Conceptual Model For Protecting Personal Data By Depersonalization In Information Systems: Principles, Components, And Life Cycle, Zarina Ildarovna Azizova
Chemical Technology, Control and Management
This article presents a systematic approach to personal data protection through depersonalization in the context of regulatory pressure and growing cyber threats. It proposes a comprehensive conceptual model that formalizes the de-identification process as a manageable sequence of steps, from attribute classification and method selection to mandatory verification of the result. The article also provides a comparative analysis of existing depersonalization methods in terms of their applicability within the proposed model. The model serves as a basis for the development of specific algorithms, as demonstrated by the example of a data shuffling approach.

Staff Education To Improve Culturally Responsive Mental Health Care For African Immigrants, Martha Eseh
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
Mental health disparities among African immigrant populations are often influenced by cultural stigma, limited mental health literacy, and providers’ insufficient understanding of culturally specific beliefs and help-seeking behaviors. In outpatient psychiatric settings, these gaps can negatively affect engagement, diagnosis, and treatment outcomes. The purpose of this quality improvement project was to evaluate whether a structured staff education program could improve provider knowledge of culturally responsive care for African immigrant patients. Guided by the Johns Hopkins Evidence-Based Practice model, a pretest–posttest design was implemented with 13 interprofessional staff members, including psychiatric providers, therapists, and support staff, in an outpatient mental health …

The Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) program represents Indonesia's strategic effort to strengthen human capital by addressing malnutrition among school-aged. However, evidence suggests that school feeding alone is insufficient without structured nutrition education to promote sustained behavioral change. The present study examines opportunities and feasibility for embedding nutrition education within MBG implementation. Two-stage design was performed, including curriculum content reviews and qualitative case study design. A systematic curriculum content analysis was conducted across the school-based curriculum (KTSP) (2006), K-13 curriculum (2013 – 2017), and the Merdeka curriculum (2022 - present), using predefined nutrition competencies and behavioral domains as analytical frameworks. As the educational landscape changes with the widespread use of generative artificial intelligence (AI), we have made the deliberate choice to adapt with intention through the constructive integration of this tool within the curriculum. Writing assignments are often vulnerable to AI shortcuts, and therefore, we reimagined the project in our online microbiology lab to incorporate AI in a structured and pedagogically sound way that prioritizes both the writing process and the final product. Students must work with AI to create a script for a 5-minute video which they then illustrate and record on the differences between Staphylococcus aureus and methicillin-resistant …
Genetic Variation In Slc6a4 And Cytochrome P450 Enzymes: Implications For Personalized Antidepressant Treatment In Major Depressive Disorder, Claudia Buda
Harriet L Wilkes Honors College Theses
Depression is one of the most common psychiatric disorders worldwide, with a significant impact on quality of life and global health. Despite the widespread use of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) as first-line treatment, individual responses vary significantly due to genetic differences. Variations in the serotonin transporter gene (SLC6A4) and the cytochrome P450 (CYP450) enzyme family have been identified as key factors influencing the efficacy, metabolism, and tolerability of SSRIs. This thesis examines the impact of polymorphisms in SLC6A4 and CYP450 on SSRI pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics, explores their potential for guiding personalized antidepressant therapy, and discusses the ethical and practical …

School of Biological and Marine Sciences
Pseudo-nitzschia and Dinophysis are two commonly occurring phytoplankton genera along Europe’s Atlantic coast. Species within these genera can produce toxins that accumulate in shellfish and pose health risks if consumed. Sustained monitoring of shellfish growing waters has generated decades-long time-series for these two genera, which have been considered for use in statutory biodiversity assessments as proxies for diatoms and dinoflagellates. There is also evidence that distributions are shifting; It is important to document these changes to anticipate risks for shellfisheries, and higher trophic levels. We assessed whether Pseudo‑nitzschia and Dinophysis data could support statutory biodiversity assessments and quantified distributional change …

Methods: Whole-genome sequencing (WGS) with AI-powered platform for variant detection and interpretation followed by Sanger sequencing targeted variant segregation analysis were used. Reverse transcription quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) studies were performed to assess gene and protein expression levels, respectively.
Results: We describe two unrelated families with intrafamilial variability in the TBX4 phenotypic expressivity, including LLDDs. WGS analyses revealed two frameshift variants, c.1019del; p.(Arg340GlnfsTer40) in the penultimate exon and c.1167dup; p.(Arg390GlnfsTer30) in the last exon …

INTRODUCTION: Newborns who are born too soon, too small or sick are a vulnerable group who require special/high-dependency/intensive care after birth. Infant and Family-Centred Developmental Care (IFCDC) is an integrated healthcare approach that prioritises and values parental/familial involvement and participation by fostering competencies in essential newborn care skills and thus parental empowerment. There is a paucity of data globally on the IFCDC practice and the challenges faced by parents/caregivers during hospitalisation and post-discharge and the potential country-specific support.
OBJECTIVE: The primary objective of the HOPE study (Global Study on Newborn HOspitalization and Parental Experiences) is to assess parents'/caregivers' experiences, needs …
