Determinants Of Antiretroviral Therapy Status Among Men Who Have Sex With Men (Msm) Living With Hiv In Greater Jakarta, Leonita Agustine, Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, Helwiah Umniyati
Determinants Of Antiretroviral Therapy Status Among Men Who Have Sex With Men (Msm) Living With Hiv In Greater Jakarta, Leonita Agustine, Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, Helwiah Umniyati
Jurnal Epidemiologi Kesehatan Indonesia
Men who have sex with men (MSM) are a key population contributing to the largest proportion of new HIV infections among the adult population in Indonesia, accounting for 44% of new infections in 2024. However, antiretroviral therapy (ART), as a key intervention in HIV control, remains suboptimal among this group, with previous studies showing that only around 57% of MSM living with HIV in Indonesia were receiving ART. In urban settings such as Greater Jakarta, these gaps may be more pronounced due to complex social and structural barriers to care. This study used a cross-sectional design based on data from …
"Heil, O Sonne, Heil!": Schemata And Semiotics In Haydn's Oratorio Sunrises, Michael D. Slattery
"Heil, O Sonne, Heil!": Schemata And Semiotics In Haydn's Oratorio Sunrises, Michael D. Slattery
HAYDN: Online Journal of the Haydn Society of North America
Both of Haydn’s late oratorios, The Creation and The Seasons, contain depictions of sunrises, a subject matter that Sisman (2013) has characterized as “Emergent Light,” in contrast with the famous “absolute” creation of light at the opening of The Creation. In addition to their shared object of representation, the four sunrise passages I identify in these two works all use a phrase-level schema Gjerdingen (2007) has christened the Do-Re-Mi. In this paper, I enrich our cultural understanding of Haydn’s sunrises by attending to nuanced semantic implications of the Do-Re-Mi, illustrating how phrase-level schemata can construct extramusical meaning.
Work on phrase-level …

The Relationship Between Financial Depth And Financial Inclusion And Its Impact On Economic Growth: An Econometric Analysis, Omar Mahmood Akawee, Ehsan Jabr Ashoor
Journal of Economics and Administrative Sciences
This research analyzes the impact of financial depth and financial inclusion on economic growth in Iraq, while also examining their combined effect through an interaction term that captures the complementary dimension of the financial sector. The study adopts an econometric approach using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model, based on monthly time-series data covering the period (2022–2025), to estimate both short-run and long-run relationships. The results reveal the existence of a long-run equilibrium relationship among the study variables, as confirmed by the Bounds Test and the error correction term. Furthermore, financial depth, represented by broad money (M2/GDP) and credit to …

Law Number 20 of 2025 on the Criminal Procedure Code introduces the Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA) as a special mechanism for corporate offenders. Article 328(8) grants judges substantive authority to assess proportionality, the impact on the national economy, and the suspect's ability to meet the agreed conditions—yet provides no clear parameters. This absence risks legal uncertainty, judicial formalism, and abuse of power, while colliding with the presumption of innocence within Indonesia's civil-law tradition, in which judges have traditionally played a passive role. This study aims to construct a dogmatic framework for judges' substantive judicial-supervision authority in the DPA mechanism. Employing …

Improving Provider Confidence In Suicide-Risk Screening Through Training On A Safe-T-Guided Pathway At Intake, Shukairo Mack Baker
Doctor of Nursing Practice Projects
Evidence supports structured suicide-prevention education, but inconsistent pathway use at outpatient intake prompted this quality improvement project to evaluate provider confidence. The aim was increased confidence after training on a Suicide Assessment Five-Step Evaluation and Triage (SAFE-T) guided pathway. Donabedian's structure, process, and outcome model and the Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability, and Reinforcement change model guided implementation through one Plan, Do, Study, Act cycle. A single-group pre-test and post-test design involved seven clinicians at one hybrid outpatient behavioral health clinic. All available eligible staff (100%) completed a 2.5-hour training and both surveys. The Suicide Risk Assessment Confidence Scale was administered …

