Complex Question Analysis In Voice Commands Using Generate Sql For Database Searching, P. Prabaswara, D. Wardani
Complex Question Analysis In Voice Commands Using Generate Sql For Database Searching, P. Prabaswara, D. Wardani
Baghdad Science Journal
The definition of a complex question is a long sentence with many focal points that may have many answers, involve many entities, or use non-standard linguistic constructs. Complex questions can be obtained from voice commands. It will help some people with blindness or visual impairments. Voice commands have become a mandatory feature of applications, including the basic one to access databases. In this work, the Generate Structured Query Language Configuration (GSC) approach was developed to answer complex questions in the Indonesian language. The non-learning approach was chosen as the learning process needs costly computation and is inappropriate for low-resource languages. …
Uncovering New Insights Through Young Children's Voices: A Qualitative Research Meta-Synthesis On Practicing Mindfulness At School, Elizabeth J Erwin, Mj Palombo, Meredith Valentine, Laura A Clark
Uncovering New Insights Through Young Children's Voices: A Qualitative Research Meta-Synthesis On Practicing Mindfulness At School, Elizabeth J Erwin, Mj Palombo, Meredith Valentine, Laura A Clark
Department of Teaching and Learning Scholarship and Creative Works
The intention guiding the design of this study was to amplify and listen to children's voices in early years research. The aim of this qualitative research meta-synthesis was to engage in new analyses and interpretations about mindfulness through the lens of young children. Our research question emerged as a result of a gap in the literature about the importance of young children as the experts in their own lives, and the absence of a collective understanding about their first-hand perspectives about mindfulness practices in school. We critically examined findings from eight studies using a distinct seven-stage qualitative research meta-synthesis process, …

Demonstration Of 23-Gene Expression Profile Test Utility Within Prame Immunohistochemistry Results: A Case Series, Gregory A. Hosler, Matthew S. Goldberg, Etan Marks
GME Publications
Histopathological examination using hematoxylin and eosin (H&E)-stained tissue is sufficient for diagnosing most melanocytic neoplasms as benign or malignant; however, diagnostic tools such as PRAME (preferentially expressed antigen in melanoma) immunohistochemistry (IHC) and the 23-gene expression profile (23-GEP) test can aid in the analysis of histopathologically ambiguous lesions, which can be referred to as diagnostically challenging, equivocal, indeterminate, or uncertain. When compared with the gold standard of H&E diagnosis by a dermatopathologist, PRAME IHC showed 83.2% sensitivity and 99.3% specificity in an initial validation cohort and 23-GEP showed 91.5% sensitivity and 92.7% specificity in an independent validation cohort. In addition, …

Pre-Freudian Recurrence: Photography And The Trace Before The Uncanny, Iwan Zahar, Karna Mustaqim, Salman Maulana, Irma Damayantie, Tri Wahyudi
Bahasa dan Seni: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, Seni, dan Pengajarannya
This practice-led research proposes recurrence as a systematic photographic method, where Derrida's concept of iterability is achieved through controlled visual iteration. Through recurrence, identical objects undergo transformation across iterations because variations in light, motion and environmental conditions produce perceptual instability rather than visual sameness. This process produces uncanny effects identifiable through perceptual ambiguity (Jentsch), environmental transformation and reappearance of overlooked materials (Schelling). The work engages pre-Freudian concepts of the uncanny - Jentsch's intellectual uncertainty and Schelling's definition of the uncanny as ``something that should have remained hidden but has returned to light.'' Waste materials, typically ignored or excluded from conscious …

The Correlation Between Left Ventricular Filling Pressure And Fluid Responsiveness In Patients With Acute Heart Failure With Reduced Ejection Fraction, Ratna Mariana Tamba, Andika Sitepu, Hilfan Ade Putra Lubis, Abdul Halim Raynaldo, Cut Aryfa Andra, Andre Pasha Ketaren, Yuke Sarastri
Journal of the Hong Kong College of Cardiology
Background: Fluid responsiveness describes the capacity of the myocardium to raise stroke volume by at least 10% when ventricular filling is increased, consistent with the principle outlined by Frank and Starling. In patients with acute heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF), elevated left ventricular filling pressure (LVFP) and impaired contractility frequently place the ventricle on the flattened segment of this relationship, resulting in a limited response to preload changes. Objectives: To investigate the relationship between LVFP and fluid responsiveness in patients with acute HFrEF. Methods: This study aimed to explore the link between LVFP and fluid responsiveness using echocardiography …

