Introduction: Nomophobia, the fear of being without a mobile phone, has become a significant concern in the current digital age. Healthcare professionals rely heavily on mobile devices for communication and information access. This cross-sectional study aimed to assess the prevalence and determinants of nomophobia among healthcare workers in Nepal.

Methods: A modified Nomophobia Questionnaire (NMP-Q) was used to determine nomophobia scores. Rationale: Pediatric Obstructive Sleep Apnea (POSA) is a relatively common childhood sleep disorder whose neurodevelopmental phenotype includes deficits in learning and memory, olfaction, and fine motor abilities.

Objectives: To date, there has not been a validated preclinical model of POSA, hampering efforts in understanding how nocturnal episodes of intermittent hypoxia disrupt neurodevelopmental trajectories. The objective of this study was to create a faithful sculpting of the human condition in a preclinical murine model.

Background: CDKL5 deficiency disorder (CDD) is a rare developmental and epileptic encephalopathy (DEE) associated with multiple impairments and comorbidities. Ischemic heart disease, which affects more than 200 million people worldwide, is caused by reduced blood flow to the heart and leads to widespread cardiomyocyte death. Due to the limited regenerative potential of cardiomyocytes, the lost tissue is replaced by a fibrotic scar, resulting in reduced cardiac function and progression to heart failure. Current therapeutic interventions aim to improve blood flow but cannot address the inability of cardiomyocytes to renew after injury. Aims: Patients with heart failure (HF) at high risk for hyperkalaemia are underrepresented in prospective HF registries. The CARE-HK in HF registry sought to characterize prospectively the clinical profile, management, and outcomes for patients with HF at high risk of hyperkalaemia.

Methods and results: CARE-HK in HF was a multinational prospective registry of outpatients with HF (regardless of left ventricular ejection fraction [LVEF]) treated with an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor/angiotensin II receptor blocker/angiotensin receptor-neprilysin inhibitor (ACEI/ARB/ARNI) and either receiving or potential candidate for a mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist (MRA). Objective: Decannulation is a critical milestone in functional recovery after tracheostomy, but standardized guidelines are lacking. This study examined factors associated with tracheostomy decannulation success, comparing hospital utilization, adverse events, and survival outcomes between decannulated and non-decannulated patients.

Study design: Retrospective, observational study.

Setting: Data were collected from 25 hospitals participating in the Global Tracheostomy Collaborative (GTC) in the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom.

Objective: Access to follow-up care after a medical admission for adolescents with anorexia nervosa (AN) is important; yet access can be delayed or unavailable. This study assessed the feasibility and acceptability of a supplemental virtual 8-week outpatient group therapy program following inpatient care. A secondary aim explored the outpatient program's impact on self-reported anxiety, disordered eating, and depression symptoms, and readmission rates.

Genetic risk prediction for Alzheimer's disease (AD) has high potential impact, yet few studies have assessed the reliability of various polygenic risk score (PRS) methods at the individual level. Here, we evaluated the reliability of AD PRS estimates among 6338 participants from the Multi-Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis. We compared four PRS models that have been previously associated with dementia risk. Despite similar population-level performance metrics, inter-model reliability of individual-level risk assessment was low, even among individuals classified in the top and bottom deciles. These findings raise serious concerns about the downstream application of PRS for guiding interventions for AD.

Despite advancements in psychotherapy research on effectiveness and critical therapy processes, there remains a significant gap between the science and the art of psychotherapy, specifically on how to understand what to do moment-to-moment with each patient. A burgeoning research literature addresses this question by examining psychotherapy microprocesses, which typically referred to within-session changes of therapy processes, aiming to bridge psychotherapy research with clinical practice. In this pre-registered systematic review, we reviewed 86 empirical quantitative studies examining observational psychotherapy microprocesses over 35 years. This study analyzes how U.S. universities reconfigure academic integrity during the 2024–2025 cycle in response to widespread generative AI adoption. The analysis foregrounds three loci: student ignorance and metacognitive blind spots; the expanded remit of Academic Integrity Officers prioritizing education over punishment; and deliberate AI-enabled misconduct that exposes the evidentiary limits of detection technologies. A mixed-methods design integrates a multi-site review at Arizona State University, Montclair State University, and Cornell University with synthesis of surveys, policies, and faculty development guidance. Our study draws attention to the underexamined phenomenon of the exit of foreign directors from their host countries during geopolitical tensions. Neuropsychiatric symptoms (NPS) are common features of neurodegenerative disease (NDD) but are relatively understudied compared to cognition, especially regarding biomarkers. Further, emerging evidence describes the utility of systematic assessment of NPS across the cognitive continuum, even in advance of dementia. In this narrative review, we discuss the role of plasma biomarkers in relation to NPS across the cognitive continuum of unimpaired, subjective cognitive decline, mild cognitive impairment, and dementia. The green transition is driving demand for engineering expertise in sectors such as renewable energy, construction, transport, and industrial decarbonisation. Projects are complex and interdisciplinary, and communication plays a central role. This report presents findings from 20 focus groups with 103 engineers across Europe examining how engineers communicate in green transition project contexts. Participants described a wide range of communicative tasks involving coordination, documentation, stakeholder engagement, and public communication.Engineers work across spoken, written, and digital modes, shifting between formal and informal styles, and adapting to varied audiences. Project-Based Learning (PBL) is widely acknowledged for fostering student engagement; however, limited research explores how its specific design features influence behavioral engagement, defined as students’ active participation, persistence, and effort, particularly in early education settings. This study investigates what key factors, as perceived by teachers, influence students' behavioral engagement during PBL, and how these factors support motivation through the lens of Self-Determination Theory (SDT). Introduction: Children with childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) exhibit speech production deficits beyond segmental errors, including atypical coarticulation. Broadly, children with speech sound disorders (SSD) also exhibit weaknesses in speech perception, which may directly relate to specific production difficulties. This study examined differences in categorical perception among children with CAS, residual SSD affecting /ɹ/ (rSSD), and typical speech (TD). We hypothesized that children with CAS would demonstrate weaker performance on a task requiring perception of coarticulatory cues—a defining weakness in their speech production—but perform similarly to rSSD peers on a segmental task. Enhancing Surgical Understanding Of Diabetic Foot Ulcer Classification Through Anatomage Integration: A Digital Approach To Wagner Grading, Nidhin John, Hooman Mir

Background: Diabetic foot ulcers often lead to amputation, and accurate Wagner classification requires strong spatial understanding. Anatomage, a 3D digital anatomy tool, may improve this learning.

Methods: Thirty-six surgical trainees completed a pretest, explored digitally reconstructed Wagner grade 0–5 ulcers on Anatomage, and completed a posttest. Paired-sample analysis measured changes in accuracy, comprehension, and confidence.

Results: Classification accuracy improved from 61% to 89% (p < 0.05), with the greatest gains in higher Wagner grades. Participants reported clearer visualization of wound depth, bone involvement, and infection spread.

Conclusion: Anatomage enhances understanding and diagnostic precision of Wagner ulcer classification, supporting more effective limb-preservation education
