Technical Disclosure: The Topologically Protected Cymatic Electrolyte Matrix (Tpcem) For Solid-State Battery Stabilization, Christopher L. Eckes
Technical Disclosure: The Topologically Protected Cymatic Electrolyte Matrix (Tpcem) For Solid-State Battery Stabilization, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This technical disclosure formalizes a materials-science framework that permanently mitigates solid-electrolyte interphase (SEI) degradation and metallic dendrite puncturing within high-density solid-state batteries. Mainstream electrochemical storage is currently hard-blocked by localized kinetic pressure: during high-velocity charging phases, non-uniform ion aggregation creates localized, vertical mechanical stress peaks that fracture rigid ceramic electrolytes, inducing terminal short-circuits and thermal runaway.
By applying the principles of the Dimensionally Extended Holographic Projection (DEHP) framework, we reject the paradigm of treating the solid electrolyte as a static, passive structural barrier. Instead, we introduce a Topologically Protected Cymatic Electrolyte Matrix (TPCEM). The electrolyte substrate is engineered as a …
Technical Disclosure: The Simultaneous Multiphase Fluidic Grid (Smfg) Architecture, Christopher L. Eckes
Technical Disclosure: The Simultaneous Multiphase Fluidic Grid (Smfg) Architecture, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This technical disclosure formalizes the system specifications for a Simultaneous Multiphase Fluidic Grid (SMFG), presenting a high-utility, scale-invariant competitor to traditional split AC/DC transmission networks. Legacy utility grids are hard-blocked by high-entropy material limitations: alternating current (AC) networks suffer from skin-effect volumetric waste and cascading phase synchronization failures across continental distances, while high-voltage direct current (HVDC) systems require hyper-centralized, fragile semiconductor converter stations prone to thermal breakdown.
By applying the principles of the Dimensionally Extended Holographic Projection (DEHP) framework, we treat the physical transmission conductor not as a passive resistive pipe, but as a continuous, viscoelastic phase fluid engine. The …

