Because of the potential misuse of ChatGPT for coursework and student learning, marketing educators must investigate how to protect students' honesty and integrity. Additionally, it is crucial to examine whether marketing professors are modifying their pedagogy to promote learner autonomy rather than dependence on Artificial Intelligence (AI). This study addresses two central questions: How do marketing educators preserve students' honesty and integrity amidst the potential misuse of ChatGPT for coursework and learning? How are marketing professors adjusting their pedagogy to ensure learner autonomy rather than dependency on AI tools like ChatGPT? To explore these issues, semi-structured interviews were conducted with …

Review Of: Old Order Mennonite Spirituality: Analysis Of Ascetical And Mystical Parallels In Medieval Monasticism And A Contemporary Anabaptist Community—Andrew C. Martin, David Gilland, Laura Kelly, Donald Martin
Journal of Amish and Plain Anabaptist Studies
Andrew Carl Martin’s doctoral dissertation is a welcome addition to the ecclesiologically significant, yet surprisingly under-researched topic of the relationship between strands in medieval Catholicism, especially monasticism, and Anabaptism in its various manifestations. To go a step further, Martin’s research deals specifically with Benedictine spirituality as outlined by The Rule of St. Benedict and a previously underappreciated branch of its legacy as found among the Old Order Mennonites in North America. That we are dealing with an “Order” in both cases is no insignificant aspect of the argument, for Martin ably shows that, direct historical connections notwithstanding, Old Order Mennonites …
The Sociologists And The Anthropologists: Intellectual Imaginations Of Mennonite Settlements In The Paraguayan Chaco, Samuel Boucher
The Sociologists And The Anthropologists: Intellectual Imaginations Of Mennonite Settlements In The Paraguayan Chaco, Samuel Boucher
Journal of Amish and Plain Anabaptist Studies
The debates over Indigenous rights and missionary intervention in Paraguay’s Chaco were shaped not only by international declarations and local conditions but by the sociologists and anthropologists who interpreted—and contested—them. North American sociologists such as J. Winfield Fretz, Jacob Loewen, and Calvin Redekop studied the Mennonite colonies as agents of modern development, weighing the achievements and shortcomings of their mission efforts. The Paraguayan anthropologist Miguel Chase-Sardi cast those same colonists as foreign capitalists exploiting their Indigenous neighbors, drawing international scrutiny through his contribution to the 1971 Barbados Declaration and its charge of ethnocide. The ensuing clash with administrators such as …

Roger Laporte’S Biographical Effort, Domenico Cambria
Roger Laporte’S Biographical Effort, Domenico Cambria
SOROUD: The journal of Literacy Criticism
This article aims to present the work of Roger Laporte, a writer who has dedicated his life to describing the experience of writing. According to him, writing is making a link between life and the act of writing in a type of literature that he calls biography. This is not an autobiography in the traditional sense of the word where the writer mixes the daily facts of his life with their narration; on the contrary, the biography, according to Laporte, represents the writing that takes place during the life of the writer, the only fact that deserves to be told. …
Imagination, Identity And The Poetics Of Explosion In The Work Of Khair-Eddine, Mohammed Benaziz
Imagination, Identity And The Poetics Of Explosion In The Work Of Khair-Eddine, Mohammed Benaziz
SOROUD: The journal of Literacy Criticism
Abstract: In this article, we consider the question of the imaginary in literature from a poetic and anthropological perspective by trying to show the relationships between the two dimensions in the French-speaking Maghrebian text of Mohammed Khair Eddine. The notion of the imaginary sometimes intrigues, but we aim here to limit its meanings in order to channel its significance. According to Jean-Paul Sartre, the imaginary is “the projection of a mental image onto an object”. In this sense, we can understand that imagination is not reality but the relationship of an imaging consciousness to an imagined object. In the context …
Voltage Profile Enhancement In Iliceto Shield Wire Scheme For Rural Electrification: Case Study Of Chalinze-Mbwewe Transmission Line In Tanzania, Ebeneza Chaula, Ibrahim Mwammenywa, Santos Kihwele
Voltage Profile Enhancement In Iliceto Shield Wire Scheme For Rural Electrification: Case Study Of Chalinze-Mbwewe Transmission Line In Tanzania, Ebeneza Chaula, Ibrahim Mwammenywa, Santos Kihwele
Tanzania Journal of Engineering and Technology (TJET)
Rural electrification faces challenges due to significant voltage drops over long transmission distances, affecting reliability and power quality. While the Iliceto Shield Wire Scheme (ISWS) offers a modern cost-effective solution, voltage stability remains a challenge. This study analyses voltage profile enhancement within ISWS, focusing on the Chalinze-Mbwewe section of the 132 kV transmission line, using LTSpice simulations. Due to LTSpice limitations, direct solar PV integration was mimicked by introducing a secondary voltage source at each load centre, producing 33 kV to match the original source voltage. This approach maintained improved voltage profile from Msoga Village to Mbwewe over 80.9 Kilometers. …

