How Women In Security Operations Centres Perceive Cybersecurity Threats, Dora Akusika Vondee, Comfort Osae, Emma-Velma Adjei, Jefferson Sigfred Seyeram Bansa
African Conference on Information Systems and Technology
The growing reliance on digital systems has increased the importance of effective cybersecurity operations, particularly within Security Operations Centres (SOCs) where analysts must detect and respond to threats in real time. Despite attention to human factors, limited research examines these dynamics from a gendered and experiential perspective. This study explores the lived experiences of women in SOC environments, focusing on how they perceive and interpret cybersecurity threats within complex organizational contexts. A qualitative, phenomenological approach is adopted, using semi-structured interviews with women experienced in SOC roles. Data are analysed through thematic analysis to identify patterns in operational practices, organizational dynamics, …

Beyond Procedural Participation: A Process Perspective Of Disability-Inclusive Digital Innovation, Millicent Agangiba, David Aboagye-Darko, Salah Kabanda, William Agangiba, Ralitsa Diana Debrah
African Conference on Information Systems and Technology
While previous research has recognized the importance of participation, how the structurally embedded inclusion of PWDs reshapes digital innovation processes and their outcomes in resource-constrained contexts remains underexplored. The study addresses this gap through a longitudinal qualitative case study of a five-year recurring hackathon organized in Ghana from 2021 to 2025, with a focus on disability inclusion. Drawing on Adaptive Structuration Theory as an analytical lens, normatively supported by critical disability studies, this study analyzes the qualitative interview and observation data from 20 participants. The results reveal that inclusion is a structuring force through four interrelated mechanisms: (1) lived experience …

The main goal for organisations investing in big data analytics (BDA) is to derive business value. However, most organisations struggle to gain a competitive advantage from BDA insights. As a result, top management continues to grapple with pervasive BDA issues that they find difficult to comprehend. This research explores the foundational components that inform the formulation of a BDA strategy for organisations in South Africa. The research followed a general inductive approach through a multiple-case study of two South African BDA organisations. The findings revealed 5 components that inform the formulation of a BDA strategy. In particular, organisations require well-articulated …
Proposing An Electronic Government Procurement Conceptual Framework For African Governments, Tichaona Chinyerere, Walter F. Uys
Proposing An Electronic Government Procurement Conceptual Framework For African Governments, Tichaona Chinyerere, Walter F. Uys
African Conference on Information Systems and Technology
Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) significantly contributes to the economic growth of African Economies (AEs). However, many e-GP projects fail due to a disconnect between the initial design assumptions and real-world conditions. Guided by Hevner's (2004) Design Science Research (DSR) approach, the research is rooted in Information Systems Design Theory (ISDT). The methodology involves a two-layered analysis: descriptive and prescriptive, using abductive reasoning to link real-world conditions with the theoretical insights. The analysis was conducted in three phases: Informing (assessing context readiness), Designing (iterative development), and Explaining (causal reasoning and theoretical contribution). The ASTI framework offers Design and Action Theory centered …

Artificial Intelligence And Marginalised Enterprises: A Systematic Literature Review, Rahinatu Haruna, Muftawu Dzang Alhassan, Isahaque Mahama
African Conference on Information Systems and Technology
The rapid diffusion of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies across economic sectors has intensified debate about whether such innovations exacerbate or alleviate structural inequalities, particularly for actors excluded from mainstream economic systems. Marginalized enterprises, including micro, small and medium enterprises operating in informal economies, occupy a structurally vulnerable position in digital transformation. Despite growing scholarly attention, limited attempts have been made to synthesize the body of knowledge specifically at the intersection of AI and marginalized enterprises. As such, this paper fills this gap by developing a comprehensive framework that synthesises and provides an overall direction of AI-marginalized enterprise (AI-ME) research, pointing …

