The Effect Of Rehabilitative Exercises In A Sandy Environment On Improving The Range Of Motion Of The Knee Joint In Patients With Partial Meniscus (Medial) Tears Among Baghdad Volleyball Club Players, Riam Emad Jasim, Huda Badawi Shibeeb
Modern Sport
Rehabilitation exercises are one of the principles of sports rehabilitation for treating sports injuries, including partial meniscus tears. Injuries occurring in body regions and organs, especially the knee joint, reflect the flexibility and sudden movements of other joints and the body as a whole. This prompted the researchers to find effective opportunities to enhance the functionality of these organs and provide what they lack. One such method is rehabilitation exercises in a sandy environment, which provides a safe setting. The research goal is to prepare rehabilitation exercises in a sandy environment for volleyball players in Baghdad clubs who are suffering …

Vicarious Trauma In Counterterrorism Practitioners, Daisy Muibu, Joseph Young, Michael Becker, Sarah Lynch, Ethan Ferguson, Lindsay Barclay
Reports, Projects, and Research
Those exposed to violence and trauma as part of their careers may experience significant distress; yet there remains a dearth of literature exploring occupational outcomes as a result of this exposure to violence, namely through the pathways of vicarious trauma (VT) and secondary traumatic stress (STS). The current study seeks to explore how violence and trauma exposure during one’s job in the counterterrorism workforce can lead to the adverse outcomes of VT and STS, which will in turn impact one’s job performance and job satisfaction. We use a mixed methods approach, using a quantitative survey and qualitative interviews to gain …

Jurnal Fisioterapi Terapan Indonesia
Cerebral palsy (CP) is a condition of movement and function disorders in children that requires continuous physiotherapy. One factor in the successful development of children with CP is the existence of a home program/independent therapy carried out by parents at home. In providing the home program, physiotherapists at YPCP Surabaya gave leaflets to parents. However, this was less effective because it was easily damaged, so the home program media was replaced with video. The effectiveness of both in increasing parental compliance in carrying out the home program every day is not yet known. Objective: to find out the difference in …

Oregon Population Forecast Program
To achieve more affordable, fair, and equitable outcomes in the housing planning process, the Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development and Oregon Housing and Community Services developed a plan to address past and ongoing obstacles to access to affordable housing. This plan incorporated population projections with detail by age, race/ethnicity, and disability status, and for American Indian tribal lands with which to make a more detailed assessment of housing access and future housing needs. This report, prepared by the Portland State University Population Research Center, includes updates to previously published forecasts for the Grand Ronde Community and Celilo Village.

Hospitals receive payments through claim submissions with complete documents to the Social Security Administering Agency (BPJS) Health. However, not all inpatient claims have been submitted to BPJS Health, and there are still 16.97% pending inpatient claims. In claims that are not approved, claims can be resubmitted, but time constraints for the claim process have resulted in 2.64% of inpatient cases in 2022 not resubmitted. Qualitative research through in-depth interviews with 15 respondents aims to analyze the management of inpatient claims for BPJS Kesehatan Kebayoran Baru Hospital from November 2022 to April 2023. Facial Skin Rejuvenation With Poly-L-Lactic Acid (Plla): Four Case Studies, Stanley Setiawan, Theressia Handayani, Stefani Luziani
Journal of General - Procedural Dermatology and Venereology Indonesia
Background: Facial aging is characterized by the decline and loss of skin structure. Poly-l-lactic acid (PLLA) is a biopolymer and biodegradable injection material that functions as a collagen stimulator. This active ingredient works by stimulating the formation of skin collagen after interacting with the PLLA crystal component. The expected final result is an increase in the skin volume with the thickening and increased density of the skin layers due to collagen remodeling. At present, data on the application of PLLA for facial photorejuvenation remains limited.
Case Illustration: Four patients aged 22-49 years old, with different severity of aging, underwent PLLA …

Journal of General - Procedural Dermatology and Venereology Indonesia
Background: Pemphigoid gestationis (PG) is an uncommon autoimmune vesiculobullous skin disorder associated with pregnancy, that occurs during mid-to-late pregnancy and immediate postpartum period. The diagnosis of PG is based on histopathology and direct immunofluorescence. Dermoscopy is a non-invasive diagnostic tool that provides a connection between macroscopic clinical dermatology and microscopic dermatopathology.
Case Illustration: We reported a case of a 22-year-old primigravida woman with postpartum PG. This PG case was diagnosed clinically, dermoscopically, and histopathologically.
Discussion: Since PG is thought to be a variation of the bullous pemphigoid (BP), the two resemble each other clinically and immunologically. The well-defined structures with …

Immunomodulators In Leprosy: A Narrative Review, Kesya Kimberly, Siti Aisha Nabila Ferina, Prima Kartika Esti
Journal of General - Procedural Dermatology and Venereology Indonesia
Background: Leprosy is a chronic infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium leprae. Current therapeutic regimen, like the multidrug therapy (MDT), are effective in treating most cases, but new cases continue to emerge in Indonesia every year. While multidrug therapy alone is adequate for treating leprosy, there is a need for adjuvant treatment options to boost the host’s immune system to prevent the worsening of leprosy and reduce the activation of M. leprae, such as immunomodulators.
