Deterministic Aneutronic Fusion Via Golden Ratio Magnetic Gradient And Harmonic Resonance Stabilization, Daniel Schramm Mar 2026

Deterministic Aneutronic Fusion Via Golden Ratio Magnetic Gradient And Harmonic Resonance Stabilization, Daniel Schramm

Defensive Publications Series

Abstract: Technical Disclosure for the Malt Studio Node Build

This disclosure outlines a unified method for achieving a stable, zero-leak fusion environment by transitioning from stochastic plasma models to a Deterministic Harmonic Framework. The core of this discovery lies in the integration of Golden Ratio (\phi) magnetic geometry and a fixed 432 Hz acoustic resonance lock, which together maintain the plasma in a Noble State.

The Problem with Current Models

Standard fusion attempts (Tokamaks, Stellarators) rely on brute-force thermal pressure. This results in the "pinch factor," where magnetic fields fluctuate, leading to plasma leakage, neutron activation, and rapid hardware degradation. …

Silent Detonations: Redirecting Focus, Preserving Identity, And Leading Under The Weight Of Microaggressions, Ray Lavan Mar 2026

Silent Detonations: Redirecting Focus, Preserving Identity, And Leading Under The Weight Of Microaggressions, Ray Lavan

Tapestry: Journal of Research in Education

African American educational leaders consistently navigate racial microaggressions that challenge their focus, identity, and well-being. This study explores how these leaders deploy attention to manage the emotional weight of microaggressions in K-12 public school settings. Using Gross’s emotion regulation theory and Sue’s taxonomy of racial microaggressions, this qualitative phenomenological study examines how attentional deployment serves as both a shield and constraint. Data from the African American leaders reveal that silence, background processing, selective focus, and redirection to professional goals are common strategies to sustain composure. These strategies protect leaders in the moment but create emotional strain, identity conflict, and cumulative …

Fierce Leadership-Perspectives Of Black Women Educational Leaders: A Transcendental Phenomenological Study, Janice Taylor, Dianne Reed Mar 2026

Fierce Leadership-Perspectives Of Black Women Educational Leaders: A Transcendental Phenomenological Study, Janice Taylor, Dianne Reed

Tapestry: Journal of Research in Education

The authors of this transcendental phenomenological study aimed to describe the lived experiences of Black women based on their perceptions, values, and beliefs about the complexities of leadership and the kind of leadership required to succeed in their respective roles, as educational leaders. This study was framed by the adaptive leadership theory. Adaptive leadership recognizes the need for leaders to stay flexible and resilient in fast-paced environments (Nelson & Squires, 2017). The three Black women leaders in this study were fierce adaptive leaders. The information acquired from this study is significant and highlights how Black women educational leaders developed the …

Being-Their-Ship: A Presence-Based Model Of Human-Centered Leadership, Ricky J. Martinez Mar 2026

Being-Their-Ship: A Presence-Based Model Of Human-Centered Leadership, Ricky J. Martinez

Tapestry: Journal of Research in Education

Being-Their-Ship describes a presence-based approach to leadership grounded in lived experience rather than positional status. Developed over years of service in rural education, the framework highlights leadership as a relational practice grounded in steadiness, quiet support, and a willingness to take responsibility for others. Drawing from autoethnography and narrative inquiry, the framework articulates four interconnected dimensions: Caring-Ship, Loving-Ship, Load-Ship, and Being-There-Ship, that define leadership not through authority but through consistent action and cultural trust. Each dimension reflects how leadership emerges when individuals become a stabilizing presence, absorb burdens that others would otherwise carry, and remain committed to a community through …

Influence Of Gender-Specific Data Imbalance On Scgpt Fine-Tuning For Single-Cell Genomics, Mohammad Aman Ullah Al Amin, Daniil Filienko, Hong Qin Mar 2026

Influence Of Gender-Specific Data Imbalance On Scgpt Fine-Tuning For Single-Cell Genomics, Mohammad Aman Ullah Al Amin, Daniil Filienko, Hong Qin

Knowledge and Creativity Expo

The transformer-based foundation model scGPT has demonstrated strong capabilities in analyzing high-dimensional single-cell RNA sequencing data. However, the impact of demographic factors, particularly gender, on model performance remains insufficiently understood. Gender is known to influence cell-type compositions in the immune system. Here, using the gender-sensitive cell-type composition in immune system, we comprehensively evaluated how the gender-sensitive imbalance of training data influences the performance of scGPT in cell-type predictions. We fine-tuned scGPT on male-only, female-only, and mixed-gender subsets from two large-scale datasets containing immune cells. We used a logit difference to measure the confidence gap between the true label and the …

Coda: On My Six Experiments In Conjoining (And Contrasting) Two Composers, James Porter Mar 2026

Coda: On My Six Experiments In Conjoining (And Contrasting) Two Composers, James Porter

Music & Musical Performance: An International Journal

The author has previously published six essays, each based on a novel technique: pairing one piece each from two different composers, in an attempt at teasing out important implications of these (mostly little-known) works. These implications would have been harder to glean if one focused instead, as is normally done, on a small number of oft-performed canonical works by a few great masters.

