Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphomas (CTCL) are a heterogenous group of T-cell malignancies in the skin and have poor treatment outcomes in advanced stages. CD5, a surface glycoprotein expressed on most mature T cells, has emerged as a promising target for chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy in systemic T-cell lymphomas. However, its expression profile in CTCL and relevance for targeted therapy remain unclear. Notably, in CTCL, the cell surface expression of receptors, such as CD7 and CD26, tends to become downregulated on the surfaces of malignant T cells In this study, we analyzed single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) data from patients at …

After the US Supreme Court eliminated the federal constitutional right to abortion in 2022, several high-profile legal fights have centered on US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) oversight of mifepristone. Mifepristone (200 mg) is approved, in a regimen with misoprostol, for the medical termination of intrauterine pregnancy through 70 days' gestation. Legal battles over Mifepristone have included a lawsuit challenging the FDA’s initial approval of the drug and the sufficiency of FDA-required restrictions on the drug, as well as lawsuits arguing, to the contrary, that FDA-required restrictions are unnecessary and must be eliminated.

Understanding the inheritance pattern, heterotic groups, and inbreeding depression is a prerequisite for hybrid rice seed production. Therefore, this study employed a full diallel mating system involving two tall varieties and three medium-statured mutants. The results revealed the significant differences in plant height, panicle length, tillers per plant, fertility percentage and grain yield. Heterosis was more pronounced for grain yield (24.2%), followed by tillers per plant (19.8%), and panicle length (19.2%). Conversely, inbreeding depression was lowest for tillers per plant (–11.5%) and grain yield (–6.8%). The additive–dominance model provided a good fit for tillers per plant and plant height, indicating …

To accurately assess the impact of structural cracks on the strength of pavement structures and establish corresponding evaluation indicators based on deflection response, field tests were conducted on multiple sections of expressways in Jiangsu Province. A falling weight deflectometer was used to test a total of 15 measurement points within a 3-meter range on both sides of each crack. The center deflection values at each measurement point were plotted into curves, and three evaluation indicators for cracks, namely deflection range, maximum influence distance on one side of the crack, and influence area, were proposed based on the characteristics of the …

To address the challenge of pile foundation waste slurry disposal, this study proposes a resource utilization approach based on alkali activation technology, enabling rapid solidification of the waste slurry into a flowable solidified soil suitable for engineering backfill. An orthogonal experimental design was employed to determine the optimal mix ratio of the solidifying agent, identified as cement:slag:fly ash = 0.5:0.35:0.15, with NaOH accounting for 6% of the total mass. Based on this, the mechanical and durability properties of the solidified soil were systematically investigated. Results indicate that within a certain range, both unconfined compressive strength and splitting tensile strength increase …

Pavement Performance Prediction Based On Integrated Particle Swarm Optimization-Gray Back Propagation Neural Network Model, Li Xuelian, Huang Yan, Li Xiong
Journal of China & Foreign Highway
The existing performance prediction model of asphalt pavements is limited by low accuracy and a lack of historical measured data. To address this issue and maximally optimize the pavement maintenance decision, a pavement performance prediction model integrating particle swarm optimization (PSO), gray model (GM), and back propagation neural network (BPNN) was proposed based on network management. Meanwhile, the model was compared with the GM (1, 1) model, support vector regression (SVR) model, BPNN model, and PSO-BPNN model. Then, the prediction accuracy of the models was evaluated by the mean absolute error (EMAE), the root mean square error (ERMSE), and the …
