Binucleation And Seasonal Cycle Of Sertoli Cells In The Western Lesser Siren, Siren Nettingi (Caudata: Sirenidae), S. E. Trauth
Journal of the Arkansas Academy of Science
I examined binucleation and the seasonal cycle of Sertoli cells in the Western Siren (Siren nettingi) using light microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. My primary objective in this study was to report, for the first time, the presence of double nuclei in Sertoli cells in a salamander. This study also represents the sixth contribution in a series of investigations that highlight the novel nature of all aspects of spermatogenesis in this unique salamander. My findings add to a growing list of extraordinary morphological and reproductive features that distinguish this salamander from all other vertebrates.

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission tracks American black bears (Ursus americanus) using Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite telemetry collars in southeastern Arkansas to assess habitat use and behaviors. Companies test the accuracy of their devices, but researchers have found that natural environments, such as the forested habitat of black bears, can cause an increase in spatial error rates. We therefore tested 1 GPS collar in realistic conditions to help refine data interpretation. We placed the collar at 20 random locations in Columbia County, AR, stratifying habitat type based on data collected from black bears. We determined the …

A Scoping Review Of Sycophancy In Large Language Models: Operational And Theoretical Recognition, Kallen Zhou, Manning Littlejohn, Isabella Garrard
Endeavors: Mississippi State Undergraduate Research Journal
As large language models (LLMs) usage grows across different domains, sycophancy, the tendency for output to align with users, is increasingly being recognized as a primary issue arising from applying LLMs into critical areas. Current research has provided a variety of theoretical definitions, mitigation techniques, and quantification for sycophancy. However, there is little to no consistency across different papers. This scoping review seeks to connect different works on LLM sycophancy by identifying themes in theoretical definitions, measurement methods, and inducement techniques of sycophancy. By analyzing 26 papers (preprints, conference proceedings, and journal articles) from arXiv, ACL Anthology, and Scopus, this …

Teaching/Writing: The Journal of Writing Teacher Education
This qualitative case study examines Writing Zones, a fifteen-year university–high school partnership that embeds preservice English teachers in secondary classrooms as writing mentors. Drawing on surveys from 20 preservice teachers and eight high school teachers, along with follow-up interviews, the study explores perceptions of preparation, support, and program impact. Findings highlight Writing Zones as a mutually beneficial model that enhances student writing through individualized support while providing authentic, field-based learning for preservice teachers. However, effectiveness was conditional, shaped by mentor preparedness, clarity of roles, communication, and scheduling. The study underscores the importance of intentional training, sustained relationships, and institutional alignment …

Dismantling Future Writing Teachers’ English-Only Assumptions: Composing Videos To Learn The Value Of Linguistic And Cultural Inclusion, Ann N. Amicucci
Teaching/Writing: The Journal of Writing Teacher Education
This article presents the results of a study of 12 students’ video composing assignments and accompanying reflections in which students, all of whom were future writing teachers enrolled in an undergraduate TESOL course, examined how well public spaces acknowledged and included multilingual individuals. Students’ videos and reflections demonstrated that the assignment dismantled these future writing teachers’ assumptions that multilingual writers learn best in an English-only environment but perpetuated perceptions of languages as discrete rather than intertwined. Findings are discussed within the context of scholarship on writing teacher education and English-only policy and practice in the U.S.

B1) The Implementation Of Digital Tools In The Interpretation Of Heritage From A Cultural And Pastoral Perspective, Silvia Aulet, Anna Gili Vilanova-Prat
International Religious Tourism and Pilgrimage Conferences
The digitisation of cultural languages supposes new challenges and opportunities in the interpretation of religious heritage. From a theoretical perspective, sacred sites can be understood as symbolic realities where material and immaterial dimensions converge. Sacred places are not only architectural containers, but spaces of meaning that articulate identity, memory and transcendence (Aulet & Vidal, 2018).
The preservation of the meaning, identity and original function of sacred spaces in contexts of high tourist accessibility (Aulet & Duda, 2020). Technology, far from being a merely instrumental element, can act as a symbolic mediation that reinforces this sustainability if it contributes to improving …

