The Fear Of Covid-19 Scale: A Case Of A Filipino Adaptation And Validation Study, Alexie Basileyo, Dennis Erasga
Asia-Pacific Social Science Review
As a significant international health emergency, COVID-19, formerly known as 2019-nCov and later termed SARS-Cov-2 or Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2, has introduced a myriad of behavioral, emotional, and social problems, most notably the fear of the virus itself. In response, a team of researchers developed a scale that measures COVID-19-related fear in 2020. Today, however, the scale has not been fully tested among the Filipino population in general. Hence, the present research addressed the situation by adapting and validating the original scale. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and other relevant reliability analyses were employed to assess the scale’s reliability …

BACKGROUND: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), agents that stimulate T-cell function, have become the standard first-line treatment for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, they may also cause immune-related adverse events (irAEs), which are rare and have not been extensively reported. Here, we describe a case of severe febrile neutropenia and pancytopenia after atezolizumab plus bevacizumab (atezo/bev) therapy and its treatment course.
CASE DESCRIPTION: The combination of atezo/bev was initiated as the first-line treatment for a man in his early 50s, who was diagnosed with unresectable HCC. The first treatment cycle was administered in the outpatient setting, and the patient developed a …

Analisis Penerapan Activity-Based Costing Tindakan Debridemen Bedah Pada Diagnosis Tunggal Di Kamar Operasi Rskd Duren Sawit Tahun 2022, Reynaldi Fattah Zakaria, Mardiati Nadjib
Jurnal Ekonomi Kesehatan Indonesia
In 2022, RSKD Duren Sawit has officially held operating room services. The demand for more comprehensive operating room services increased rapidly. The temporary operating room rates were set by adapting the rates of other regional hospitals and the Governor of DKI Jakarta's regulations. There is a huge difference in costs between the hospital rates and the INA-CBGs claim rates, especially for surgical debridement performed in the operating room. One of the factors causing the difference is the undetermined cost for debridement based on the unit cost component. Knowing the unit-cost debridement in the operating room according to the cost per …

Stunting is a significant issue for nations, affecting both public health and economic development. It results from a combination of direct and indirect causes. The government addresses stunting through specific nutritional interventions targeting direct causes and sensitive nutritional interventions for indirect causes. Given the strong link between stunting and poverty, social assistance programs (BANSOS) such as the Family Hope Program (PKH) and Rice for the Poor (RASKIN) are crucial in combating stunting by improving socioeconomic conditions. This study analyzes the impact of these social assistance programs on stunting in children under five, using data from the 2007 and 2014 Indonesian …

The success of a country’s health development is marked by achieving fair access to healthcare and protecting the population from financial risks of health. Household spending on healthcare, or out-of-pocket (OOP) expenses, in Indonesia, remains far above the ideal limit set by the WHO. There is a noticeable disparity in OOP health expenditures across provinces in Indonesia. The five provinces with the highest per capita OOP expenses are on Java island. This high per capita OOP spending on Java indicates potential issues with access to healthcare services and financial protection in this region. This study aims to identify factors influencing …

The Effect Of Rehabilitation Exercises Accompanied By Ultrasound Waves On Improving The Range Of Motion In Swimmers Suffering From Shoulder Impingement Syndrome, Nabaa Hameed Chaloub, Suhad Haseeb Haseeb Abdul Hamid, Badriya Al-Hadabi
Modern Sport
The research aims to develop rehabilitative exercises using ultrasound for swimmers suffering from shoulder impingement syndrome, and to explore the effects of these rehabilitative exercises on improving the range of motion in swimmers afflicted with this syndrome. The researchers hypothesize that there are statistically significant differences between the pre-test and post-test results of the rehabilitation of swimmers with shoulder impingement syndrome in favor of the post-test results for the experimental group. The experimental method relied on a sample of swimmers suffering from shoulder impingement syndrome, totaling seven individuals, representing 77.78% of their population, which consisted of male swimmers with Type …

Controlling the time to perform each part of the human wheel movement in a way that serves the goal is one of the important factors that determine the success of the continuity of the movement performance. Therefore, it is very important for the athlete to learn the ability to control how to show acceleration during rotation, and show momentary stillness during balance. The success of executing the human cartwheel depends on the strength and speed of propulsion of the legs and hands, as well as on the mutual relationship between them. It is noted that one of the problems that …

A Comparative Review Of Soil Carbon Sequestration Methods In Brazil’S Agriculture, Skylar Cheng
A Comparative Review Of Soil Carbon Sequestration Methods In Brazil’S Agriculture, Skylar Cheng
Discussions
Brazil is under unique pressure to adopt sustainable agricultural practices due to its intricate biodiversity and globally dominant agricultural sector. Increasing soil degradation, agricultural land expansion, and rising levels of atmospheric carbon are nationwide concerns that require multifaceted solutions. Integrated agricultural systems, which rehabilitate soils through crop, forage, and livestock rotation as well as biochar—a carbon-rich soil amendment—can address such concerns. These sustainable farming practices improve carbon sequestration and soil fertility; however, uptake remains minimal due to environmental, economic, and policy barriers. Accordingly, this paper proposes a comprehensive model of integrated systems and biochar, in which the benefits of one …
