Reality Distortion Attacks On Autonomous Security Agents: Manipulating Internal World Models In Ai Defenders, Pranav Bhatanagar Mr
Reality Distortion Attacks On Autonomous Security Agents: Manipulating Internal World Models In Ai Defenders, Pranav Bhatanagar Mr
Defensive Publications Series
Autonomous artificial intelligence systems are increasingly deployed as primary defenders in modern cybersecurity environments. These systems rely on internal world models to interpret network behavior, assess threats, and guide automated response. While existing research has focused extensively on attacks that manipulate inputs, outputs, and learning processes, limited attention has been given to threats that target internal perception. This paper introduces Reality Distortion Attacks, a novel class of adversarial strategies that manipulate how autonomous security agents model and understand their operational environment. Rather than inducing immediate misclassification, these attacks gradually reshape situational awareness by influencing sensor inputs, feedback mechanisms, contextual signals, …

Epistemic Corruption Attacks: Poisoning What Ai Security Systems “Know” Rather Than What They “Do”, Pranav Bhatanagar Mr
Defensive Publications Series
As artificial intelligence becomes central to modern cybersecurity operations, defensive systems increasingly rely on internal knowledge representations, long-term memory modules, and retrieval-based reasoning mechanisms. These components enable adaptive learning and contextual awareness, but they also introduce a largely unexamined security vulnerability: the integrity of what the system knows. Existing research on AI security has primarily focused on attacks that manipulate outputs, bypass detection mechanisms, or compromise execution pathways. Far less attention has been given to attacks that corrupt internal knowledge structures themselves. This paper introduces Epistemic Corruption Attacks, a novel class of adversarial strategies that target the belief systems, embeddings, …

Hallucination-Driven Exploits: Weaponizing Ai False Confidence In Cybersecurity Systems, Pranav Bhatanagar Mr
Defensive Publications Series
Artificial intelligence systems, particularly large language models, are now routinely used in operational cybersecurity environments. They assist analysts with alert triage, incident response, threat intelligence interpretation, and day-to-day decision-making in situations where information is incomplete and time pressure is constant. Much of the existing research on AI security has focused on direct attacks such as prompt injection, jailbreaks, or data poisoning. In contrast, this paper examines a quieter but increasingly consequential risk: the impact of confident hallucinations in security-critical contexts. When AI systems provide incorrect guidance with high confidence, the resulting decisions can materially affect defensive posture even when no …

Emotion Regulation And Stress In Adult Learning Through Social Media Platforms, Jennifer Irocky
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
Social media platforms have become significant contexts for informal learning among adults, offering access to information and peer exchange outside of formal educational settings. These platforms are also emotionally complex environments in which stress and emotion regulation may shape learning outcomes. The purpose of this quantitative, nonexperimental study was to examine the relationship between social media use and informal learning in adults, with perceived stress and emotion regulation examined as moderating variables. Secondary data from the Stress in America: The State of Our Nation, 2007–2018 surveys were analyzed, using binary logistic regression with moderation while controlling for age, gender, and …

HDAC inhibition shows promise in cancer treatment but pan-HDAC inhibitors cause gastrointestinal issues in 48% of patients. Understanding HDAC activation mechanisms is crucial to treating diverse diseases beyond cancer. Our study reveals that inositol polyphosphate multikinase (IPMK) and inositol hexakisphosphate (InsP6 or phytic acid), enriched in vegan diets, play essential roles in activating the HDAC3 epigenetic axis and maintaining intestinal barrier integrity. IPMK binds to HDAC3 and drives InsP6 synthesis, which selectively activates HDAC3 at a 10 nM concentration by recruiting the DAD domain of its corepressor protein. IPMK deletion diminishes HDAC3 activation, leading to histone hyperacetylation and MMP gene …

Tumor Necrosis Factor Alpha Inhibition Improves Fetal Growth In A Rat Model Of Preeclampsia, Laura E. Coats, Nathan Campbell, Dylan Solise, Gabrielle M. Chamoun, Adam Z. Rawls, Alexandra Demesa, Ty Turner, Baoying Zheng, Barbara T. Alexander, Babbette Lamarca
Physiology & Biophysics
Introduction
Tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) is elevated 2-fold in women with preeclampsia. Preclinical investigation shows TNF-α blockade reduces maternal blood pressure in reduced uterine perfusion pressure (RUPP) rats and attenuates the reduction in fetal weight. However, the benefits versus harms of this therapy on fetal growth and underlying pathogenesis are unknown. Thus, this study tested the hypothesis that maternal treatment with the soluble TNF-α inhibitor Etanercept (Etan) during late gestation improves placental perfusion, nutrient transport, and morphology, thereby improving fetal growth in the RUPP model of preeclampsia compared with Sham controls. We further …University Of New Hampshire 2025-2026 Faculty Senate Xxx - February 9, 2026 Minutes Summary, Faculty Senate
