Lengua, Conocimiento Y Continuidad Cultural: Contextos De La Educación Avanzada Del Maya Kaqchikel, José Israel Herrera

Journal of Maya Heritage

Exploring The Interactions Between Student–Teacher Relationships, Teacher Passion, And Student Intrinsic Motivation: A Critical Examination Of The Hierarchical Model Of Inspirational Teaching, Stephen W. Rowcliffe Jun 2026

Exploring The Interactions Between Student–Teacher Relationships, Teacher Passion, And Student Intrinsic Motivation: A Critical Examination Of The Hierarchical Model Of Inspirational Teaching, Stephen W. Rowcliffe

Plymouth Interdisciplinary Education Open Journal

This study critically examines the Hierarchical Model of Inspirational Teaching (Rowcliffe, 2022), a conceptual framework proposing that pedagogical competence, student-teacher relationships, and teacher passion are associated with student intrinsic motivation. Although the model has previously been presented conceptually, it has not been subjected to quantitative scrutiny.

Data were collected from 369 students and 33 teachers across two international post-16 schools. Student questionnaires assessed perceptions of student-teacher relationships, teacher passion, and intrinsic motivation, while teacher questionnaires examined burnout. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were used to examine construct structure, followed by correlation, regression, and mediation analyses to explore relationships among variables. …

Expanding The Cognitive Attentional Standards Platform Through Artificial Influence Assessment (Aia): Rationale, Development, And Measurement Design, Delante Clark Jun 2026

Expanding The Cognitive Attentional Standards Platform Through Artificial Influence Assessment (Aia): Rationale, Development, And Measurement Design, Delante Clark

Graduate Scholarship and Creative Works

Artificial intelligence is increasingly shaping how individuals access information, make decisions, and interact with digital environments. The Cognitive Attentional Standards Platform (C.A.S.) was developed to assess attention related harms, cognitive safety, digital autonomy, and platform influence across digital systems (Clark, 2026). However, the growth of generative AI, conversational agents, and algorithmic decision support technologies has introduced new forms of influence that may not be fully captured by existing assessment domains. This paper proposes the Artificial Influence Assessment (AIA) as an expansion of the C.A.S. framework designed to measure AI mediated influence on cognition, behavior, autonomy, and information processing. Drawing on …

Governing Algorithmic Attention: Attention Safeguard Models And The Cognitive Attentional Standard As System Level Interventions In Human Computer Interaction, Behavioral Economics, And Artificial Intelligence, Delante Clark

Graduate Scholarship and Creative Works

Algorithmic recommendation systems and interface designs shape attention by combining visually salient cues with uncertain reward timing and low friction interaction. These conditions can sustain anticipatory checking, extend time on task, and reduce natural disengagement points through patterns such as infinite scrolling and autoplay. This paper synthesizes research across neuroscience, human computer interaction, behavioral economics, and artificial intelligence to argue that attention capture is a predictable outcome of incentive driven design rather than an individual failure of self regulation. It advances the Attention Safeguard Models and the Cognitive Attentional Standard as system level interventions that regulate exposure conditions, pacing, and …

A Stochastic Maximum Principle For Singular Mean-Field Regime-Switching Optimal Control, Maalvladedon Ganet Some, Edward Korveh Jun 2026

A Stochastic Maximum Principle For Singular Mean-Field Regime-Switching Optimal Control, Maalvladedon Ganet Some, Edward Korveh

Journal of Stochastic Analysis

In this paper, we investigate a mean-field singular stochastic optimal control problem for systems governed by mean-field regime-switching singular stochastic differential equations. The state process is assumed to depend on both a regular and a singular control, and the coefficient associated with the singular component is allowed to be regime dependent. We derive both necessary and sufficient singular stochastic maximum principles. Because the regular control domain is not assumed to be convex, we employ the spike variation technique and obtain the necessary maximum principle by introducing a second-order adjoint process. As an application, we use the main theoretical results to …