Little is known about how ED patients with OUD perceive racial and ethnic concordance and whether these perceptions differ by race and ethnicity. This study seeks to elicit and compare perspectives on ED patient-clinician racial and ethnic concordance among Black, Hispanic, and White individuals with OUD.
Methods: Two trained qualitative investigators conducted semi-structured individual interviews with 57 participants (20 non-Hispanic Black, 20 non-Hispanic White, and 17 Hispanic) previously enrolled in Project ED-Innovation. We used the National Institute on Minority Health …
Neutrokoopman: Channel-Preserving Koopman Spectral Analysis Of Nonlinear Dynamics With Truth, Indeterminacy, And Falsity Evidence, Ahmed Samy, Mohamed M. Abdelhafeez, K Venkatachalam, Mohamed Abouhawwash
Neutrokoopman: Channel-Preserving Koopman Spectral Analysis Of Nonlinear Dynamics With Truth, Indeterminacy, And Falsity Evidence, Ahmed Samy, Mohamed M. Abdelhafeez, K Venkatachalam, Mohamed Abouhawwash
Neutrosophic Systems with Applications
Modern dynamical systems increasingly operate with evidence that is not merely noisy but incomplete, contradictory, or only partially trustworthy. Conventional Koopman methods represent nonlinear dynamics through linear evolution of observables, while robust and adaptive variants address parameter and model uncertainty. They do not, however, preserve the semantic distinction between support, indeterminacy, and counter-support when those conditions are compressed into a single uncertainty variable. This paper develops NeutroKoopman, a channel-preserving Koopman framework in which the physical state is augmented by a single-valued neutrosophic evidence state νt = ( Tt,It,Ft ). Deterministic and Markovian formulations are …

ABSTRACT. Decentralized archipelagic states face governance challenges in translating national security frameworks into localized institutional practices. This paper analyses the formalization of coastal community participation into maritime security governance in Batam, Indonesia through multi-layered political mechanisms. The study uses a qualitative case study design incorporating insights from securitization theory and multi-level governance frameworks. Data were collected between March and July 2025, comprising 18 semi-structured interviews, policy document analysis, mapping of institutional coordination, and field observations. The findings reveal a persistent multi-level securitization gap: national threat narratives, particularly those articulated in terms of sovereignty, have not been proportionally translated into regional …

Jurnal Wacana Politik
This study examines the political communication models behind the success of "newcomer" candidates from Partai Gerakan Indonesia Raya (Gerindra) and Partai Demokrasi Indonesia-Perjuangan (PDI-P) in the 2024 legislative election in Tasikmalaya Regency. The research addresses a gap in existing literature which tends to analyze political marketing, digital campaigns, candidate image, or incumbent efforts in isolation by highlighting how newcomers integrate various assets such as credibility, emotional connection, and rational approaches. It also offers findings that diverge from previous studies focused on campaign team strength, mass-oriented strategies, and economic capital (money politics); instead, it emphasizes the power of personal communication through …

Is Knowledge Of Policy Key To Its Implementation? The Legal Approach To Promoting The Rights Tohealth Of The Elderly In The Philippines, Roberto E. Javier Jr., Crisanto Regadio Jr., Antonio P. Contreras, Dennis S. Erasga
Asia-Pacific Social Science Review
The general aim of the study is to seek evidence on the role of knowledge in implementing a health policy on aging. In specific terms, it sought evidence on the actual translation of the law on senior citizens’ access to health benefits and social services. To do so, a combination of policy analysis, archival research, and key informant interviews with local executives of selected respective government units were conducted. Overall findings strongly suggest low compliance with health policy implementation efforts attributable to limited knowledge among local government unit heads of the overarching legal framework relative to other agencies. Validation of …

Social And Physical Realities Of Aging In Northeast India: A Study Of Folk Societies, Kaushalendra Pratap Singh, Kanchan Devi
Asia-Pacific Social Science Review
Population aging in Northeast India has emerged as a significant social concern in the context of rapid socioeconomic transformation and the gradual weakening of traditional family support systems. In the traditional folk societies of Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim, older adults increasingly face challenges related to social isolation, inadequate care support, and limited access to healthcare services. The outmigration of younger generations for employment and education has further reduced family-based caregiving, whereas geographical remoteness and insufficient healthcare infrastructure continue to affect the physical well-being of elderly populations. This study examines the social and physical conditions of elderly people in Arunachal Pradesh …

Embodiment, Ableism, And Age: A Qualitative Study On Gynecological Health Among Elderly Women With Disabilities In Rural Bangladesh, Anamul Hoque, Adiba Rahman, Chowdhury Anika Farah, Pranto Paul, Md Shahgahan Miah
Asia-Pacific Social Science Review
In countries with LMIC status, women with disabilities often experience limited access to healthcare, and the reality is even worse, particularly for older women with disabilities. Systematic social and institutional processes, especially in many rural and low-resource contexts, render their bodies invisible and unworthy of care within reproductive and gynecological health systems. These people’s embodied experiences of aging and disability are often overlooked in dominant understandings of women’s health, which leads to gaps in care, recognition, and support. This study explores how rural elderly women with disabilities make sense of their gynecological health, and how experiences of aging, disability, gender, …

