This study aimed to detection of plasmid mediated aac(6´)-Ib-cr gene in fluoroquinolon resistant Acinetobacter spp. A total of 154 clinical and inanimated samples were collected from inpatients and medical devices from different units in Al-Dewaniyah Teaching Hospital during a period of five months from November 2011 to March 2012. Sources of specimens were ICU (n= 85), burn unit (n=43) and urine from inpatients suspected with UTI (n=26). Totally, 16(10.3) Acinetobacter spp. were obtained. Thermo luminescent dosimeters (TLDs) have been used to measure the entrance surface doses (ESDs) of patients undergoing abdomen diagnostic X-ray examinations in Erbil. A total of three public hospitals and 286 patients were included in this investigation. The ages of the patients involved were from 40 years to 85 years, while their weights ranged from 64 kg to 71 kg. Mean, of ESDs are reported. The aim: Detection of some genes that encode to some extended spectrum beta-lactamase enzymes in E. coli and Klebseilla spp. isolates from colon and bladder cancer patients by using the phenotypic and genotypic method. Methods: A total of 61 stool and urine samples collected from 61 patients definitely and clinically diagnosed with cancer. All these isolates were identified by conventional methods and confirmed by VITEK-2 system. Antimicrobial susceptibility testing was determined using disk diffusion methods. Thrush was an important problem in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) in all the world and also in our hospitals. So, this study come to focused on genotyping and antifungal susceptibility to the 22 isolates of Candida albicans obtained from thrush babies in (NICU) in Al-Zahra educational Hospital, an-Najaf governorate, Iraq. From February to August 2010, 33 cases of thrush were tested. The present study was carried out from Sept. 2010 to Jul. 2011 to detect the viral load and genotypes of HCV infections among asymptomatic peoples and patients referred to the central blood bank, center of thalassemia /AL-Haboby Hospital, renal dialysis unit/Al- Hussein Teaching Hospital and public health laboratory at Thi-Qar province. Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction Technique (RT-qPCR) was implemented on 90 individuals of anti-HCV seropositive by ELISA III assay.
