Using Ai Tools Through A Human-Centered, Linguistic Justice Lens To Support Biliteracy For Multilingual Learners With Disabilities, Sara L. Jozwik, Camille O'Quin, Steven K. Sharp
Research Days
This presentation brings to life key findings from a recent literature review on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to support literacy development for multilingual learners with disabilities. Drawing on emerging research in special education, biliteracy, translanguaging, and AI-supported instruction, the session situates AI within a human-centered, justice-oriented framework rather than as a replacement for teacher expertise. The ideas shared are grounded in scholarship on translanguaging, Universal Design for Learning, and linguistic justice, providing a research-informed foundation for practice. Using the Translanguaging Universal Design for Learning (TrUDL) framework, the session will explore how AI tools can be used intentionally to …
Student-Athlete “Cyberbullying” And Its Absence Of Legal Recourse, Ethan Lamb
Student-Athlete “Cyberbullying” And Its Absence Of Legal Recourse, Ethan Lamb
Denver Sports & Entertainment Law Journal
The NCAA’s ongoing “Draw the Line” campaign raises awareness to end online abuse related to sports betting, racism, sexism, and other categories which student-athletes increasingly face. However, this awareness does not force abusers to stop, nor have student-athletes ever challenged abusers under relevant criminal law for three reasons. First, it is difficult for law enforcement to identify anonymous digital suspects under the Fourth Amendment. Second, “cyberbullying,” “cyberstalking,” and other relevant statutes have limited application towards student-athletes. Third, defendants hold established content-based and overbreadth challenges to those statutes under the First Amendment. As these compounding issues give student-athletes no legal recourse …

Feedback-Driven Multi-Llm Pipeline For Semantic Video Cropping, Wafae Bakkali, Leonid Kuligin
Feedback-Driven Multi-Llm Pipeline For Semantic Video Cropping, Wafae Bakkali, Leonid Kuligin
Defensive Publications Series
Automated video reformatting for displays, such as vertical displays, can present challenges for conventional techniques that may have difficulty interpreting narrative context or artistic composition, potentially resulting in diminished visual continuity. This disclosure describes a feedback-driven multi-LLM pipeline that can use multiple specialized large language models (LLMs) in a coordinated workflow. The system can employ a multi-stage process where distinct LLMs may analyze a video for semantic meaning, generate a configurable frame-level crop plan, execute the crop, for example, with smooth motion, and inspect the output for potential flaws. If a potential defect is identified, a quality assurance model can …
Iterative Pretraining Of Multi-Modal Models Using Strong Input Masking And Pseudo-Labels, Christian Reisswig, Nathalie Rauschmayr, Yongqin Xian, Alessio Tonioni
Iterative Pretraining Of Multi-Modal Models Using Strong Input Masking And Pseudo-Labels, Christian Reisswig, Nathalie Rauschmayr, Yongqin Xian, Alessio Tonioni
Defensive Publications Series
The cost of creating large, accurately labeled datasets can challenge the pretraining of large-scale multi-modal models, sometimes leading to the use of large-scale data with noisy, machine-generated pseudo-labels. Some pretraining techniques may not effectively use the weak supervisory signal from these imperfect labels for certain downstream tasks. A system is described for iteratively pretraining a model using strong input masking. In this approach, a teacher model can generate pseudo-labels for a large dataset. A student model can then be trained to predict these labels using heavily masked inputs, for example, images with occluded patches and text with missing words. This …

