This review examines the impact of the Paris Agreement's implementation on the development of wind energy across three regions, the European Union (EU), Brazil, and Saudi Arabia. These selected regions respectively represent developed, developing, and OPEC member countries. The Paris Agreement aimed to limit the global warming temperature 1.5 C by 2030, encouraging actors to transition their energy into cleaner, renewable sources. Wind energy thus emerged as a tool in the decarbonization efforts of the agreement. This research investigates the potential of biodegradable packaging to reduce single-use plastic waste in the beverage industry and explores the regulatory and cost-related barriers to its adoption in developing countries. The beverage sector is a major contributor to global plastic pollution, and biodegradable alternatives offer a promising path toward sustainability. Using a mixed-methods approach, this study combines qualitative interviews with industry experts and case studies of businesses implementing biodegradable solutions, alongside quantitative survey data from 100 manufacturers and 200 consumers across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Drought can directly impact human health through agriculture. In the distant past, human health data is limited, however we can use studying agricultural data to gain insight into the impacts of drought on human health. This study focuses on phytoliths from animal diets in to shed light on human health during the Assyrian Empire (911 – 609 BCE), an agrarian empire that declined during an arid period.

Conventional poultry management techniques are failing to meet increased demand for poultry products as the population continues to grow. As a result, this issue has become a major concern for small-scale farmers, particularly those in low-income areas, in terms of food security. One of the main reasons for this is that the farmers rely on intensive farming methods which are inefficient for automating daily poultry operations. The long-term study of phytoplankton variability in the coastal waters of Alexandria encounters significant challenges due to several factors such as inconsistency in sampling efforts conducted across various spatial and temporal scales, limitations of short-term monitoring methods, rapid urbanization and economic expansion, and their diverse eco-environmental impacts. The article analyzes a quantitative and qualitative dataset on algal bloom variabilities in Alexandria marine ecosystem from 1992 to 2023, highlighting changes in bloom patterns and trends such as annual cycles, short-term trends, rapid turnover rates of bloom structures, recurrent blooms of various classes, escalation in the frequency and magnitude, unusual episodic events, …

Nigeria has abundant supplies of biomass resources and agro-forestry residues (waste), including sawdust, whose potentials are yet to be fully utilized for economic advantage. This study was undertaken to investigate the properties of paperboard briquettes produced from a mixture of shredded waste paper (pulp) and sawdust using starch as binder. The paperboard briquettes were produced manually by compressing soaked mixtures of pulp and sawdust in a wooden mould (28 cm x 28 cm x 1 cm) with a compressive load of 26 kg in the mixing ratios (by weight) 100:0, 70:30, 50:50, 70:30, and 0:100 of pulp to sawdust, respectively. …

The wild olive, Olea europaea subsp. cuspidata (Wall. & G.Don) Cif is one of the three dominant species of the common tree exits in the ecosystem of the mountains of northern and southern Oman. There are insufficient studies about the use, ecology and preservation of this species in Oman. The mountain ecosystem habitation is highly sensitive to disturbances and not easy to rehabilitate. Digital change detection techniques using multi-temporal satellite imagery helps in understanding landscape dynamics. The present study assesses the spatial and temporal dynamics of vegetation cover change in the coastal wilayat of Al-Suwaiq, Sultanate of Oman using field and remote sensing data. The study was conducted at various distances from the coastline, considering the variability in soil and water salinity. Gradual decadal changes have taken place in the Western Arabian Sea over the last 50 years. These changes have affected wind speeds, atmospheric and sea surface temperature, thermohaline stratification, shoaling of the oxycline, and dust/iron inputs. A decrease in nitrate supply of the photic layer have caused an increase in annual frequency of harmful algal blooms and fish kills. Two cognitive approaches are described about how people including global organizational leaders understand, formulate and try to intervene and solve problems. The prevailing, conventional approach is based on analytic thinking, established 400 years ago. A second approach is systemic thinking which is less than 100 years old, and unlikely to be taught, learned or applied. With the rapid rate of climate change, major weather events and natural disasters are predicted to become more commonplace. An understanding of the factors to a community’s economic and social rebuilding can foster resilience against future disasters, even with a changing climate and the slow implementation of climate policy. Hurricane Katrina caused billions of dollars in damages and nearly 2,000 casualties when the storm reached New Orleans in 2005. The lessons learned from Hurricane Katrina can inform resilience efforts and identify gaps in preparedness and protection. Assisted dying and euthanasia are hotly contested end-of-life care options that present pressing dilemmas concerning patient autonomy, relief of suffering, and the misapplication of these delicate medical procedures. Access to and prohibition of these options is predicated on years of legal history, including continuous adjustment, and is actively contested in many places. Each country where at least one of these options is accessible, such as the United States, Canada, and the Netherlands, possesses largely similar restrictions and guidelines, with notable exceptions. The built environment significantly influences human well-being, particularly in the context of stress recovery and cognitive restoration. This dissertation investigates the impact of visual stimuli, particularly green walls, on human responses related to stress, restoration, and thermal comfort. The research is guided by three primary objectives: (1) examining the role of visual stimuli and their properties in promoting stress recovery and restoration, (2) evaluating the potential of Immersive Virtual Environments (IVEs) as tools for delivering and studying restorative environments, and (3) investigating the influence of green walls on indoor environmental conditions.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the planning of renewable energy (RE) power plants covering eight types: Geothermal Power Plants (PLTP), Solar Power Plants (PLTS), Wind Power Plants (PLTB), Biomass Power Plants (PLTBm), Biogas Power Plants (PLTBg), and Waste Power Plants (PLTSa).