Pareto Beam Search, Anonymous Jun 2026

Pareto Beam Search, Anonymous

Defensive Publications Series

Techniques are described for multi-objective beam search in generative retrieval systems that autoregressively generate semantic identifiers across multiple codebook steps. Each beam carries a vector of objective scores, such as relevance, diversity, freshness, and business value. At each decoding step, candidate beam extensions are evaluated and pruned by Pareto dominance using non-dominated sorting to form fronts. Beam selection proceeds by taking fronts in order until a beam budget is reached, and crowding distance is used to select among candidates within a front to promote spread across objective space. In some implementations, each beam also carries a preference vector used to …

Active-Feedback User Simulation Agent For Bidirectional Content Retrieval In Recommendation Systems, Anonymous Jun 2026

Active-Feedback User Simulation Agent For Bidirectional Content Retrieval In Recommendation Systems, Anonymous

Defensive Publications Series

Techniques are described for bidirectional candidate generation in a recommendation pipeline using an active-feedback user simulation agent. An initial candidate set is retrieved using one or more retrieval paths. A user digital twin consumes a live session state, including an emotional-state embedding, and evaluates the candidates by predicting a session trajectory. When the predicted trajectory indicates low engagement, disengagement risk, or a coverage gap between predicted preference and available candidates, the agent generates a structured, machine-readable retrieval query (e.g., topic, content-type, social, negative, emotional, or mixing requests). A query handler executes the query to obtain additional candidates, forming an expanded …

Multi-Root Trust Chain Management For Secure Boot Firmware Development And Signing Infrastructure, Anonymous Jun 2026

Multi-Root Trust Chain Management For Secure Boot Firmware Development And Signing Infrastructure, Anonymous

Defensive Publications Series

Techniques are described for managing multiple secure-boot trust chains for firmware development and release on devices that support multiple hardware roots of trust. A provisioning pipeline generates a device configuration image that activates a selected non-production root index and is cryptographically bound to a device identifier such as an SoC serial number. The configuration image is signed using a production root to bootstrap trust, and activation may be policy-gated and generated in an event-driven manner with storage for fast retrieval. A signing service, backed by hardware security modules, signs firmware artifacts via authenticated service-to-service RPC and supports build-time selection between …

Quorum-Certified Partial State Recovery In Replicated Distributed Systems, Anonymous Jun 2026

Quorum-Certified Partial State Recovery In Replicated Distributed Systems, Anonymous

A replicated state machine maintains a quorum-attested committed-state shadow in addition to a consensus-replicated durable log. The shadow is organized into serviceable units (e.g., ranges, shards, or object groups) and includes, per unit, a log term/index through which the unit is safe and a deterministic digest of unit state, optionally with predecessor linkage, coverage metadata, and replica attestations. After leader failover, a replacement leader exchanges shadow records or attestations with followers and computes certified recovery frontiers per unit. In partial-recovery mode, a request gate permits reads from the shadow for certified units and may admit writes for certified units into …

Ai-Driven Contextual Terminology Definition Generation For User Interface Elements, Anonymous Jun 2026

Ai-Driven Contextual Terminology Definition Generation For User Interface Elements, Anonymous

Defensive Publications Series

Systems and methods generate contextual, in-product definitions for domain terminology displayed in user interfaces. A client renders an annotated term and, upon a user click, sends the term and UI context to a backend definition service. The service checks a cache keyed by the term and context; when available, a cached definition is returned. Otherwise, the service invokes a language model with references to authoritative knowledge sources and an output contract requiring a definition of 20 words or fewer and a learn hyperlink to a wiki page that defines the term. The definition and hyperlink are presented via a standardized …

Adaptive Real-Time Video Communication With Latency-Aware Codec Selection And Asymmetric Codec Design, Anonymous Jun 2026

Adaptive Real-Time Video Communication With Latency-Aware Codec Selection And Asymmetric Codec Design, Anonymous