B3) Ai-Enabled Religious Pilgrimage: A Human Centred Sacred Framework For Authenticity And Responsible Transformation, Parichay Parivesh, Razaq Gili Raj
International Religious Tourism and Pilgrimage Conferences
This paper examines how artificial intelligence is reshaping pilgrimage tourism in India by mediating the practical, emotional and spiritual dimensions of sacred travel. While AI is increasingly used in tourism for personalised recommendations, multilingual assistance, predictive crowd management, virtual interpretation and service automation, its application in religious travel requires deeper cultural and ethical reflection. Using India’s large and diverse pilgrimage ecosystem as the focal context, the paper argues that AI should not be treated merely as a tool for efficiency, but as a socio-technical mediator that influences access, authenticity, ritual participation, trust and post-journey meaning-making.
The paper proposes a Human-Centred …

Cognitive Autonomy In The Age Of Ai: A First-Year University Writing Teacher’S Case For Embodied Learning, Rachel M. Terry
Essays in Education
Cognitive autonomy in the age of AI is becoming an urgent concern in higher education. This article argues that first-year writing instruction should recover cognitive autonomy and embodied learning as correctives to technocratic habits shaped by generative AI, digital convenience, and an overreliance on optimization. Drawing on the author’s positionality as a first-year university writing teacher, it examines how students increasingly treat knowledge as detachable information rather than as something formed through disciplined engagement. The article includes examples of handwritten note-taking and annotation as embodied learning that slows thought, deepens synthesis, and supports student agency. It concludes that education should …
Generalized Delayed Black–Scholes Formula, Bi Gole Hubert Le, Auguste Aman
Generalized Delayed Black–Scholes Formula, Bi Gole Hubert Le, Auguste Aman
Journal of Stochastic Analysis
The aim of this paper is to derive an explicit pricing formula for European options when the underlying asset follows a linear generalized delay differential equation in two distinct financial markets. The pricing methodology is based on the construction of an equivalent martingale measure using Girsanov’s theorem. Our models preserve both the no-arbitrage condition and market completeness. As such, this work extends the framework previously developed by Arriojas et al. in [16], providing a broader class of delay-based option pricing models.
Robust Optimal Consumption, Investment And Reinsurance For Recursive Preferences, Elizabeth Dadzie, Wilfried Kuissi Kamdem, Marcel Ndengo
Robust Optimal Consumption, Investment And Reinsurance For Recursive Preferences, Elizabeth Dadzie, Wilfried Kuissi Kamdem, Marcel Ndengo
Journal of Stochastic Analysis
This paper investigates a robust optimal consumption, investment, and reinsurance problem for an insurer with Epstein-Zin recursive preferences operating under model uncertainty. The insurer’s surplus follows the diffusion approximation of the Cramér-Lundberg model, and the insurer can purchase proportional reinsurance. Model ambiguity is characterised by a class of equivalent probability measures, and the insurer, being ambiguity-averse, aims to maximise utility under the worst-case scenario. By solving the associated coupled forward-backward stochastic differential equation (FBSDE), we derive closed-form solutions for the optimal strategies and the value function. Our analysis reveals how ambiguity aversion, risk aversion, and the elasticity of intertemporal substitution …
An Itô Integral For A Two-Sided Lévy Process, Raluca Balan, Jaime Garza
An Itô Integral For A Two-Sided Lévy Process, Raluca Balan, Jaime Garza
Journal of Stochastic Analysis
In this article, we construct an Itô integral with respect to a two-sided finite-variance Lévy process {L(x)}x∈R, without a Gaussian component. Using Rosenthal inequality for discrete-time martingales, we give an estimate for the p-th moment of this integral, for any even integer p ≥ 2. Then, using Poisson-Malliavin calculus, we show that the Itô integral is an extension of the Hitsuda-Skorokhod integral with respect to the compensated Poisson random measure associated to the Lévy process.