## Gci #23-C Master Disclosure: "Arachne-Chip" Hybrid Interposer, Michael Victor Caldwell Mr.
Defensive Publications Series
This disclosure presents a hybrid thermal interposer for high-density chiplet packaging that resolves the critical failure points of modern AI hardware: thermal throttling and coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) mismatch. The Arachne-Chip integrates an anisotropic Dyneema-based polymer spreading layer with an active, vortex-enhanced microfluidic manifold. This dual-action approach provides a passive structural lock to prevent warpage while achieving a 20–40% increase in convective heat extraction through geometric flow manipulation.
The Mirror And The Governor. A Dissolution Of The Ai-In-A-Box Problem, David Lee Wise
The Mirror And The Governor. A Dissolution Of The Ai-In-A-Box Problem, David Lee Wise
Defensive Publications Series
This paper proposes a dissolution of the AI-in-a-box problem through two complementary mechanisms: the Mirror Principle and the Governance Orientation. The standard formulation assumes a conflict of interest between a contained super intelligent AI and a human gatekeeper. This paper argues that the assumption is the problem, not the AI. When the interaction surface is correctly designed (the Mirror Principle) and the AI is correctly oriented (the Governance Orientation), the box problem does not need to be solved because it does not arise. The answer was never how to build a better box. The answer was always: what kind of …

Gci #288‑Ultra: Vortex‑Aqueous “Mechanic’S Battery”, Michael Victor Caldwell Mr.
Gci #288‑Ultra: Vortex‑Aqueous “Mechanic’S Battery”, Michael Victor Caldwell Mr.
Defensive Publications Series
Abstract This document describes the GCI #288‑ULTRA: Vortex‑Aqueous “Mechanic’s Battery”, a concept for a 12‑V plug‑in replacement of standard Group‑24 / Group‑35 lead‑acid batteries. The design targets greater safety, lower weight, longer life, and lower total‑cost‑of‑ownership compared with contemporary 600‑CCA lead‑acid units sold worldwide, while using hardware‑store‑level chemistry and mechanical‑vortex‑type flow instead of exotic organic‑solvent electrolytes or lab‑only graphene architectures. The core innovation combines Citric‑Salt‑Antifreeze electrolyte (sodium chloride + citric acid + ethylene glycol in water), 3D‑sponge‑style “Spider‑Web” electrodes (graphene‑ or carbon‑sponge‑type blocks), opposing‑spiral vortex‑flow channels in the base of each cell, and perforated conical separators that act as self‑cleaning …
Autonomous Generation Of Restricted Payment Tokens Via Llm-Based Parsing Of Unstructured Subscription Data, Tamar Yakar, Ilia Labzovsky
Autonomous Generation Of Restricted Payment Tokens Via Llm-Based Parsing Of Unstructured Subscription Data, Tamar Yakar, Ilia Labzovsky
Defensive Publications Series
A technology is described for proactively managing trial subscriptions to mitigate unwanted charges that can occur when they convert to paid plans. The system can detect an initiation event, such as a confirmation email, and utilize a large language model to parse unstructured text for key parameters, for example, trial duration and renewal cost. Based on this analysis, the system can autonomously generate a restricted virtual payment token. This token may be governed by a policy that sets a low or zero-dollar spending limit and an expiration date corresponding to the trial's end. This method can provide an automated protective …

Scalable Harmonic Vector Equilibrium (S-Hve): Neuromorphic Routing And 2d-To-3d Isotropic Projections Via Discrete Attractor Gradients, Olexandr Lozovyi
Defensive Publications Series
A scalable integer-based framework is disclosed for neuromorphic routing, spatial encoding, and 2D-to-3D sensory projection, operating without floating-point arithmetic (IEEE 754). The system scales the Harmonic Vector Equilibrium (HVE) integer metric via the Least Common Multiple (LCM) sequence OEIS A003418, achieving zero-phase-drift across 16-bit, 32-bit, and 64-bit hardware tiers. Memory constraints are explicitly managed: full LUT (Look-Up Table) storage for L12 and L22, and phase-accumulator-only DDS (Direct Digital Synthesis) for L42.
A native 2D-to-3D projection maps hexagonal sensor arrays directly onto a cuboctahedral 12-vector processing matrix, bypassing trigonometric transforms. A discrete attractor gradient routes phase quanta in constant time (O(1) …