The present “Coda” offers reflections on the implications of those six essays for a continuing exploration of important themes in the history of Western art music, including romanticism, modernism, “progress,” tonality, text-music relations, and nationalism (including the …

Bach And Mozart And Space And Time, Robert L. Marshall Mar 2026

Bach And Mozart And Space And Time, Robert L. Marshall

Music & Musical Performance: An International Journal

Karol Berger’s influential study, Bach’s Cycle, Mozart’s Arrow, argues that

“what matters to Bach . . . is not the linear flow of time from past to future . . . Rather, time is made to follow a circular route or neutralized. . . . Mozart and his contemporaries “straighten[ed] the temporal cycle into an arrow.”

The present essay suggests that, in considering the music of Bach and Mozart we are not dealing with two different concepts of time but rather with two different analogies: one with space, the other with time. It argues that, for Bach, the spatial metaphor …

What Do Preservice Teachers Know About The Scoring And Interpretation Of A Reading Fluency Assessment?, Miranda L. Sigmon, Jeremy Lopuch Mar 2026

What Do Preservice Teachers Know About The Scoring And Interpretation Of A Reading Fluency Assessment?, Miranda L. Sigmon, Jeremy Lopuch

Teacher Education Journal of South Carolina

Literacy instruction is a crucial topic in preparing future educators. Literacy skills are a continued concern as reported by the nation's proficiency scores (NAEP, 2024). Teacher preparation regarding effective literacy instruction should involve literacy assessment, including the purpose, administering, scoring, and interpretation of assessment data. This study addressed the following question: what is preservice teachers' knowledge, accuracy in scoring, and analysis of results for a reading fluency assessment? Participants learned about oral reading fluency (ORF) assessment, practiced administering and scoring, and noted strengths and weaknesses of assessment data from a recorded second-grade assessment. Results show understanding of the assessment tool …

Pre-Service Teacher Perceptions, Katie Swart Mar 2026

Pre-Service Teacher Perceptions, Katie Swart

Teacher Education Journal of South Carolina

Several studies over the past five decades have shown that when families are involved in their child's education, it improves academic achievement (Barger et al., 2019). Beyond academic achievement, family and community engagement is also associated with better behavior, increased attendance and graduation rates, social skills, and mental health (Hiatt-Michael, 2001). Educator preparation programs (EPPs) can play a vital role in shaping pre-service teachers' knowledge, attitudes, beliefs, and values (Darling-Hammond & Baratz-Snowden, 2007). Moreover, researchers claim that teachers' beliefs are among the most important predictors of their classroom behaviors and practices (Buchanan et al, 1998; Vartuli, 1999). As such, pre-service …

Lessons Learned From Field Experiences Of Special Education Preservice Teachers During A Pandemic, Rhonda D. Miller, Meaghan S. Avery, Nicole Uphold, Jamia Thomas-Richmond Mar 2026

Lessons Learned From Field Experiences Of Special Education Preservice Teachers During A Pandemic, Rhonda D. Miller, Meaghan S. Avery, Nicole Uphold, Jamia Thomas-Richmond

Teacher Education Journal of South Carolina

Field experiences provide opportunities for preservice teachers to apply instructional procedures and theories in authentic classroom settings (Leko & Brownell, 2011). The ever-changing landscape of public school classrooms makes teacher preparation a challenge. In this study, ten participants, special education preservice teachers (PSTs) in the semester before student teaching, recorded their experiences from their field experiences during a pandemic. We explored the types of activities that PSTs engaged in, the challenges that they faced, and lessons that were learned as a result of the experience. Results showed a reduced number of hours in the field, challenges with instructional practices and …

Ideas And Activities For Strengthening Multilingual Learners' Academic Vocabulary, Jennifer Altieri Mar 2026

Ideas And Activities For Strengthening Multilingual Learners' Academic Vocabulary, Jennifer Altieri

