Introduction. Cancer is still an enormous health problem in the world and rank second as the most common cause of mortality. End-stage cancer requires end-of-life or palliative care to improve the patient’s quality of life before death. Homecare services have become an option for providing palliative care to avoid long-term hospital stays. The study aimed to provide an overview of the treatment duration and other factors in end-stage cancer patients regarding the selection of homecare services at Medistra Hospital during the period of 2021-2023.

Introduction. The emergence of the Omicron variant during the pandemic had an impact on the effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccine. The spread of Omicron increased rapidly even in populations that had been vaccinated with booster doses, causing a high incidence of infection. Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD) is a hereditary disorder characterized by formation and progressive growth of cysts in the kidneys and other organs such as liver, spleen, and pancreas. Recent advances have led to possibilities to target the main cause of cyst growth, cAMP. Somatostatin targets cAMP and inhibits its production directly and indirectly in kidney and liver, which might potentially prevent renal and liver cyst progression in ADPKD. Even after nasopharyngeal Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) swab investigation revealed no COVID-19 infection, some individuals continue to have long COVID symptoms. According to a research published in 2022, 4.5 – 36.6% of patients had symptoms following a COVID-19 infection more than three months. Long COVID symptoms may impact multiple organ systems, including the cardiovascular system. Chest pain, palpitations, arrhythmia, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, and other symptoms are possible appeared in long COVID. D-Dimer, echocardiography, CT scan, cMRI and other supportive test showed meaningful results. The current study delved into the problematic achievement gap between African-American graduates students and other groups, specifically in the online learning environment. African-American graduate students’ lower achievement is problematic due to its lost opportunity costs and social subjugation of an entire group of Americans. The study’s purpose was to improve our understanding of this problem in order to better inform the content and packaging of future academic delivery to this population. The researchers developed a deep learning-based smart healthcare monitoring system based on IoT and cloud technology. The proposed system integrates IoT sensors for real-time collection of physiological data, such as ECG, blood pressure, and heart rate, with cloud computing for secure storage and advanced analytics. Utilizing the Bi-LSTM model with fuzzy inference systems (FIS), the framework enhances the accuracy and efficiency of heart disease prediction. According to the evaluation, the model performs better in terms of accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score than traditional LSTM and FLSTM models. Real-Time Congestion Control And Load Optimization In Cloud-Manets Using Predictive Algorithms, Preeti Rani, Mohammed Hussien Falaah

Cloud-MANET environments require a system to balance load and control congestion. As a result of integrating real-time network metrics with predictive traffic algorithms, the proposed model optimizes the management of dynamic topologies, network bandwidth constraints, and fluctuating traffic loads. In addition to energy-aware multi-path routing, the framework incorporates adaptive congestion control mechanisms to ensure data transmission is efficient and stable. This algorithm provides higher packet delivery ratios, reduces end-to-end delays, and increases throughput over existing algorithms, according to the evaluation results. Hybrid Cloud-MANET systems can benefit from this approach by optimizing resource utilization and network performance.

In this paper, the Internet of Things (IoT) and machine learning algorithms that incorporate regressor are integrated to improve precision agriculture. Data from Internet of Things sensors like temperature sensors, humidity sensors, and soil sensors can be collected and analysed using machine learning algorithms like Support Vector Machines (SVMs) and Multilayer Perceptrons (MLPs). Long COVID (LC) is characterized by prolonged, diverse symptoms affecting multiple organ systems, including but not limiting to the immune, neurological, and cardiovascular systems. This mini review explores the biological abnormalities underpinning LC, focusing on immune dysregulation, chronic inflammation, oxidative stress, and mitochondrial dysfunction as key contributors to its persistence. Recent studies indicate that LC may involve sustained elevation of pro-inflammatory cytokines, autoimmunity, and T-cell exhaustion, all of which perpetuate a state of low-grade chronic inflammation. Additionally, oxidative and nitrosative stress linked to mitochondrial damage exacerbates fatigue, mood and cognitive symptoms, while hormonal imbalances and metabolic disturbances further complicate the …

This investigation examined 100 individuals who had symptoms of acute inflammation affecting the cornea, conjunctiva, and eyelids. Hilla City's private eye clinic welcomed the patients. For 18--24 hours at 37°C, the materials were cultured in both aerobic and anaerobic conditions. Colony morphology, microscopy, and biochemical testing were used to diagnose Staphylococcus aureus infections. The specific positive cards of the Vitek 2 system were used to isolate these isolates. This study emphasizes the role of sport employees’ passion in intercultural sporting events, specifically within professional sport leagues in the United States. The proposed framework identifies key factors that shape employee passion and explore its impact on organizational success, highlighting how fostering passion enhances innovative work behavior, intercultural communication effectiveness, task performance, and psychological well-being. Additionally, this research highlights the importance of cultural intelligence and meaningful work within the conceptual framework. Activated carbon is a nanomaterial that is often used as an effective adsorbent. Activated carbon raw materials can use biomass, such as coffee grounds, which can be found along with the growth of public interest in coffee drinks. Chemical activators are used for activation to increase biomass carbon's adsorption capacity. Using K2CO3 activator to increase the specific surface area of activated carbon is more harmless than KOH. Oil sludge is a waste derived from upstream and downstream activities of the oil and gas industry which is estimated at 10,000 tonnes generated from all PERTAMINA downstream activities spread across various fields, processing units and depots throughout Indonesia. RBI and TBI strategies are comparatively reviewed in terms of their contribution to maintaining asset integrity for asset owners in the hydrocarbon and chemical industries. The objective is to assess various methods on a cost-efficient and risk-managed operational safety basis. It utilizes common industry standards such as API 580 for RBI, and API 510, API 570, and API 653 for TBI, and also case studies and literature analysis. The analysis of data was conducted to examine how each approach deals with inspection planning and decision-making. This study aims to investigate the effect of employer branding on employee retention with the mediating role of job satisfaction, organizational identification, and career development. This research uses a quantitative method using a questionnaire survey involving 400 workers in Jabodetabek technology companies. Data processing was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Lisrel 8.8 software and it was found that employer branding has a significant influence on job satisfaction, organizational identification, and career development. Background: This study aimed to determine the prevalence of lipohypertrophy and lipoatrophy and their associated risk factors in individuals with type 2 diabetes taking insulin.
Methods: This descriptive and cross-sectional study used the STROBE checklist. In January 2022 to April 2022, 271 individuals with type 2 diabetes were studied. The presence of lipoatrophy and lipohypertrophy was evaluated with inspection and palpation, and the sociodemographic and clinical characteristics of the patients were obtained using a questionnaire. Data were collected in face-to-face interviews.

Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the leading form of liver cancer and the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths globally. Exosomes in the HCC microenvironment can induce significant changes in natural killer (NK) cells during endocytosis. The present study aimed to distinguish exosomes in the blood of HCC patients, analyze changes in NK cell phenotype, and evaluate peroxidase and toluidine blue staining as alternative methods for observing the changes.