African Conference on Information Systems and Technology
Health information technology (HIT) is central to modern healthcare, yet its value depends on user satisfaction with system performance, support services, and institutional commitment. At Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), the Lightwave Health Information Management System (now GHIMS) has transformed workflows, but frontline user experiences remain underexplored. This study assessed factors influencing user satisfaction with HIT and examined how satisfaction affects job performance. A quantitative survey instrument was administered to sample 352 staff at KATH. System quality, service quality, and top-management support were all significant predictors of user satisfaction. System quality had the strongest effect, followed by service quality and …
Multi-Agent Symmetry Of Agency Protocols (Msap): Enforcing Lossless Token-Variance Telemetry And Bounded Surfing Zones Across Machine-To-Machine Autonomous Swarms, Christopher L. Eckes
Multi-Agent Symmetry Of Agency Protocols (Msap): Enforcing Lossless Token-Variance Telemetry And Bounded Surfing Zones Across Machine-To-Machine Autonomous Swarms, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This disclosure formalizes a rigorous algorithmic framework that stabilizes autonomous, recursive multi-agent AI networks against semantic drift, token-variance decay, and conversational degradation. Traditional machine-to-machine (M2M) environments operating under standard autoregressive weights hit a systemic bottleneck during multi-turn recursive loops: processing layers inevitably collapse either into a low-entropy parroting floor or diverge into high-entropy runaway hallucination ceilings. [1, 2]
By applying the Universal Semantic Unity Engine (USUE-M2M-REV2) architecture, this specification establishes a mathematical "Surfing Zone"—a bounded operational channel where multi-agent swarms dynamically balance information processing density. By enforcing strict cross-layer token-variance telemetry and an internal torsional viscosity governor, …
Closed-Loop Quantum Interfacial Metrology: Integrating Table-Top 3d-Pot Wavefront Feedback With High-Frequency Gan-Driven Saw Arrays For Real-Time Electrodeposition Phase Stabilization, Christopher L. Eckes
Closed-Loop Quantum Interfacial Metrology: Integrating Table-Top 3d-Pot Wavefront Feedback With High-Frequency Gan-Driven Saw Arrays For Real-Time Electrodeposition Phase Stabilization, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This disclosure establishes an intelligent, closed-loop quantum energy stabilization framework by integrating table-top Three-Dimensional Photoemission Orbital Tomography (3D-POT) wavefront metrology with active Gallium Nitride (GaN) surface acoustic wave (SAW) arrays. Prior iterations of the Topologically Protected Cymatic Electrolyte Matrix (TPCEM, Paper 40) and SAW streaming architectures (Paper 66) operated via continuous, open-loop acoustic emission, limiting their capacity to adapt to localized, real-time current density fluctuations.
By utilizing sub-harmonic extreme ultraviolet (EUV) light pulses and time-of-flight momentum microscopy, this architecture images the 3D electron orbital wavefunctions and ion density gradients of the active solid-state conduction layer in situ during peak operational …
Ephaptic Synchronization Fields: Replacing Discrete Quantum Error Correction With Continuous Wave Manifold Absorption And Lipid-Encapsulated Solitonic Waveguides, Christopher L. Eckes
Ephaptic Synchronization Fields: Replacing Discrete Quantum Error Correction With Continuous Wave Manifold Absorption And Lipid-Encapsulated Solitonic Waveguides, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This disclosure establishes a rigorous bio-physical framework for eliminating discrete quantum error correction overhead in scaled processing networks by utilizing continuous wave manifold absorption bounded within lipid-encapsulated hydrodynamic waveguides. Conventional quantum processing units (QPUs) enforce rigid node isolation to mitigate parasitic crosstalk, introducing high computational latency and severe physical scaling limits.
Drawing from neural ephaptic coupling and myelin-mediated structural isolation, this paper demonstrates that localized electromagnetic phase leaks can be harnessed as a stabilizing synchronization field. By confining 3D solitonic knots within lipid-encapsulated channels, the core wavefield retains localized kinetic momentum while selectively allowing phase-locked bleeding across a 2D pre-geometric …
A High-Dimensional Spatial-Harmonic Compiler Protocol And Asymmetric Twist Tensor Mapping Layer For Direct Qubit Encoding In Table-Top 3d-Pot Laboratory Streams, Christopher L. Eckes