Teacher Education Journal of South Carolina

Research suggests that while the number of multilingual students in schools is growing, there continues to be an achievement gap. Often, the difficulty is related to reading comprehension and, more specifically, vocabulary. Given the fact that academic language takes longer to develop than social language skills, it is important that multilingual learners receive additional support related to developing academic language. Content-specific vocabulary development plays a key role in academic language. This article discusses the types of vocabulary terms that are important to teach, suggestions for ways to create a classroom environment conducive to developing the terms, and specific activities which …

Pre-Service Teachers’ Academic Success: Paying Attention To The Importance Of Basic Literacy Skills For Future Teachers, Nan Li, Jada Williams Mar 2026

Pre-Service Teachers’ Academic Success: Paying Attention To The Importance Of Basic Literacy Skills For Future Teachers, Nan Li, Jada Williams

Teacher Education Journal of South Carolina

The A-Nation-at-Risk report in 1983 shocked the nation. This report was an open letter to the American public. "America as a nation is at risk and that our once unchallenged preeminence in commerce, industry, science, and technological innovation is being overtaken by competitors throughout the world" (Park, 2022, p. 9). An important reason was that American students lagged behind the P-12 students of other nations in the third international literacy competition. The U.S students were ranked lower than 40 other nations.

Cooperating Teacher Interjection In Student Teacher Lecture: The Purpose Of Interruption, Suzanne Horn, Kristal Curry Mar 2026

Cooperating Teacher Interjection In Student Teacher Lecture: The Purpose Of Interruption, Suzanne Horn, Kristal Curry

Teacher Education Journal of South Carolina

Using lecture is a standard method of teaching that offers students information the teacher would like the whole class to know. In this study, the researchers examined student teachers' lecture transcripts and identified when and why cooperating teachers inserted themselves into their lessons. The researchers used Post's (2007) work as the conceptual framework to analyze insertions by the cooperating teacher. This topic was investigated by the researchers who are faculty in the teacher education department after several student teachers reported that cooperating teachers were inserting themselves into the lessons they were teaching. As teacher educators, we wanted to explore how …

Proficiency And Pedagogy: Preparing Preservice Teachers Of Early Literacy By Uncovering Knowledge Gaps While Developing Effective Teacher Practices, Miranda Sigmon Mar 2026

Proficiency And Pedagogy: Preparing Preservice Teachers Of Early Literacy By Uncovering Knowledge Gaps While Developing Effective Teacher Practices, Miranda Sigmon

Teacher Education Journal of South Carolina

There is a push within literacy education for strengthening explicit phonics instruction. State- level training and legislation have been implemented to provide teachers with professional development to deepen their understanding of phonics and expand effective instructional practices for explicit phonics instruction. This same training is needed within university programs training pre-service teachers. Within the early literacy methods course, undergraduate teaching majors learn about phonics skills as one component of effective literacy instruction. Pre-assessment data collected on phonics skills provided insight for teaching needs. After teaching lessons on phonics skills and explicit phonics instruction for multiple weeks, students were assessed on …

Creating A Teacher Preparation Diversity, Equity, And Inclusion Course: Three Assessments For Effective Instruction., Mary-Celeste Schreuder, Lauren Adams

Teacher Education Journal of South Carolina

In January of 2022, I (Mary-Celeste) walked into the first meeting of EDUC 210: Communication in Diverse Classrooms, a required course for education majors. I asked the 30 students to complete a Google survey with questions related to their own identities and beliefs about teaching for diversity. A hush fell over the class as each student worked through the survey. After a few minutes, one young woman raised her hand to ask me a question. She was confused about the survey question asking how she identified her sexuality – offered answers included heterosexual, gay, lesbian, pansexual, etc. She pointed to …

The Influence Of Induction Programs On Novice Teacher Retention, Kate Colwell, Timothy R. Nelson Mar 2026

The Influence Of Induction Programs On Novice Teacher Retention, Kate Colwell, Timothy R. Nelson

Teacher Education Journal of South Carolina

Teacher attrition is growing in the United States and in South Carolina, creating an alarming teacher shortage problem (CERRA, 2019). Thirty-six percent of South Carolina teachers who left their positions after the 2018-19 school year taught for five years or less (CERRA, 2019). Induction programs focusing on the best practices of induction and on building self-efficacy may be able to stop the flow of novice teachers leaving the profession and combat the growing teacher shortage in the nation and South Carolina. This quantitative study sought to identify which facets of an upstate South Carolina district's induction program are successfully supportive …