Defensive Publications Series

Techniques for adaptive real-time video communication are described. A device capability classifier, optionally based on a machine-learning model, determines codec eligibility beyond static device attributes. During a session, an endpoint measures encoding latency to adjust encoder complexity presets and to switch from a higher-complexity codec to a lower-complexity codec when real-time criteria are not satisfied. A receiving endpoint measures decoding latency and can signal the sender to change codec or configuration responsive to receiver-side performance. The techniques also support asymmetric operation in which an endpoint transmits using a first codec while receiving using a second codec. Additionally, temporal layering is …

Stochastic Codebook Nearest-Neighbor Decoding For Robust Digital Watermark Recovery, Anonymous Jun 2026

Stochastic Codebook Nearest-Neighbor Decoding For Robust Digital Watermark Recovery, Anonymous

Defensive Publications Series

Systems and methods are disclosed for recovering invisible digital watermark messages from modified media using database-backed nearest-neighbor decoding. An embedding subsystem generates an n-bit binary message sampled uniformly at random, embeds the message into a media item using a watermark encoder, and stores an association between the message and a content identifier in a message database. A decoding subsystem extracts a noisy n-bit message from a candidate media item, performs a Hamming-distance nearest-neighbor search over stored messages to obtain a closest stored message and distance, and applies threshold-based decision logic to determine a match. A two-threshold policy may trigger optional …

Autonomous Configuration Parameter Range Discovery And Optimization Using Co-Located Runtime Feedback, Anonymous Jun 2026

Autonomous Configuration Parameter Range Discovery And Optimization Using Co-Located Runtime Feedback, Anonymous

Defensive Publications Series

A configuration intelligence layer (CIL) is executed as a companion process co-located on the same computing node as a target configurable application. The CIL locally ingests a parameter schema that includes declared parameter ranges and current values, and locally monitors runtime key performance indicators and error/event streams with low latency. Using closed-loop optimization, the CIL iteratively adjusts parameter values and detects boundary-limited optimization when improvement trends are constrained at a declared minimum or maximum. Under safety controls such as canary application, change budgets, and rollback on error thresholds, the CIL explores beyond declared bounds to gather operational evidence. The CIL …

Service-Aware Dynamic Voltage And Frequency Scaling Via Thread Attribution And Synchronous Lock Interception, Vadlamudi Venkata Girish Jun 2026

Service-Aware Dynamic Voltage And Frequency Scaling Via Thread Attribution And Synchronous Lock Interception, Vadlamudi Venkata Girish

Defensive Publications Series

In mixed-criticality computing systems, latency-critical services can be delayed when lower-priority tasks hold shared resource locks, causing a priority inversion.  Software that performs aggregate-based power scaling responds more slowly to these events than hardware.  This publication describes a service-aware power management architecture that utilizes synchronous lock interception and hardware-assisted thread profiling to resolve resource contention.  An event-driven interceptor monitors synchronization primitives to detect when a critical task is blocked by a lower-priority thread.  Before altering a power state of the lower-priority thread, however, the system queries hardware performance counters to verify that the blocking task is compute-bound rather than memory-stalled. …

Resource-Provider Rbac For Multi-Domain Ai Platforms, Gustavo Matthew Assuncao Jun 2026

Resource-Provider Rbac For Multi-Domain Ai Platforms, Gustavo Matthew Assuncao

Defensive Publications Series

Flat role-based access control — admin / user / viewer — does not scale to a platform hosting many independently-developed domains (CRM, communications, finance, documents, AI personas) that appear and disappear at runtime and share resources across domain boundaries. Hardcoding a capability map forces a code deploy for every new permission; scattering per-domain access-control lists duplicates safety-critical logic and drifts. This publication describes a resource-provider RBAC model for AI-agent platforms in which each domain module registers its own resource catalogue at boot — resource types, each with a set of actions and a schema — into a central registry. Every …
