- A cross-sectional study was conducted , on 1048 adolescent pupils(554 male &494 female) , in Al-Diwaniya Governorate , Iraq.-Twelve intermediate and secondary schools were chosen consecutively as a study setting ( 6 from Diwaniya city as urban ; 3 from Shamiya &3from Gammas as rural).-All chosen pupils (aged 12–18years) were considered in the self reporting questionnaire & face to face interview during the period from the 1st of May to the 30th of November 2010.-Out of 1048 adolescents assessed, 183 have positive mental disorders, giving a point prevalence of 17.46% .-Among the examined pupils are (79) diagnosed with anxiety …

This study was performed to determine the effects of Evening primrose oil (EPO) on haemostatic parameters following 30 and 60 days administration of 90 mg/kg (EPO) to healthy male rabbits. The laboratory resulting in significant increase in Prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT) assays (p<0.01), platelets count significantly decreased (p<0.01) at both times. While fibrinogen concentration are insignificantly decreased. These effects might be due to inactivation or inhibition of factors affecting coagulation.

This study was conducted in the Mid-Euphrate region (Al-Qadisya,Najaf and Karbala provinces) during the period from 1/June 2004 to 1/ May 2006. Two types of laboratory tests were used in this study for the diagnosis of visceral  eishmaniasis in suspected patients who attending to the pediatric hospitals in these provinces. The study included 150 child suspected of having visceral leishmaniasis depending on the clinical features, haematological changes and 2 tests (Dipstick and ELISA) were used for the diagnosis the disease.