Dynamic Context‑Aware Tokenization For Intent‑Driven Agent‑To‑Agent Transactions, Chandra Shekhar Matam, Harshwardhan Tripathi, Nancy Lakra
Defensive Publications Series
The present disclosure relates to a dynamic tokenization system for facilitating intent-driven transactions between autonomous agents. The system includes a context-aware token that encodes metadata defining multiple conditional spending profiles associated with distinct transaction intents. An intent declaration module receives specified transaction intents from the initiating autonomous agent, while a policy engine evaluates the declared transaction intent along with contextual factors such as agent identity and historical transaction behavior. A dynamic parameterization mechanism updates the metadata of the context-aware token in real-time, establishing context-specific limits on spending, merchant restrictions, transaction velocity, and expiration rules. During authorization, an authorization network validates …

Eyewear-Integrated Hardware-Enclaved Sensor Gating Interface Utilizing Asynchronous Data Valving And Biomechanical Intent Verification, Daitona Carter
Defensive Publications Series
This disclosure details a physical, hardware-enclaved security architecture designed to prevent unauthorized, passive audio and visual data extraction from wearable computing platforms. The framework mechanically decouples micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) microphone arrays and camera sensors from the primary application processor (AP) and host operating system. Raw environmental data streams are routed exclusively into a hardware-isolated, bare-metal secondary microcontroller core operating a dedicated, secure execution environment. This secondary core controls an asynchronous data valve: raw sensor inputs are buffered in a one-way FIFO queue completely inaccessible to the host processor unless explicitly released by a verified user intent signal. This physical intent …
Regulating Operational States Of An On‑Chip Power Controller, Janardan Prasad
Regulating Operational States Of An On‑Chip Power Controller, Janardan Prasad
Defensive Publications Series
System‑on‑chip architectures often employ primary power controllers to direct the operational states of various internal sub‑systems. Problems can arise during periods of sub‑system inactivity, as the primary power controller remains active to monitor the sleeping domains, resulting in continuous power consumption. The disclosed technology utilizes a secondary power controller manager to govern the clocking and power states of the primary power controller. By evaluating hardware handshakes, initiating duration counters, and deploying finite state machines, the power controller manager transitions the primary power controller into a clock‑gated or power‑gated state during extended periods of sub‑system inactivity. In this way, the disclosed …

Pixels And Property Rights: Resolving Social Media Ownership Disputes Between Employers And Employees Through Traditional Property Law Frameworks, Brittany Kjerstad Mcknight
New Mexico Law Review
Social media accounts have become valuable business assets, yet courts remain divided on how to resolve disputes over their ownership. In employer-employee contexts, some courts have adopted multi-factor tests to determine whether an account belongs to the business or the individual. However, these tests create inconsistent and unpredictable results, leaving businesses and employees uncertain about their rights. Courts should reject ad hoc multi-factor tests and instead rely on traditional legal frameworks, specifically property, contract, and agency law, to resolve social media ownership disputes. By treating social media accounts as non-transferable, revocable licenses governed by contractual terms, courts can apply established …
Rejecting Salinas V. Texas’S Catch-22: Towards State Constitutional Protections For Silence In New Mexico, Kayla Herring
Rejecting Salinas V. Texas’S Catch-22: Towards State Constitutional Protections For Silence In New Mexico, Kayla Herring
New Mexico Law Review
The landmark United States Supreme Court case, Miranda v. Arizona, protects individuals’ constitutional rights in coercive environments, like custodial interrogations, where law enforcement officers apply immense psychological pressure through specialized techniques. However, subsequent caselaw distorts Miranda’s intent to enable prosecutors to comment on silence. Doing so divorces Miranda from the reason the United States Supreme Court established Miranda warnings in the first place. This subsequent caselaw narrows individuals’ constitutional right against having their silence used against them in later criminal proceedings to imply guilt based on the custodial framework established in Miranda. Salinas v. Texas is one of those subsequent …
