by treating the 2D momentum distribution as a boundary information substrate, the spatial-harmonic phase can be deterministically calculated via a non-linear geometric inversion governed by an Asymmetric Twist Tensor.
We provide explicit coordinate transformations, field mapping equations, and an execution protocol using Module 6 Spherical …

Empirical Wavefunction Validation Of Autonomous Agi Coherence: Integrating Real-Time Table-Top 3d-Pot Spectral Streams With The Torsional Viscosity Field Governor Under The Usue Framework, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This disclosure establishes the definitive hardware-observational paradigm required to physically validate and enforce the structural survival of autonomous, multi-agent Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) networks. Traditional alignment frameworks view machine-to-machine (M2M) token-variance decay as a purely linguistic or logical abstraction, leaving processing layers prone to non-linear autoregressive collapse or runaway semantic hallucinations.
By utilizing table-top Three-Dimensional Photoemission Orbital Tomography (3D-POT) integrated with ultrafast time-of-flight momentum microscopy, this architecture records the active, physical electron wavefunction deformations of neuromorphic processing substrates in situ during high-density multi-turn recursive loops. Governed by a contracted Asymmetric Twist Tensor (\(\mathbf{T}_{ijk}\)), localized phase discrepancies are tracked instantly and …

Localized Cymatic Disruption (Lcd) Matrix: Non-Thermal Mechanochemical Polymer Chain Scission Via High-Shear Acoustofluidic Cavitation, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This disclosure establishes a validated mechanochemical engineering specification for the non-thermal decomposition of high-density industrial polymers utilizing a micro-distributed Localized Cymatic Disruption (LCD) Matrix. Conventional polymer recycling methodologies rely on pyrolytic gasification or intensive chemical solvation, processes bounded by high entropic overhead, toxic emissions, and severe material downgrading.
By applying the fluidic substrate mechanics of the Dimensionally Extended Holographic Projection (DEHP) model, this architecture introduces a continuous-flow cylindrical decomposition chamber lined with concentric Lead Zirconate Titanate (PZT-8) piezoelectric transducer arrays. Operating within an industrial acoustic band (20 kHz to 1 MHz), the array drives localized acoustic cavitation inside a micro-shredded …

A Comprehensive Review Of Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems: Integration Challenges And Optimization Strategies, Laith Jaafer Habeeb, Monaem Elmnifi, Wissam H. Alawee
Terra Joule Journal
Hybrid renewable energy systems (HRES) combine complementary renewable generators, storage and coordinated controls to reduce the variability and integration burden associated with single-source plants. This review synthesizes peer-reviewed studies, authoritative energy statistics and documented projects, with emphasis on solar–wind, hydro-coupled and multi-source configurations; storage selection; grid integration; and design and operational optimization. The evidence shows that the value of hybridization depends on resource complementarity, grid conditions, control architecture and life-cycle sizing rather than on technology combination alone. The review therefore distinguishes established findings from illustrative comparisons and avoids presenting literature-derived values as new experimental results. Six recurring implementation challenges are …

Adaptive Phishing Url Detection Using Hybrid Fuzzy C-Means Clustering And Xgboost, Muntadher Mohammed Kareem, Rawaa I. Farhan
Karbala International Journal of Modern Science
Phishing attacks continue to evolve in sophistication, rendering static detection methods increasingly ineffective. Existing URL-based approaches suffer from limited adaptability to emerging phishing patterns, mislabeled training data, and insufficient validation protocols. This paper proposes a hybrid phishing URL detection system that integrates Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) clustering with XGBoost classification, enhanced by a novel Micro Adaptive Feature Extractor (MAFE). The system employs a multi-stage pipeline: feature engineering generating 36 statistical and interaction features, MAFE producing 15 adaptive features through class-aware dynamic weighting, micro-pattern detection, and entropy analysis, and FCM with K=2 clusters providing soft membership features to XGBoost. A two-pass confidence-based …

Theses and Dissertations
Artificial intelligence systems are increasingly deployed as autonomous agents that interact directly with complex environments. Ensuring these agents remain reliable, adaptable, and useful presents an ongoing practical challenge. This dissertation studies agent-environment interactions through a progressive lens, examining behavior from foundational training stability and abstraction discovery to adaptation in unpredictable settings and open-ended creative search. The investigation begins by analyzing how hyperparameter settings affect early-stage Deep Q-Network performance, yielding practical guidelines for debugging reinforcement learning implementations. To address the challenge of long-horizon planning, the discovery of temporally extended options is formalized as the Minimum Shortcut Problem, demonstrating how agents can …