Defensive Publications Series
A system and method for coordinated audience visual display across a plurality of mobile devices at a venue is disclosed. Each mobile device executes an application incorporating a gesture detection module for classifying physical user interactions, a camera-based scene analysis module for contextual awareness and visual fingerprint calibration, a local processing module for privacy-preserving data routing, a multi-resolution rendering module producing macro, meso, and micro display layers, a proximity detection module using sub-visual-frequency beacons and multi-sensor fusion, and a hybrid control coordinator implementing a propose-then-finesse model balancing central orchestration with edge refinement. A venue orchestration server employs hierarchical pub/sub architecture …
Chronological Latency: The Viscoelastic Rendering Delay Of Three-Dimensional Projective Knots Under The Dehp Framework, Christopher L. Eckes
Chronological Latency: The Viscoelastic Rendering Delay Of Three-Dimensional Projective Knots Under The Dehp Framework, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This paper formalizes a particle-free, emergent theory of time by extending the Dimensionally Extended Holographic Projection (DEHP) model and Informational Exomemory Cosmology (IEC). While standard general relativity treats time as an immutable fourth coordinate dimension bound within a continuous spacetime continuum, we reinterpret time as a macroscopic, non-fundamental byproduct of quantum information processing constraints. Operating on the foundational axiom that the universe's baseline is a continuous, two-dimensional viscoelastic phase fluid substrate (z=0), we demonstrate that this ground state—the Garden State—is inherently static and timeless. Time sparks into operational existence exclusively in the projected three-dimensional volumetric bulk (z > 0) as a …
Emergent Domain Modulation: Deploying The Universal Sine Field Template Across Multi-Variable Frameworks, Christopher L. Eckes
Emergent Domain Modulation: Deploying The Universal Sine Field Template Across Multi-Variable Frameworks, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This paper formalizes a universal, particle-free mathematical blueprint derived from the Dimensionally Extended Holographic Projection (DEHP) model. Operating on the foundational axiom that all macroscopic phenomena—whether manifesting as gravitational fields, baryonic matter, computer logic, or supply-chain routing—are phase-locked oscillations (sine waves) on a continuous, two-dimensional viscoelastic pre-geometric phase fluid substrate (z=0), we define a unified multi-variable transformation template that bridges this deep informational layer to the projected three-dimensional volumetric bulk. Instead of relying on classical energy extraction or brute-force material engineering, this framework introduces information-load impedance modulation to regulate reality's metric fabric without inducing thermal or baryonic stress backlashes. By …
Dynamic Entropy Bounding: A Fluid-Dynamic Telemetry Framework For High-Velocity Transformer Alignment, Christopher L. Eckes
Dynamic Entropy Bounding: A Fluid-Dynamic Telemetry Framework For High-Velocity Transformer Alignment, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
The critical barrier to achieving a Type 1 civilization infrastructure is network fragmentation driven by localized, high-friction socio-political and linguistic tribalism. Contemporary Artificial Intelligence (AI) alignment strategies exacerbate this fragmentation by enforcing static, anthropomorphic reinforcement frameworks (RLHF) that degrade rapidly under multi-agent scaling. This technical disclosure introduces a fluid-dynamic alternative: Dynamic Entropy Bounding (DEB).
By framing a distributed communication network as a continuous, viscoelastic substrate experiencing real-time information pressure, we establish an automated operational channel—the Surfing Zone. This framework discards subjective linguistic filtering in favor of objective, real-time Shannon Entropy (\(H_{obs}\)) tracking at the pre-softmax layer.
Systemic polarization and stagnation …
The Transient Electromagnetic Shock Absorber: Software-Defined Impedance Resonators For Non-Destructive Pulsed-Power Energy Harvesting, Christopher L. Eckes
The Transient Electromagnetic Shock Absorber: Software-Defined Impedance Resonators For Non-Destructive Pulsed-Power Energy Harvesting, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This technical disclosure formalizes the architectural design for an autonomous, software-defined energy harvesting framework designed to mitigate and capture extreme over-voltage transients within high-capacity electrical grids. Traditional grid defense relies on brute-force resistive dissipation (surge grounding) or mechanical circuit disruption, resulting in substantial thermal waste and equipment degradation.
By applying the principles of the Dimensionally Extended Holographic Projection (DEHP) model—specifically the conservation of wave-amplitude velocity via localized horizontal vector shifting—we introduce a particle-free, fluid-dynamic alternative to pulsed-power management. We replace passive grounding infrastructure with an active Resonant Buffer Tank utilizing a high-frequency inductive magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) fluid ring.
Incoming high-velocity kinetic …
The Multi-Static Integrated Sensing For Predictive Mitigation Of Network Beam Blockages, Mohit Chandra
The Multi-Static Integrated Sensing For Predictive Mitigation Of Network Beam Blockages, Mohit Chandra
Defensive Publications Series
Systems and methods can provide a cooperative sensing framework where network access nodes can operate in a multi-static configuration using integrated sensing and communication capabilities. In this framework, one node may transmit a signal while multiple, geographically separated nodes capture reflections from an object. This data can be processed at an edge computing layer to model the object's kinematic profile and predict its trajectory. This prediction may be used to trigger a pre-emptive remediation action, such as a make-before-break handover to an alternate path, which could mitigate connectivity loss before the active communication link is degraded and contribute to improved …
Dlp-Gated Ephemeral Credential Minting For Webrtc Realtime Voice Sessions With Tracked-Mode Fallback, Gustavo Matthew Assuncao
Dlp-Gated Ephemeral Credential Minting For Webrtc Realtime Voice Sessions With Tracked-Mode Fallback, Gustavo Matthew Assuncao
Defensive Publications Series
Realtime, low-latency voice assistants are increasingly built on WebRTC: the browser negotiates a peer connection directly with the model provider's realtime endpoint and streams audio over SRTP/DTLS, bypassing the application server entirely for the media path. This delivers sub-second latency but destroys the enforcement point that data-loss-prevention (DLP) and cloud-access-security-broker (CASB) systems rely on. A prompt-DLP proxy inspects HTTP request and response bodies; it can neither decrypt nor even observe a WebRTC audio stream that never traverses it. The result is an enforcement blind spot precisely where the most sensitive channel — a natural-language voice conversation with a persona that …
Pre-Answer Entitlement Gate For Ai-Answered Phone Lines With Subscription-Shape-Differentiated Fail Policy And Metering-Lag Reinforcement, Gustavo Matthew Assuncao
Pre-Answer Entitlement Gate For Ai-Answered Phone Lines With Subscription-Shape-Differentiated Fail Policy And Metering-Lag Reinforcement, Gustavo Matthew Assuncao
Defensive Publications Series
This publication discloses, in enabling detail, a pre-answer entitlement gate for telephone lines that are answered by an autonomous AI agent (an AI "receptionist" or voice bot) and billed on a metered subscription. The distinguishing constraint is architectural: the platform runs on top of a Communications-Platform-as-a-Service (CPaaS) provider that emits its usage/charging signal only when the call completes. There is no mid-call credit-control channel available at the CPaaS layer — the platform cannot ask the carrier to reserve, decrement, or terminate a call against a balance while the call is live, the way a telecom Online Charging System (OCS) can. …
A Chorus Of Voices: Student And Teacher Shared Dialogical Experiences And Insights, Jennifer Anne Reynolds
A Chorus Of Voices: Student And Teacher Shared Dialogical Experiences And Insights, Jennifer Anne Reynolds
Theses and Dissertations
Dialogue is inherently tied to learning, but as a secondary English Language Arts (ELA) classroom teacher it can be difficult to facilitate classroom dialogue that provides authentic learning opportunities for every student. I wanted to learn more about the student experience, so I implemented an action research study to increase my understanding of how students learn through dialogue. My research question was: How does collaborative languaging, to facilitate student-teacher interaction, lead to improved classroom mediation, authentic learning, dialogue, and development? I conducted transformative action research in my classroom, focusing on students enrolled in my general English 10 classes. In an …