Evaluation And Risk Stratification Of Ventricular Premature Complexes In Athletes: Practical Considerations For Differentiating Benign From Malignant Arrhythmias, Jacky Kit Chan, Erik Fung
Journal of the Hong Kong College of Cardiology
Ventricular premature complexes (VPCs) are common in athletes, but distinguishing benign VPCs from malignant arrhythmias remains a clinical challenge. This review summarizes current evidence on VPC evaluation and risk stratification in athletes, emphasizing electrocardiographic (ECG) features, burden, morphology, coupling interval, and exercise response. While VPC prevalence in athletes mirrors the general population, high-risk features–such as non-fascicular, non-outflow tract morphologies (e.g., superior axis or wide QRS), short coupling intervals (<300 ms), and VPC exacerbation during exercise - correlate with underlying structural heart disease (e.g.,arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy, idiopathic left ventricular scar) and adverse outcomes. Guideline-directed assessment recommends comprehensive evaluation for athletes with high VPC burden (>10%), complex arrhythmias, or abnormal imaging. Key findings include: (1) VPC-induced cardiomyopathy risk rises with burden >5–10%, though low-burden VPCs may still indicate arrhythmogenic substrates; (2) uncommon morphologies (e.g., non-fascicular, non-outflow …300>
Successful Rescue Of A Trapped Proglide By Balloon Angioplasty – A Case Report, Cheuk Yin Lai, Guang-Ming Tan
Successful Rescue Of A Trapped Proglide By Balloon Angioplasty – A Case Report, Cheuk Yin Lai, Guang-Ming Tan
Journal of the Hong Kong College of Cardiology
Vascular closure devices (VCD) are commonly used for rapid haemostasis after femoral arterial cannulation, however, serious adverse events may rarely occur. We describe a case where use of Perclose Proglide for closure of the right femoral artery (RFA) access site led to focal arterial dissection, entrapping the footplate of a second Proglide device during staged percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). The trapped device was eventually extracted using intravascular ultrasound (IVUS)-guided balloon angioplasty with cross-over approach. This case highlights the potential complications of VCD and possible endovascular strategies in tackling such issues.

Journal of the Hong Kong College of Cardiology
Background: Small vessel disease of the heart and brain share common risk factors and pathophysiological mechanisms, but imaging-based evidence of a direct link between coronary microvascular dysfunction and cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD) remains limited. This study aimed to assess whether stress myocardial blood flow (MBF) and myocardial perfusion reserve (MPR) are associated with brain magnetic resonance imaging (BMR) markers of CSVD. Methods: This retrospective study included adult patients who underwent both cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) and BMR between January 2021 and December 2025 at a tertiary center. Quantitative stress MBF and MPR were assessed using adenosine stress CMR. …
Beyond Refusal Or Acceptance: Reformulating Administrative Silence In Indonesia From A Comparative French Model, Dian Utami Mas Bakar, Anna Erliyana, Dian Puji N. Simatupang, Armand Desprairies
Beyond Refusal Or Acceptance: Reformulating Administrative Silence In Indonesia From A Comparative French Model, Dian Utami Mas Bakar, Anna Erliyana, Dian Puji N. Simatupang, Armand Desprairies
Hasanuddin Law Review
The administrative silence is constructed as a legal fiction that originated as a negative (silence as refusal) and has since developed into a positive (silence as acceptance). In European administrative law, no system operates exclusively based on one legal fiction. Both negative and positive fictions are employed with defined limitations, as in France. Conversely, in Indonesia, these fictions are considered conflicting and override each other due to complex regulations and undefined limitations, leading to ambiguity. Therefore, this article aims to reformulate the concept of administrative silence in Indonesia through a comparative doctrinal legal research approach. The findings proved that both …

Examining Public Perceptions Of Source Credibility In Mental And Physical Health Communication, Bailey Fraser Dr, Joanna Pozzulo Dr., Emily Pica Dr.
Journal of Social, Behavioral, and Health Sciences
Surveys in Canada and the United States have indicated declines in subjective well-being alongside growing public interest in improving personal health. With increased availability of credible and non-credible health information, particularly online, it is important to understand how the public perceives the credibility of various information sources for physical and mental health information. The present research is the first known study to directly compare perceptions of source credibility across mental versus physical health contexts and to examine associated information-seeking behaviors. Results indicated that participants consistently rated professional sources as more credible than layperson sources and perceived meaningful differences in the …

Lassa fever is a viral zoonotic disease that sickens tens of thousands of people each year when it spills over from its rodent reservoir throughout West Africa. Despite the burden this persistent spillover places on public health, stopping it has proven to be an intractable challenge despite decades of investment and effort. A revolutionary solution is the development of a transmissible vaccine that can spread through the rodent population resulting in immune coverage sufficient to eliminate Lassa virus transmission. Here, we evaluate the feasibility of a transmissible vaccine constructed from native cytomegaloviruses (CMVs) previously isolated from the natural reservoir of …