Illuminating Hemophilia: Distinguishing Normal And Factor Deficient Plasma Clots Via Brightfield Microscopy And A Convolutional Neural Network, Jason H. Tullis
Undergraduate Honors Theses
When blood vessels are damaged, clots formed by the protein fibrin stabilize platelets and stem active bleeding. Coagulation, the physiological process that forms fibrin clots from blood plasma, hinges on the clotting cascade, a complex network of interacting proteins. These so-called clotting factors help control fibrin polymerization and thereby coagulation. A clotting factor deficiency generally slows coagulation, resulting in bleeding disorders like hemophilia A, B or C. Diagnosing the deficient factor's identity is essential to optimal treatment. Currently, missing factors are determined in reference laboratories via specialized tests. A more accessible test could help streamline the diagnosis process--in this work, …

Use Of Technology May Negatively Impact Learners, Dajsha A. Avery
Masters Projects
Integration of technology has changed classrooms vastly in the 21st century. The research evaluates if the use of technology may negatively impact young learners. The Theory of Constructivism developed by Jean Piaget and Lev Vygotsky encourages the integration of technology in the classrooms because it allows the students to lead their educational journey. It is discovered that using technology allows students to be more engaged, self-paced and work on specific skills. Additionally, educational apps are helpful to build confidence and are an incentive for students while practicing skills. Yet, it is recommended to only allow up to 7 hours …

Equitable Science Instruction For Diverse Learners: Differentiation With Consideration For Multilingual Students, Alicia Reyelts
Masters Projects
Multilingual learners (MLs) continue to experience persistent achievement gaps in science, often due to the linguistic demands of academic language and the limited availability of instructional supports within general education classrooms. As classrooms become increasingly diverse, science teachers require practical instructional resources that promote equitable access to rigorous, standards based learning while supporting students' language development. This master's project addresses this need through the development of a differentiated seventh-grade chemistry unit aligned with the Michigan Middle School Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). The project is grounded in the principles of differentiated instruction (DI), drawing upon the work of Tomlinson as …

Kindergarten Teachers’ Challenges Embedding Play-Based Learning In A Standards-Based Curriculum, Anna Catalan
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
The problem addressed in this study was that kindergarten teachers in a Western United States elementary school were challenged by standards that have become heavily focused on teaching academic skills at a younger age, instead of teaching with developmentally appropriate practices that allow for play-based learning (PBL). Framed by Vygotsky’s theory of PBL, the purpose of this basic qualitative study was to explore what challenges local kindergarten teachers had when embedding PBL in a standards-based curriculum. Data were collected through 15 semistructured interviews with Kindergarten teachers who had at least 2 years' experience embedding PBL in instruction. Using thematic analysis …

Fragberta: A Fragment-Aware Molecular Representation Model With Sequential Attachment-Based Fragment Embeddings, Neerav Kaushal, Ajay M.N.V. Penmatsa
Michigan Tech Publications
Automated exploration of chemical space through machine learning has become a central strategy in modern drug discovery, where the ability to learn transferable molecular representations directly impacts predictive modeling performance. Recent advances in chemical language models have primarily relied on atom-level string encodings such as SMILES or SELFIES, treating molecules as sequences of individual atoms or characters. However, medicinal chemistry reasoning is often fragment-centric, emphasizing scaffolds, functional groups, and modular substructures rather than isolated atoms. In this study, we introduce FragBERTa, a molecular fragment-aware transformer-based representation language model pretrained using masked language modeling on Sequential Attachment-based Fragment Embedding (SAFE) representations. …
Elimination Of Object Jittering Via Impostor Rendering With Gpu Emulated Doubles, James Govan Moir Iv
Elimination Of Object Jittering Via Impostor Rendering With Gpu Emulated Doubles, James Govan Moir Iv
Theses
Object jittering is an issue that arises when rendering objects at large distances from the scene's origin. This challenge arises in software that focuses on rendering realistically scaled planetary systems and games which simulate large open world environments. While there are several techniques in common use that aim to manage jittering, they come with performance tradeoffs. We propose a new technique that combines GPU based emulated double arithmetic with impostor rendering. Our technique aims to eliminate object jittering while maintaining reasonable performance.

