การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1. ศึกษากรอบแนวคิดของการพัฒนาผู้บริหารโรงเรียน และสมรรถนะนักการศึกษาปฐมวัยมืออาชีพ 2. ศึกษาระดับสมรรถนะนักการศึกษาปฐมวัยมืออาชีพของผู้บริหารโรงเรียน 3. ศึกษาความต้องการจำเป็นของการพัฒนาผู้บริหารโรงเรียนตามแนวคิดสมรรถนะนักการศึกษาปฐมวัยมืออาชีพ และ 4. พัฒนานวัตกรรมการพัฒนาผู้บริหารโรงเรียนตามแนวคิดสมรรถนะนักการศึกษาปฐมวัยมืออาชีพ โดยใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยแบบผสมวิธีพหุระยะ แบ่งเป็น 4 ระยะ กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ โรงเรียนที่มีการจัดการศึกษาในระดับปฐมวัย สังกัดสำนักงานคณะกรรมการการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐาน จำนวน 394 โรงเรียน จากประชากรทั้งหมดจำนวน 25,893 โรงเรียน โดยใช้วิธีสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบหลายขั้นตอน ผู้ให้ข้อมูลในการตอบแบบประเมินและแบบสอบถาม คือ ผู้อำนวยการสถานศึกษา จำนวน 330 คน และ 320 คน ตามลำดับ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ แบบประเมิน แบบสอบถาม แบบสัมภาษณ์ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการคำนวณความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน การวิเคราะห์เชิงเนื้อหา และความต้องการจำเป็น ผลการวิจัย พบว่า 1. กรอบแนวคิดของการพัฒนาผู้บริหารโรงเรียน ประกอบด้วย 2 รูปแบบการพัฒนาคือ 1) การพัฒนาระหว่างเวลาการปฏิบัติงาน ได้แก่ การเรียนรู้จากการปฏิบัติจริง การมอบหมายงาน การหมุนเวียนงาน การทำงานร่วมกับองค์กรหรือชุมชนอื่น ๆ การสอนงานและการเป็นพี่เลี้ยง และ 2) การพัฒนานอกเวลาการปฏิบัติงาน ได้แก่ การเรียนในชั้นเรียนหรือคอร์สเรียนต่าง ๆ การเรียนรู้ด้วยตนเอง การเข้าร่วมประชุม/ฝึกอบรม/สัมมนา สถานการณ์จำลอง/บทบาทสมมติ การทัศนศึกษา/การเยี่ยมชม การแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้จากชุมชนแห่งการปฏิบัติ กรอบแนวคิดสมรรถนะนักการศึกษาปฐมวัยมืออาชีพ ประกอบด้วย 1) ความสามารถด้านการส่งเสริมการดูแลและพัฒนาเด็กปฐมวัย 2) ความสามารถด้านการพัฒนาหลักสูตรและสภาพแวดล้อมการเรียนรู้สำหรับเด็กปฐมวัย 3) ความสามารถด้านการจัดการระบบการสังเกต คัดกรอง การวัดและประเมินผล และการจัดทำสารนิทัศน์สำหรับเด็กปฐมวัย 4) ความสามารถด้านการส่งเสริมสุขภาพ ความปลอดภัย และโภชนาการสำหรับเด็กปฐมวัย 5) ความสามารถด้านการเสริมสร้างความสัมพันธ์ ปฏิสัมพันธ์ และการแนะแนวเด็กปฐมวัยและครอบครัว 6) ความสามารถด้านการสร้างการมีส่วนร่วมของครอบครัวและชุมชนในการพัฒนาเด็กปฐมวัย 7) ความสามารถด้านการมีภาวะผู้นำทางการศึกษาปฐมวัย 8) ความสามารถด้านการพัฒนาทางวิชาชีพปฐมวัย 9) …

Mental health has critical importance in the development and functioning of an individual emotionally, psychologically, and socially throughout life. Thus, it is important for an individual to identify mental health issues when experiencing it and seek treatment. However, this understanding appears to differ across cultures and ethnic groups. For instance, Asians in the US have low mental health service utilization. This systematic review of the literature aimed to understand the advantages of placing special education students in mainstream classrooms and identify barriers to positive experiences among special education students. Findings from secondary data showed inclusion creates a stimulating learning environment, improves access to role models, and enhances self-respect and self-esteem. However, challenges like low self-esteem and resentment may contribute to feelings of exclusion among special education students. The findings of this study could be improved in the future by collecting primary data using surveys and interviews and recruiting a large sample to capture in-depth insights on the topic.