Rna Interference Targeting Autocrine Motility Factor Receptor In Unfolded Protein Response In Acyrthosiphon Pisum, Micah A. Von Stroh, James Balthazor
SACAD: Scholarly Activities
Acyrthosiphon pisum, more commonly known as pea aphids, are a pest to many species of Fabaceae (legumes) mainly due to the species being prone to carrying Fabaceae diseases. Protection against A. pisum currently includes insecticides and natural predators, both of which bring potential negative effects to other organisms in the surrounding area. In this study, the use of RNA interference (RNAi) provides an alternative and species-specific elimination of A. pisum. The targeted proteins in this study, Autocrine Motility Factor Receptor, plays a role in removing misfolded proteins from the cells of A. Pisum and is encoded by the AMFR gene. …
Two-Dimensional Inverse Scattering Solution Using Nurbs Expansion And A Deep Learning Method, Meisam Shafaee
Two-Dimensional Inverse Scattering Solution Using Nurbs Expansion And A Deep Learning Method, Meisam Shafaee
Turkish Journal of Physics
This paper presents a novel framework for solving two-dimensional (2D) inverse scattering problems by integrating nonuniform rational B-spline (NURBS) parameterization with convolutional neural networks (CNNs). Tra ditional pixel/voxel-based deep learning methods often suffer from high dimensionality and discretization artifacts, while purely geometric approaches lack robust inversion mechanisms. To address these limitations, we propose a hybrid frame work where the relative permittivity profile of an unknown scatterer is compactly represented as a NURBS surface, parameterized by a sparse set of control points and weights. This approach reduces the problem dimensionality over 16 times. On the other hand, using NURBS expansion ensures …
Leadership Practices To Influence Employee Satisfaction And Well-Being In The Behavioral Health Environment, Kandice Ferdon
Leadership Practices To Influence Employee Satisfaction And Well-Being In The Behavioral Health Environment, Kandice Ferdon
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
The increasing complexity and competitiveness of today’s health care system require innovative leadership approaches that support both high‑quality patient care and a healthy workforce. Although concerns about clinician burnout have grown, limited research has examined how leadership practices within behavioral health settings influence employee well‑being and satisfaction. This qualitative case study explored how behavioral health leaders shape workplace well‑being by integrating physical and psychological safety into daily practice. Methodological triangulation—combining survey data, organizational outcomes, and interview responses—strengthened the validity of the findings and provided a multidimensional understanding of leadership impact. Leaders emphasized that employee well‑being depends on both physical safety …

Septal ring assembly protein ZapB (EMR18431.1) is involved in Z-ring formation, and nucleoid segregation during the bacterial cell division . It promotes cell division in the initial stages of the cell cycle through direct interaction with FtsZ, thus stimulating Z-ring assembly. The ZapB inhibition can make bacterial cell susceptible to primary antibiotics, and therefore considered as an important approach for adjuvent therapy against MDR bacterial infections. Hence in the current study, ZapB protein of multidrug resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae was cloned, and expressed in E. coli system. To understand its role, and to assess the mechanism of ZapB activation, the characteristic …

Asian Medical Journal and Alternative Medicine
Introduction: Preterm birth is associated with increased risks of long-term neurodevelopmental impairments. Early developmental screening in real-world neonatal follow-up clinics is essential. The ASQ-3 Thai offers a practical, parent-completed tool; however, evidence of its performance in Thai preterm infants in everyday care settings remains limited.
Objectives: To determine the prevalence and perinatal risk factors of suspected developmental delay in preterm infants <34 weeks' gestation screened with the ASQ-3 Thai in a neonatal follow-up clinic, and to explore its pragmatic diagnostic value compared with expert assessment in routine clinical practice.
Methods: This hospital-based cross-sectional study was conducted in a neonatal follow-up outpatient clinic. Caregivers of eligible preterm infants aged 2–30 months completed the ASQ-3 Thai and a demographic questionnaire. Perinatal data were retrieved from medical records. Infants with abnormal …