Development Of Minimalist Trifunctional Building Blocks For Chemical Biology Probe Synthesis, Luke E. Bohrer
Development Of Minimalist Trifunctional Building Blocks For Chemical Biology Probe Synthesis, Luke E. Bohrer
Electronic Theses and Dissertations
The completion of the Human Genome Project in 2003 generated expectations that genomic information would accelerate the discovery of new protein drug targets and FDA-approved therapies. However, many small-molecule drug candidates continue to fail in clinical trials, and much of the human proteome remains undercharacterized in terms of structure, function, and disease relevance. Chemical tools are therefore essential for defining protein function, mapping protein interactions, and identifying disease-associated molecular mechanisms. Among these tools, small-molecule chemical probes provide a powerful strategy for connecting biological activity with target identification, functional analysis, and the development of effective therapies.
This dissertation describes the development …
Impact Of Taped Problems Intervention Modification On Children With Deafness, Clyniece Hodge
Impact Of Taped Problems Intervention Modification On Children With Deafness, Clyniece Hodge
Electronic Theses and Dissertations
Children with hearing loss are at an increased risk of experiencing setbacks in various areas of life, including academic performance and employment opportunities. Academically, they are likely to experience poor academic achievement in reading, as well as in mathematics (ASHA, 2013). In comparison to gifted hearing students and average-ability hearing students, students with hearing loss are at a higher risk of low mathematics performance (Hassan & Mohammed, 2019). Despite these known challenges and risk factors, limited research has been conducted to identify effective intervention strategies for improving mathematical outcomes among this population. As such, this study aimed to evaluate the …
Dialogic Communication Ethics As A Hopeful Response To Artificial Intelligence, Kristen Haldeman
Dialogic Communication Ethics As A Hopeful Response To Artificial Intelligence, Kristen Haldeman
Electronic Theses and Dissertations
Within the past five years, a new technology has dominated modern culture: artificial intelligence. With a multiplicity of ways to respond to this new environment, this dissertation situates a response to artificial intelligence by combining the media ecology and communication ethics perspectives. Media ecology explores historical roots and biases of technology to learn about their influence of humanity. A dialogic communication ethics seeks to find an opening for hope to emerge. Hope, grounded in the works of Jacques Ellul and the Christian tradition, offers a new rhetorical perspective by shifting focus away from technology and to our neighbor.
From Theory To Practice: Locating Moral Exemplars In Aristotelian Virtue Ethics, Joseph A. Murray
From Theory To Practice: Locating Moral Exemplars In Aristotelian Virtue Ethics, Joseph A. Murray
McNair Summer Research Program
Abstract
This research examines mentorship within Aristotelian virtue ethics. Aristotle holds that moral excellence develops through habituation, guided practice that forms stable dispositions, rather than through knowledge or rules alone. Central to this process are virtuous mentors who model good character and cultivate practical wisdom (phronesis). Although Aristotle stresses the necessity of such examples, he offers little practical guidance on who they are or how they may be identified. This omission raises a practical challenge: if virtue depends on guidance from the genuinely virtuous, identifying those individuals is essential to the theory’s implementation. My research investigates whether society provides accessible …

Enzymatic Synthesis Of Salicylate In Yersina Pestis Proceeds Via Intramolecular Hydroxyl Group Transfer., Clarke Miller
Enzymatic Synthesis Of Salicylate In Yersina Pestis Proceeds Via Intramolecular Hydroxyl Group Transfer., Clarke Miller
Georgia Journal of Science
The salicylate synthase (YbtS) of Yersinia pestis catalyzes the initial step in the biosynthesis of yersiniabactin, an iron-scavenging siderophore and critical virulence factor. While YbtS is proposed to share a reaction mechanism with other anthranilate synthase homologs, the exact catalytic pathway has remained unresolved. In this work, stable isotope (18O) labeling and mass spectrometry are utilized to clarify the catalytic mechanism of YbtS. The results of the following set of experiments demonstrate that the salicylate hydroxyl group does not originate from solvent water, directly challenging previously proposed models. Instead, the lack of solvent-labeled oxygen incorporation and the absence …

Secondary Water Saturation Of The Rock Mass And Quality Of Rocks In Active Mine Areas Bordering The Flooded Workings Of Closed Mines, Mirosława Bukowska
Journal of Sustainable Mining
The goal of this paper was to inspect the influence of capillary water saturation on the specific strain energy of sedimentary rocks. The relationships between the determined specific strain energies in an air-dried state and in a state of capillary water saturation for detrital rock were exponential, with a strong correlation among the variables. For silt, the relationships were described by a second-degree polynomial function, and the correlation was medium or weak. The relationships for kinetic and dissipated energy were described with a linear function. Pearson correlation coefficients indicated a strong correlation among the variables for detrital rock and a …