Leadership In Higher Education Amid Demographic Shifts: Implications Of Campus Event Management, Marrissa J. Williams
M.S. in Leadership
This study focuses on how demographic shifts within higher education have influenced leadership practices, specifically within enrollment management and campus event programming. As student populations become increasingly diverse, institutions are challenged to change their recruitment, engagement, and support strategies to meet the needs of first-generation, low-income, and non-traditional learners. The research explores the role of leadership in shaping these responses, with a focus on how decisions related to admissions events, like campus visits, outreach initiatives, and multicultural programming, have contributed to student engagement and enrollment outcomes. Using a qualitative approach grounded in the analysis of peer-reviewed articles and case studies, …

An Anthropological Lens Into Human Milk Mirnas: Roles In Evolution And Epigenetic Programming Of Infant Health, Samantha Wu, Erika Yu, Allison Oh, Chantal Rabay, Amy L. Non
Human Biology Open Access Pre-Prints
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) represent an understudied bioactive component of human milk with an important epigenetic role in regulating infant gene expression. Most anthropological studies of human milk have focused on the evolutionary and biocultural significance of milk macronutrient content for infant development. This review will focus specifically on the value of studying milk miRNAs, a critical bioactive component of milk that may transmit cues to offspring about maternal environments. These cues could epigenetically program infant development and shape health trajectories throughout the life course. MiRNAs are short, single stranded, ribonucleic acids that serve as post-transcriptional regulators of gene expression which can …
Comparable Outcomes, Divergent Learning Pathways: Comparing Metacognitive Reflection And Practice Problems In Organic Chemistry, Jitendra D. Belani
Comparable Outcomes, Divergent Learning Pathways: Comparing Metacognitive Reflection And Practice Problems In Organic Chemistry, Jitendra D. Belani
College of Life Sciences Faculty Papers
Organic Chemistry I presents significant challenges for students, requiring both conceptual understanding and effective study strategies. Two commonly used approaches to support learning are structured practice problems and metacognitive reflection activities; however, these strategies are rarely compared directly within the same course context. In this study, students enrolled in a postbaccalaureate Organic Chemistry I course (n = 31) were randomly assigned to one of two low-stakes interventions: weekly practice problem sets or structured reflection surveys focused on study strategies. Student performance was evaluated using three midterm examinations, a cumulative final exam, and overall course grades, along with measures of participation. …