This is a large-scale, multi-author collaborative autoethnographic study exploring the concept of building a tangible teaching commons on the example of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) Commons Conference. The project organizers sought to provide a big tent and extended an invitation to attendees to respond to a series of writing prompts about their conference experience. Collaborative writing took place asynchronously over an approximately 60-day period following the close of the conference and generated ≈ 20,000 words. This corpus became the basis for a three-stage emergent coding process, conducted by the four-member steering commit-tee, which led to the identification …

Law reform advocates should be strategic in deploying tax tropes. Through an examination of five common tax phrases—the “nanny tax,” “death tax,” “soda tax,” “Black tax,” and “pink tax”—this Article demonstrates that tax rhetoric is more likely to influence law when used to describe specific economic injustices resulting from actual government duties, as opposed to figurative inequalities. In comparison, slogans describing figurative taxes are less likely to influence law and human behavior, even if they have descriptive force in both popular and academic literature as a short-hand for group-based disparities. This study investigated the stability of latent classes of students with learning disabilities among a heterogeneous sample of elementary-aged children whose first language is Spanish. To this end, children (N = 284) in Grades 1, 2, and 3 at Wave 1 (Year 1) were administered a battery of vocabulary, reading, math, and cognitive measures (short-term memory, working memory, rapid naming, inhibition) in both Spanish (L1) and English (L2). Gonzaga University created a new teacher certification course, Community Languages and Language Acquisition, to provide preservice elementary teachers with an authentic language-learning experience with the aim of cultivating critical consciousness. We collaborated with partners from the Salish- and Marshallese- speaking communities to develop curricular modules.

Code Execution Capability As A Metric For Machine Learning–Assisted Software Vulnerability Detection Models, Daniel Grahn, Lingwei Chen, Junjie Zhang

In this paper, we consider how the ability to learn Code Execution Tasks affects a model’s accuracy on software vulnerability detection (SVD) benchmark datasets. We initially find that models can achieve near state-of-the-art accuracy on SVD benchmarks regardless of their ability to learn Code Execution Tasks. However, these models fail to generalize well across SVD benchmarks. The results indicate a bias in the datasets that allows models to predict non- SVD signals. Under the theory that different collection methods will reduce biases, we investigate combining the SVD datasets. When trained on combined datasets, SVD accuracy is reduced but correlation with …

LIME has emerged as one of the most commonly referenced tools in explainable AI (XAI) frameworks that is integrated into critical machine learning applications–e.g., healthcare and finance. However, its stability remains little explored, especially in the context of text data, due to the unique challenges when it comes to perturbing the underlying data, data that requires a stricter measure of semantic and syntactic consistency. This thesis outlines the raw phenomenon of humans to exist in relation to each other as “passersby,” unaware of their tendencies towards desire and lack, when they should pursue “sonder,” the awareness that someone else’s life is as equally complex as your own. Relationality looks like a performance of bodies when it should embody the essence of dance. The performance of bodies equates to the purpose of passersby to prioritize movement as a way to remain unattentive of personhood. Cervical cancer mortality burden is carried disproportionately by African American women. Early indicators of cervical cancer are identified through prevention screening, a procedure typically performed by a gynecologist. Ideally, the patient group with the most severe mortality would likewise be the group with the most robust communication exchange with their physician to prevent cervical cancer incidence. However, a slew of factors contributes to continued mortalities among Black women. This study uses semi-structured interviews (n=10) and the health belief model to examine one barrier to Black women’s prosocial behaviors regarding routine gynecologic care—awkwardness, which here is conceptualized as social anxiety. The Capri system is an evidential reasoning system based on the belief function calculus to support automated reasoning and decision making in uncertain environments. Example domains of application include, medical diagnosis, as well as identifying biological biomarkers. The purpose of this project is to build a Python web-based and app-based Graphical User Interface (GUI), called PyGrapher, that facilitates building graphical evidential reasoning models. This study explores how an art-based narrative allows Latinas to explore their own experiences of cultural integration in a way that honors their lived experience. The women used art materials to help them explore their identities and, through this process, discovered new truths about themselves through their stories of living between, within, and outside of both cultures. In Chicago, the Cambodian community built a temple in which to practice their religion after founding the Cambodian Association in 1976. The study of human-machine communication seeks to explore journalists’ opinions and perceptions of artificial intelligence (AI) in the newsmaking process, but few studies explore the impact of artificial intelligence on local news, particularly local nonprofit radio journalism. In a case study of a midwestern NPR affiliate, nine local radio journalists were interviewed about how they use AI technology at their local station and their opinions about the role of artificial intelligence as a communicator. The late nineteenth century ushered in an era of global moral panic focusing on prostitution, venereal disease, and working-class female immigrants’ sexuality. By the early 1900s, European and American social reformers cooperated with national governments and immigration bureaus to stop “white slavery,” or the forced movement of white European and American women worldwide for purposes of commercial sex. This dissertation focuses on international trafficking in women and the ways in which accompanying moral panics developed from 1885 to 1915. It demonstrates how middle-class and nationalist assumptions about lower class sexuality, prostitution, and migration resulted in bourgeois social reform that influenced …

This dissertation examined the motivation and source of support for first-generation Latina community college students who aspire to transfer to a four-year institution. The study is informed by Yosso’s Community Cultural Wealth model, to explore how participants navigate their school environment and the vertical transfer process through an asset-based lens. The study aims to dismantle the deficit narrative that is many times told about communities of color. Eight students who self-identify as first-generation community college Latinas, plan on completing an associate degree within 1-2 semesters of the interviews, and have identified a transfer four-year institution were interviewed for this study. …

The purpose of this mixed methods research study was to investigate whether academic capital is associated with student gender, student generation status, and parental education level of Hmong American undergraduate college students. The study also examined the educational experience of Hmong American undergraduate college students to understand the barriers they faced in obtaining academic capital and how they overcame them. The study's first phase collected and analyzed survey responses from 150 Hmong American undergraduate college students.