Digital Learning And Digital Literacy: Conceptual Distinctions, Theoretical Frameworks, And Educational Implications Across The Educational Continuum, Simone Elias, Linda Wilson-Jones, Richard Brutti
Journal of Research Initiatives
The terms digital learning and digital literacy recur frequently in educational policy and institutional discourse. Yet peer-reviewed scholarship shows they are conceptually distinct constructs operating at fundamentally different levels of analysis. This article examines the theoretical foundations, definitional genealogies, empirical interdependencies, and grade-band and postsecondary manifestations of both constructs across the full educational continuum, from kindergarten through Grade 12 and into undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral education. Drawing on literature across leading educational technology journals, the article argues that digital learning constitutes a pedagogical modality, the structured, technology-mediated environment through which instruction is delivered.
In contrast, digital literacy is a multidimensional …

Fast Sparse Image Reconstruction Models In Through-The-Wall Radars: A Review, Aude Kileo, Hashimu U. Iddi, Abdi Abdalla
Fast Sparse Image Reconstruction Models In Through-The-Wall Radars: A Review, Aude Kileo, Hashimu U. Iddi, Abdi Abdalla
Tanzania Journal of Science
Through-the-Wall Radar Imaging (TWRI) is a modern technology that uses electromagnetic waves to detect objects behind walls, with key applications in surveillance, rescue operations, and reconnaissance. Achieving high resolution in both down-range and cross-range requires ultra-wideband signals and long apertures, resulting in large data volumes, increased acquisition time, and high memory demands. TWRI employs Compressive Sensing (CS) to reduce computational time, which has proved its significance in many recent TWRI applications. However, in CS, image reconstruction approaches shift the computational burden from the sensing stage to the recovery stage, which prolongs the reconstruction times, making it unsuitable in time-sensitive applications. …

Language For Learning: Examining Teacher Language In Reading Instruction, Madeleine Mejia, Amber Bechard
Journal of Research Initiatives
Teacher language plays a key role in literacy instruction because it shows what educators notice about students’ reading, how they interpret performance, and what they see as important for learning. However, common instructional phrases can sometimes reflect assumptions about what students know or can do or miss important parts of reading development. This article looks at teacher language as a way to reflect on these assumptions, especially when teaching students with dyslexia or those who are bilingual or multilingual. Lecturer-To-Lecturer Learning Model For Artificial Intelligence Adoption In African Universities: Opportunities And Challenges, Vincent C. Asogwa
Journal of Research Initiatives
Although artificial intelligence (AI) can transform teaching, research, and administrative processes, many African universities, including those in Eswatini and Nigeria, face challenges in implementing AI effectively because of inadequate infrastructure, lecturer skill gaps, and financial constraints. This study examines the opportunities and challenges associated with adopting the Lecturer-to-Lecturer Learning Model for AI in African universities. Grounded in social constructivism, the model emphasizes knowledge sharing through social interactions, which is particularly relevant in contexts where external resources are limited. The study employs content analysis of secondary data sources, including academic literature, institutional reports, and case studies on AI adoption in higher …

Quantitative Critical Race Theory (QuantCrit) calls researchers to reconsider not only what quantitative analyses report, but also how analytic choices reproduce or disrupt racialized ways of knowing. This methods-focused article develops confidence interval analysis as a practical statistical strategy within a QuantCrit methodological framework. Confidence intervals are not inherently critical or anti-racist. Their value for QuantCrit emerges from how researchers use estimation, uncertainty, comparison, visualization, and interpretation. We demonstrate this approach with National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) Long-Term Trend mathematics data for Black students ages 9, 13, and 17 from 1978 to 2012. Rather than treating White performance as …

University renaming is often seen as either a necessary moral correction or a less significant symbolic reform. This article examines renaming as a matter of higher education governance. It analyzes the removal of Paul Brandon Barringer’s name from honorific spaces at the University of Virginia and Virginia Tech through a qualitative documentary comparative case study. A contextual policy scan of the University of Richmond, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Oregon State University situates the two primary cases within a wider field of naming-governance design. Guided by critical toponymy, institutional theory, policy-decoupling scholarship, organizational-routines theory, and campus-racial-climate …