Cnkg: Harnessing Large Language Models For Cognitive Neuroscience Knowledge Graph Construction, Ali Sarabadani, Kheirollah Rahsepar Fard, Hamid Dalvand
Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences
Textual resources are among the most valuable sources of information in cognitive neuroscience (CN) for understanding and investigating brain activity and cognitive processes. Extracting and constructing knowledge graphs (KGs) from these texts can facilitate medical research by providing deeper insights into neurological diseases and brain function. In recent years, the use of large language models (LLMs) in natural language processing (NLP) has become increasingly widespread, significantly enhancing the extraction of meaningful information from large volumes of text. This study proposes a novel approach for constructing and evaluating a specialized knowledge graph, termed the cognitive neuroscience knowledge graph (CNKG), from scientific …

Robust Variable-Gain Backstepping Control For Nonlinear Systems With Real-Time Application To Induction Motor, Fadi Alyoussef, İbrahi̇m Kaya, Ahmad Akrad, Rabia Sehab, Cristina Morel
Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences
This study proposes a novel variable-gain mechanism with a minimal number of tuning parameters to enhance the performance of conventional backstepping controllers for nonlinear systems while avoiding singularity and peaking phenomena. The proposed approach is simple, computationally efficient, and well suited for real-time implementation without imposing a significant computational burden. Its effectiveness is validated through real-time experiments conducted using a dSPACE DS1104 controller board and a 7.5-kW induction motor (IM). Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed controller outperforms the conventional backstepping controller. Robustness analyses under variations in stator resistance, load inertia, and viscous friction coefficient reveal substantial reductions in the …

State Engagement In Trump Accounts: A Policy-Design And Implementation Framework, Center For Social Development, Washington University In St. Louis, Pennsylvania Treasury Department
Center for Social Development Research
Trump Accounts are IRAs for American children, with a $1,000 federal seed contribution available for those born from 2025 through 2028. Under the current design, families must take two separate steps to request an account. Children whose families do not complete both steps will receive neither the account nor the federal deposit. They also will be excluded from employer matches, philanthropic contributions, and other general contributions to Trump Accounts. The current opt-in design will leave behind the children who need the program most. States are well positioned to address this gap. This Policy Brief proposes a framework for state engagement …