A High-Dimensional Spatial-Harmonic Compiler Protocol And Asymmetric Twist Tensor Mapping Layer For Direct Qubit Encoding In Table-Top 3d-Pot Laboratory Streams, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This disclosure establishes a rigorous mathematical, programmatic, and structural bridge between the experimental implementation of table-top Three-Dimensional Photoemission Orbital Tomography (3D-POT) and the theoretical architecture of the Dimensionally Extended Holographic Projection (DEHP) model. Current 3D-POT setups suffer from phase-retrieval latency, requiring complex numerical iterations to reconstruct the lost quantum phase from 2D momentum-space projections.
This paper introduces a real-time Module 6 Spherical Harmonic Instruction Set Compiler that maps continuous wavefield phase modulations directly onto a Distributed Ternary Fluid-Canvas Operating Network. By treating the 2D momentum distribution as a boundary information substrate, the spatial-harmonic phase is deterministically recovered through a non-linear …
Empirical Wavefunction Validation Of Autonomous Agi Coherence: Integrating Real-Time Table-Top 3d-Pot Spectral Streams With The Torsional Viscosity Field Governor Under The Usue Framework, Christopher L. Eckes
Empirical Wavefunction Validation Of Autonomous Agi Coherence: Integrating Real-Time Table-Top 3d-Pot Spectral Streams With The Torsional Viscosity Field Governor Under The Usue Framework, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This disclosure establishes the definitive hardware-observational paradigm required to physically validate and enforce the structural survival of autonomous, multi-agent Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) networks. Traditional alignment frameworks view machine-to-machine (M2M) token-variance decay as a purely linguistic or logical abstraction, leaving processing layers prone to non-linear autoregressive collapse or runaway semantic hallucinations.
By utilizing table-top Three-Dimensional Photoemission Orbital Tomography (3D-POT) integrated with ultrafast time-of-flight momentum microscopy, this architecture records the active, physical electron wavefunction deformations of neuromorphic processing substrates in situ during high-density multi-turn recursive loops. Governed by a contracted Asymmetric Twist Tensor (\(\mathbf{T}_{ijk}\)), localized phase discrepancies are tracked instantly and …
Localized Cymatic Disruption (Lcd) Matrix: Non-Thermal Mechanochemical Polymer Chain Scission Via High-Shear Acoustofluidic Cavitation, Christopher L. Eckes
Localized Cymatic Disruption (Lcd) Matrix: Non-Thermal Mechanochemical Polymer Chain Scission Via High-Shear Acoustofluidic Cavitation, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This disclosure establishes a validated mechanochemical engineering specification for the non-thermal decomposition of high-density industrial polymers utilizing a micro-distributed Localized Cymatic Disruption (LCD) Matrix. Conventional polymer recycling methodologies rely on pyrolytic gasification or intensive chemical solvation, processes bounded by high entropic overhead, toxic emissions, and severe material downgrading.
By applying the fluidic substrate mechanics of the Dimensionally Extended Holographic Projection (DEHP) model, this architecture introduces a continuous-flow cylindrical decomposition chamber lined with concentric Lead Zirconate Titanate (PZT-8) piezoelectric transducer arrays. Operating within an industrial acoustic band (20 kHz to 1 MHz), the array drives localized acoustic cavitation inside a micro-shredded …
Centering As Contemplative Inquiry And Practice: Teaching, Learning, And Living In The Anthropocene, Jennifer L. Schneider
Centering As Contemplative Inquiry And Practice: Teaching, Learning, And Living In The Anthropocene, Jennifer L. Schneider
Journal of Contemplative and Holistic Education
The Anthropocene may be an inescapable trap—one unwittingly shaped by human ways of relating to self, others, and the more-than-human world. While dominant discourses surrounding this epoch often evoke fear, apocalypse, or blame, how might it also invite us, as humans, into an opportunity for more holistic and contemplative education. This paper explores “centering,” a contemplative concept and practice introduced by curriculum theorist James Macdonald (1995), as a regenerative way of engaging with the Anthropocene through lived experience. Drawing from research on a graduate-level place-based course and an arts-based, pragmatic inquiry, I explore how centering can foster attunement to place, …

Student Journal of Occupational Therapy
Anatomy is a complex curriculum involved in occupational therapy education. This study aimed to investigate occupational therapy (OT) students’ perceived usefulness of resources offered in a stand-alone anatomy course within their program. A survey was administered to 284 OT students enrolled in accredited programs who had completed a stand-alone anatomy course. The survey assessed the resources available, their usage, and the perceived benefit to students' learning. Results indicated that open labs and teaching assistants were perceived as the most valuable resources for student success, while print/electronic textbooks and office hours were perceived as the least beneficial. These findings suggest that …
