Rural Health Situation In South Dakota, W.F. Kumlien Apr 1931

Rural Health Situation In South Dakota, W.F. Kumlien

Research Bulletins of the South Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station (1887-2011)

In consequence, the general plan of the bulletin in describing the conditions and findings of the study, has been to organize it around three related phases. Part I is more or less introductory, showing the relationship of the new health movement as applied specifically to rural South Dakota conditions. Part II deals with the location, number, and distribution of health agencies in the state. Part III attempts to describe more intensively the more important health conditions in Brookings county as being typical of the eastern South Dakota situation, together with suggestions for correcting certain rural health inequalities.

Catholicism In England Under Queen Elizabeth: 1558-1603, William F. Tiernan

The Incidence Of Avian Tuberculosis In Mammals Other Than Swine, L. Van Es, H. M. Martin

Nebraska Agricultural Experiment Station: Historical Research Bulletins

The recognition of a very widespread and intense distribution of avian tuberculosis on the farms of a wide area of the United States, as well as the involvement of a mammalian species also, brought to the foreground the question whether or not the great prevalence of poultry tuberculosis could be of importance also from a public health point of view. This phase of the problem not only pertains to the people on the farms but likewise is of fundamental importance to the consumers of poultry produce. Swine Sanitation, L. Van Es Mar 1930

Swine Sanitation, L. Van Es

Nebraska Agricultural Experiment Station: Historical Circulars

From the very beginning of Nebraska's agricultural development its farmers have recognized that the production of swine must of necessity accompany the growing of corn. The latter, one of the state's most important staples, cannot be marketed in a more economical manner than after having been transformed into pork, bacon, and lard. This density of population, as well as certain practices in management and selective breeding, has brought about conditions favorable for the …