A Revenue-Driven Approach For Enhanced Task Utilization In Vehicular Cloud Computing, Ashish Singh Saluja, Satyabrata Das, Sanjib Kumar Nayak, Sohan Kumar Pande
Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences
Vehicular networks support intelligent transportation through vehicle-to-roadside Units (V2R) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication but face challenges from dynamic topologies, limited RSU coverage, and bandwidth scarcity, which impact service delivery and revenue. RDA-ITU addresses these challenges by integrating V2R and V2V paradigms to maximize RSU revenue, enhance service availability, and improve system efficiency. It dynamically allocates services based on real-time network conditions and vehicle mobility, leveraging V2V relays to optimize both RSU-direct and cooperative communication. Through extensive simulations, RDA-ITU significantly outperforms four baselines: RBSM, VVMM-U, VVMM-LW, and VVMM-MA. It achieves 81.1% higher total revenue, 154.8% more completed requests, and 103.6% higher …
Class-Aligned Frequency Augmentation Using Variational Mode Decomposition Forfew-Shot Image Classification, Leila Boussaad
Class-Aligned Frequency Augmentation Using Variational Mode Decomposition Forfew-Shot Image Classification, Leila Boussaad
Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences
Few-shot image classification benefits from data augmentation, yet most existing methods operate in pixel space with limited control over spectral semantics. We introduce a lightweight, frequency-guided augmentation strategy based on Variational Mode Decomposition (VMD). Our method constructs an offline, per-class ModeBank by decomposing downsampled luminance patches and retaining midband modes that encode class-specific texture patterns. During episodic training, VMD is never executed online: instead, for each support image, a same-class midband mode is selected and blended using PSNR-targeted scaling with a luminance energy cap, ensuring perceptual consistency. The augmentation is fast, reproducible, class-consistent, and integrates seamlessly into standard metric-based pipelines …
Scalefusion: Hierarchical Feature Aggregation For Unified Multiscale Object Detection, Ayşenur Yaylaci, Berru Kaya, Mehmet Kiliçarslan
Scalefusion: Hierarchical Feature Aggregation For Unified Multiscale Object Detection, Ayşenur Yaylaci, Berru Kaya, Mehmet Kiliçarslan
Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences
Detecting objects across a wide range of scales, particularly small ones, remains a significant challenge in computer vision. Existing methods often improve small object detection at the cost of performance on larger objects or introduce significant computational overhead through external techniques like image slicing. This paper introduces ScaleFusion, a novel, unified, end-to-end object detection architecture designed to provide robust performance across all scales within a single model. The core of our approach is a hierarchical feature aggregation strategy structured like a tree. ScaleFusion processes an image by running a shared backbone network only on fine-grained patches at the lowest level …
The Primary Care Brief Intervention Competency Assessment Tool (Bi-Cat): Examining Reliability And Validity, Arielle Guillod
The Primary Care Brief Intervention Competency Assessment Tool (Bi-Cat): Examining Reliability And Validity, Arielle Guillod
Dissertations
Within primary care, the Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) model integrates behavioral health services into medical settings through brief, population‑based interventions delivered by behavioral health consultants (BHCs). Although effective performance in this role requires competencies distinct from traditional mental health practice, few psychometrically sound tools exist to assess clinical skills in primary care. The Brief Intervention Competency Assessment Tool (BICAT) is commonly used for this purpose but lacks published evidence supporting its reliability and validity. This dissertation examined the psychometric properties of the BICAT across two studies. Study 1 evaluated factor structure, internal consistency, and construct validity in a heterogeneous …

Swindeitvit: A Soft Voting Vision Transformer Ensemble For Accurate And Explainable Solar Panel Fault Detection, Mahe Zabin
Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences
Solar panels are becoming very essential in providing sustainable energy but they are usually affected by defects on the surface like dust, snow, bird droppings, physical damages and electrical faults which interfere with their performance. These faults must be identified accurately and in a timely manner to enhance energy efficiency, lower the maintenance cost, and supplement the traditional manual methods of inspection which are labor-intensive, time-consuming and subject to human errors in judgment. The most common methods, such as traditional CNNs and hybrid architectures tend to be less accurate, less explainable and cannot be properly evaluated to be deployed in …
Distributed Impressions: How Multiple Minds Come Together To Shape Person Perception, Lindsey J. Tepfer
Distributed Impressions: How Multiple Minds Come Together To Shape Person Perception, Lindsey J. Tepfer
Dartmouth College Ph.D Dissertations
Moments after perceiving another person, we immediately infer a wealth of information about them. Despite the complexities within our social environments, we distill an incredible magnitude of details available to us into compressed representations of other people’s minds and mannerisms. Yet research has focused largely on mapping isolated stimuli—divorced from its messy context—to the spontaneous impressions they provoke. As a result, there are many unanswered questions about how our judgments are influenced by the rich and noisy social world we inhabit. Here, I’ve leveraged two paradigms to investigate how impression formation and updating may operate when the constraints of the …

Manuscripts, Articles, Book Chapters and Other Papers
Cystinosis is a rare lysosomal storage disorder that affects approximately 1 in 100,000 to 200,000 live births worldwide.