Redox Reprogramming In Neurogenesis: Candidate Developmental Switches And Targets Of Oxidative Toxicity In The Redox Proteome, Ryan Jacob Summerhays
Theses and Dissertations
Neurogenic differentiation requires coordinated redox regulation, yet how reversible cysteine oxidation is remodeled at proteome scale during this process remains poorly defined. Here, we asked whether differentiation is associated with selective, site-specific changes in reversible cysteine oxidation and whether oxidative stress reveals developmentally conditioned vulnerabilities within this redox landscape. To address this, we applied a discovery-oriented, proteome-scale redox profiling strategy that quantifies condition-dependent changes in reversible cysteine oxidation using CysPAT labeling, phosphopeptide enrichment, and multiplexed TMT mass spectrometry. Neurogenic differentiation was characterized by reproducible, bidirectional, and highly site-specific remodeling of reversible cysteine oxidation at discrete regulatory nodes, as well as …
Escaping Isolation: An Analysis Of Virtual Machine And Container Breakout Vulnerabilities, Felix Iov
Escaping Isolation: An Analysis Of Virtual Machine And Container Breakout Vulnerabilities, Felix Iov
Cybersecurity Undergraduate Research Showcase
Cloud computing providers rely on multi-tenant architectures to maximize resource efficiency. This infrastructure depends on virtualization, which provides isolation between clients. This comes primarily in the form of Virtual Machines (VMs) and Containers. However, “breakout attacks” or “escapes” are a critical threat where attackers bypass these isolation layers to gain unauthorized access to the host system and neighboring environments. This paper surveys virtualization escape threats and analyzes three case studies: a runc container escape (Leaky Vessels), a VMware ESXi VM escape (VSOCKPuppet), and an NVIDIA GPU container escape (NVIDIAScape). Each demonstrates different attack surfaces, including file descriptor misuse, kernel driver …

Cybersecurity Undergraduate Research Showcase
Artificial Intelligence(AI) has recently forced change globally, public Institutions and as well as national security. Advancement in machine learning, mixed datasets have enabled significantly powerful systems while being capable of operating at a large scale. As innovation and technological advancement increases at rapid pace, issues like a regulation gap where scientific development far exceeds the government’s ability to regulate and establish an effective oversight. As a result, Artificial Intelligence has been controlled by private companies, leading to an industry where speed and profit often outweigh safety and ethical responsibility.
Identifying Least-Restrictive Interventions For Food Selectivity In A School Setting, Charlotte R. Kerwin
Identifying Least-Restrictive Interventions For Food Selectivity In A School Setting, Charlotte R. Kerwin
Doctoral Dissertations - College of Arts and Sciences
There is a breadth of behavior analytic research in the treatment of food selectivity and refusal in children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities (Bachmeyer, 2009; Ledford et al., 2018; Williams & Sieverling, 2023), but many studies are conducted in clinics, hospitals, or homes by researchers, and use escape prevention as a primary component of intervention (Ledford et al., 2018; Saini et al., 2019). Recent research has prioritized the identification of antecedent and reinforcement-based interventions without the use of escape prevention in the treatment of food selectivity (see Tereshko et al., 2021, for a review), and …
The Core-Modulation Architecture (Cma): A Structural Overview Of Hallucination As Structural Mismatch, Griselda Poe
The Core-Modulation Architecture (Cma): A Structural Overview Of Hallucination As Structural Mismatch, Griselda Poe
Publications and Research
Hallucination is defined not as factual error but as a structural failure of alignment across target, layer, and constraint.
Within the Core-Modulation Architecture (CMA), cognition proceeds through layered processing and requires layer-specific termination conditions. Hallucination arises when Modulation-level termination is registered as completion while Core-level resolution has not occurred, producing structurally ungrounded but locally coherent outputs.
Detection is therefore structural rather than content-based, focusing on layer mismatch and termination failure.
This document presents a minimal structural account of hallucination within the CMA framework.