The Impact Of Gender Sensitization On Requirements Elicitation: A Controlled Experiment, Ruthbertha Kateule, Salome Maro, Leonard Peter Binamungu
Tanzania Journal of Engineering and Technology (TJET)
Previous studies in software engineering have reported the importance of considering gender aspects in various software engineering activities, including requirements engineering, however, to the best of our knowledge, no work has investigated the impact of gender sensitisation on eliciting gender inclusive software requirements. The objective of this study was to understand the impact of gender sensitisation on software requirements elicitation. We conducted a controlled experiment using 40 undergraduate students from three different computing programs at the University of Dar es Salaam. The 40 participants were divided into 9 groups with both males and females. The participants were asked to elicit …
Load Flow And Fault Performance Evaluation Of Interconnected Minigrids In Uganda Using Digsilent Powerfactory, Prossy Mutesi, Santos Kihwele, Emmanuel Matee
Load Flow And Fault Performance Evaluation Of Interconnected Minigrids In Uganda Using Digsilent Powerfactory, Prossy Mutesi, Santos Kihwele, Emmanuel Matee
Tanzania Journal of Engineering and Technology (TJET)
The increasing demand for decentralized, reliable electricity in rural Sub-Saharan Africa has catalyzed the deployment of minigrids as an intermediate electrification strategy. This study investigates two solar photovoltaic (PV) mini-grids: Kyamugarura and Kanyegaramire, located in western Uganda, approximately 3km apart. Each mini grid initially consisted of 13 kW installed photovoltaic (PV) capacity, supplying power to households and small businesses. Due to rising demand and regular evening blackouts, both mini-grids are being upgraded to 57 kWp each. The integration of these upgraded systems into the national utility grid is proposed and simulated to evaluate performance improvements under two medium-voltage interconnection options: …
Analysis Of Influence Of Cable Clamp Slippage On Internal Force And Alignment Of Main Cable, Zhu Kun, Liao Dinghui, Hu Chengze, Shen Heshun, Cao Hongyou
Analysis Of Influence Of Cable Clamp Slippage On Internal Force And Alignment Of Main Cable, Zhu Kun, Liao Dinghui, Hu Chengze, Shen Heshun, Cao Hongyou
Journal of China & Foreign Highway
To investigate the influence of cable clamp slippage on alignment and internal force of the main cable, a theoretical analysis method based on node coordinates of the main cable after cable clamp slippage was proposed in this paper. Based on segmented catenary theory, the influence of hanger inclination caused by hanger slippage on the horizontal force of the main cable was considered. The segmental cable element of the main cable was equivalently expressed as expressions of hanger tension and unstressed length. With total unstressed length kept constant as a control condition, the horizontal force of the main cable was iteratively …

The Qualitative Report
Our qualitative case study examines the dynamics of governance in the Nglanggeran Tourism Village, Yogyakarta—a recipient of various national and international awards for sustainable tourism. Through in-depth interviews with 15 stakeholders, field observations, document analysis, and focus group discussions, we identified five key interrelated factors in governance success: (1) community participation and empowerment, (2) transformative leadership, (3) multi-stakeholder collaboration, (4) adaptive strategic planning, and (5) integrated socio-ecological resource management. Our research's significance lies in analysing how these factors interact dynamically in specific socio-cultural contexts to produce adaptive and resilient governance systems. The findings contribute to a theoretical understanding of sustainable …
From Pathology To Ecology: Rethinking Student Well-Being Through Consciousness-Centered Education, Molly Beauregard
From Pathology To Ecology: Rethinking Student Well-Being Through Consciousness-Centered Education, Molly Beauregard
Journal of Conscious Evolution
This article revisits a five-year mixed-methods study conducted from 2012 to 2018, involving 207 student participants (n = 207), of an undergraduate sociology course—Consciousness, Creativity, and Identity—that integrated group meditation and mindfulness into a standard curriculum. Earlier analyses interpreted positive outcomes primarily as reductions in stress and improvements in attention among students. This paper reconsiders that interpretation, arguing that such a framing risks locating dysfunction within students rather than the social and cultural environments they inhabit.
Drawing on an ecological perspective, the study reexamines survey, reflection, and interview data documenting changes, not only in affect and attention, …
"Does The Penis Lie?": Truth, Sexuality, And Psychocarceral Power, Erin Mcqueary
"Does The Penis Lie?": Truth, Sexuality, And Psychocarceral Power, Erin Mcqueary
USF Tampa Graduate Theses and Dissertations
This thesis critically examines the use of penile plethysmography (PPG), or phallometry, in the treatment and management of sex offenders in the late-twentieth century. Using the Florida Mental Health Institute’s 1986-1989 sex offender treatment program as a case study, it asks how phallometry came to be understood as an objective method for uncovering otherwise hidden sexual truths. Instead of focusing only on its appearance and development throughout the second half of the twentieth century, this thesis draws on the work of Michel Foucault to situate phallometric science within a broader history of sexuality and biopower. In doing so, it argues …
