The Materiality Of Religious Syncretism And Co-Production In The Catacombs Of Sicily And Malta: Novel Techniques For The Interpretation And Dissemination Of Legacy Data, Madeleine A. Kraft Apr 2026

The Materiality Of Religious Syncretism And Co-Production In The Catacombs Of Sicily And Malta: Novel Techniques For The Interpretation And Dissemination Of Legacy Data, Madeleine A. Kraft

USF Tampa Graduate Theses and Dissertations

This dissertation addresses the lengthy history of the investigations into the catacombs of Sicily and Malta. These investigations, in some cases, began as early as the 17th century. They have maintained the intrigue of archaeologists beginning in the late 19th century. In doing so, these spaces have amassed truly remarkable amounts of data and of interpretations of that data. This legacy data has proved simultaneously a barrier and an entrance to understanding these complexes. While they are valuable for descriptions of the spaces prior to mutilations and interventions as well as descriptions of evidence no longer extant due to a …

Considerations For Cherenkov Radiation Imaging In External Beam Radiotherapy For Diverse Populations In A High Throughput Cancer Clinic, Diego A. Hernandez Apr 2026

Considerations For Cherenkov Radiation Imaging In External Beam Radiotherapy For Diverse Populations In A High Throughput Cancer Clinic, Diego A. Hernandez

USF Tampa Graduate Theses and Dissertations

Cherenkov radiation imaging is a burgeoning field of optical imaging that has become a promising, non-invasive, technique that allows the visualization of radiation delivery during external beam radiotherapy. This form of imaging has opened the door to real-time and retrospective treatment verification and sparked a plethora of research aimed at improving the utility. This dissertation investigates possible clinical implementations and limitations of Cherenkov radiation imaging within a high-throughput cancer clinic serving a diverse patient population. The central motivation is the need to advance Cherenkov radiation imaging as a reliable tool for clinical use by improving its quantitative accuracy and applicability …

Cerebellar Oligodendrocytic Α-Synuclein Pathology And Dentate Nucleus Neuronal Hypertrophy In Parkinson’S Disease, Diego Iacono, Hui Peng, John Paul Bouffard, Roger Kurlan Apr 2026

Cerebellar Oligodendrocytic Α-Synuclein Pathology And Dentate Nucleus Neuronal Hypertrophy In Parkinson’S Disease, Diego Iacono, Hui Peng, John Paul Bouffard, Roger Kurlan

Department of Neurology Faculty Papers

Idiopathic Parkinson's disease (iPD) research has historically prioritized basal ganglia dysfunction and neuronal Lewy body pathology, often overlooking cerebellar and non-neuronal cells contributions. This study investigates cerebellar neuropathology in iPD, specifically focusing on neuronal and non-neuronal cells of the dentate nucleus (DN) and its adjacent white matter (DN-WM). We systematically assessed autopsy-confirmed iPD brains vs. age-matched controls using immunohistochemistry and stereology-based morphometry methods. The study evaluated α-synuclein pathology, other common age-related co-occurring pathologies (β-amyloid, Tau, neuroinflammation), myelin integrity (Luxol-Fast-Blue), and neuronal volumetric changes in the DN of the cerebellum. In iPD brains, we identified intracytoplasmic α-synuclein inclusions within oligodendrocytes across …

Implementation Of Hybrid Learning Adopting Multisensory Approach In English Classroom For Dyslexic Students, Sri Ekawati Anwar, Harwintha Yuhasanti Anjarningsih

Jurnal Pendidikan Humaniora

This study investigates the implementation of hybrid learning adopting a multisensory approach in an English classroom with dyslexic students. The participants involved in this study were dyslexic English learners and their English teachers. The participants were selected using a purposive technique and used qualitative methods. Data was collected using semi-structured interviews of five dyslexic English learners and four English teachers. The research findings revealed that most teachers and dyslexic learners prefer offline learning to online learning. As for taking English exams, the participants' perspectives were divided. However, most of them showed similar opinions on how to submit English assignments online. …

The Design Of Chatbot Learning Media For Arabic Vocabulary Learning For 7th Grade Students At Mtsn, Rizki Alifia Putri, Alif Cahya Setiyadi

Jurnal Pendidikan: Teori, Penelitian, dan Pengembangan

Arabic language learning at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTsN) level often faces challenges such as limited curriculum time allocation and the dominance of conventional teacher-centered methods. This research aims to produce a design for chatbot-based learning media using the Smojo.Ai platform, focusing on vocabulary (mufradat) mastery for 7th-grade students. The approach used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation); however, this report is limited to the Design and Development (expert validation) stages. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, documentation studies, and validation questionnaires. The results indicate that the characteristics of the "Mufrodaty" chatbot integrate …

This was a quasi- experimental study. There were two classess used to be experimental group and control group. The data were obtained …

Approach To Physics Education Using Local Ai With Rag For Open Educational Materials Generation, Dmitriy Beznosko Apr 2026

Approach To Physics Education Using Local Ai With Rag For Open Educational Materials Generation, Dmitriy Beznosko

All Things Open

The new tool that starts to enter all parts of our life is AI – and it enters education as well. There are two standing large concerns with using AI for education – the safety of students’ data and the AI missing specific knowledge about the given class. The approach of using the Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) provides the user data to the locally run LLM model (using Ollama framework, a free and open-source tool that allows you to run large language models locally on your system) as a context for the generation of the OER materials. As this AI …

Uniting To Strengthen Reading Instruction Through Mixed-Reality Simulations, Todd Whitney, Kera B. Ackerman Apr 2026

Uniting To Strengthen Reading Instruction Through Mixed-Reality Simulations, Todd Whitney, Kera B. Ackerman

Kentucky Teacher Education Journal: The Journal of the Teacher Education Division of the Kentucky Council for Exceptional Children

Improving literacy outcomes in Kentucky requires professional learning models that effectively bridge the gap between research and classroom practice. The partnership between the Kentucky Reading Research Center (KYRRC) and the University of Kentucky SimLab (UK SimLab) represents an innovative approach to building teacher capacity through mixed-reality simulations aligned with statewide literacy initiatives. Grounded in evidence-based instructional practices, the partnership integrates professional learning and opportunities for deliberate practice in core literacy areas, including phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Mixed-reality simulations provide educators with structured, low-risk environments to rehearse instructional routines, receive feedback, and refine their teaching, addressing well-documented challenges …

Exploring “Isms” In Teacher Preparation: What Are The Views Of Teacher Candidates?, Michelle A. Gremp

Kentucky Teacher Education Journal: The Journal of the Teacher Education Division of the Kentucky Council for Exceptional Children

Teacher preparation programs are charged with preparing educators who understand biases and work toward fostering inclusivity in their classrooms. This study explores the knowledge and perceptions of teacher candidates in an education of the deaf and hard of hearing program related to ableism, audism, and inclusivity. and suggest next steps for developing competencies in these areas. Teacher candidates indicated varying levels of familiarity, views of impact, and the ability to provide accurate definitions of these terms, indicating the need for explicit and scaffolded exposure to the ideas of ableism, audism, and inclusivity across multiple courses within teacher preparation programs.
