Esg-Driven Traceability Adoption: An Impact Thinking Multi-Dimensional Framework For The Fashion And Textile Industry, María Tamames Sobrino, David Antonio Rosas Espín, Jaime Gisbert-Payá

Artículos científicos

This study introduces an Impact Thinking Approach (ITA) as a strategic framework to strengthen traceability implementation in the fashion and textile industry. The research examines how ESG impact dimensions shape sustainable strategy definition and how traceability can act as a strategic enabler rather than a mere compliance tool. A mixed-method design combining a narrative literature review, content analysis of 69 sustainability sources, and a two-round Delphi study with 19 experts was employed to identify, evaluate, and prioritize impact drivers related to traceability adoption. The resulting ITA framework connects regulatory requirements, impact materiality, and traceability demands into a unified structure that …

More Than A Meal: What Death Row Last Meals Reveal About Identity, Power, And Humanity, Mackenzie Helbig Jan 2026

More Than A Meal: What Death Row Last Meals Reveal About Identity, Power, And Humanity, Mackenzie Helbig

Honors Theses - Providence Campus

Last meals on death row may appear to be a small or insignificant part of the execution process, but they can reveal deeper meaning about the individuals who choose them and the system that allows them. Before execution, inmates are often given the opportunity to request a final meal. While this moment is brief, it can carry emotional, cultural, and symbolic meaning. This study explores what last meals reveal about identity, mental state, and personal control in a highly controlled environment.

Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this research analyzes last meal records, academic studies, and inmate reports to identify recurring …

Roundtable Discussion: Women Leadership In Business Transformation - Esg As A Catalyst For Sustainable Growth, Center For Entrepreneurship And Innovation

Faculty Journal Articles

ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) has become increasingly prominent in Egypt’s corporate and regulatory landscape, yet its potential as a driver of sustainable growth and business transformation remains underutilized. While disclosure and governance practices have improved, ESG is still largely approached as a compliance and reporting obligation rather than an integrated framework for value creation, resilience, and long-term competitiveness. At the same time, organizations face mounting pressures from climate risk, resource constraints, evolving workforce expectations, and investor scrutiny, making the effective integration of ESG into strategy and operations more urgent than ever. Women’s leadership represents a critical, yet underleveraged, enabler …

Striving To Thrive: Balancing Digital Health Innovation And Patient Protection Under Thailand’S Legal Framework, Thidarat Liamsomboon Jan 2026

Striving To Thrive: Balancing Digital Health Innovation And Patient Protection Under Thailand’S Legal Framework, Thidarat Liamsomboon

Theses and Dissertations

The digitalization of health care has fundamentally transformed how health care services are accessed, delivered, and experienced worldwide. Telemedicine, artificial intelligence–assisted diagnostics, electronic health records, wearables, and mobile health applications are no longer novelties, but have become a substantial part of a modern clinical practice. Although these technologies offer great prospects for making health care more accessible, reducing administrative burden, and improving the quality of care, they also pose significant legal and regulatory challenges. The rate of technological development has far outpaced Thailand’s existing legal frameworks for regulating medical practice, professional accountability, and patient protection. This regulatory “lag” has generated …

Understanding The Underutilization Of The Campus Recreation Facility: A Mixed-Methods Examination Of Basic Psychological Need Satisfaction, Social Physique Anxiety, Sense Of Community, And Physical Environment Barriers, Caden M. Pfingsten

Master's Theses or Doctor of Nursing Practice

Campus recreation facilities have been identified as important contributors to student well-being, academic persistence, and institutional belonging. Despite these documented benefits, a persistent gap exists between available services and actual student utilization at many institutions. This study examined the psychological, social, and environmental factors associated with students' underutilization of the Campus Recreation Facility (CRF) at a mid-sized Midwestern public university in favor of paid off-campus commercial gym memberships.

Using a cross-sectional survey design, 169 students completed a battery of validated and researcher-adapted instruments assessing basic psychological need satisfaction (autonomy, competence, and relatedness), Sense of Community, and social physique anxiety across …

Implementing An Electronic Referral System In A Community Mental Health Clinic To Streamline Patient Care: An Evidence-Based Quality Improvement Project, Judith Ngante Jan 2026

Implementing An Electronic Referral System In A Community Mental Health Clinic To Streamline Patient Care: An Evidence-Based Quality Improvement Project, Judith Ngante

Master's Theses or Doctor of Nursing Practice

Inefficient referral processes in community mental health clinics contribute to delayed access to care, fragmented communication, and increased administrative burden. Traditional referral methods, including phone, fax, and paper-based systems, often result in prolonged wait times and documentation errors, negatively impacting patient outcomes. Evidence supports electronic referral (e-referral) systems as effective tools for improving care coordination, reducing delays, and enhancing provider satisfaction. This Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) quality improvement project aimed to implement an e-referral system in a community mental health clinic in metropolitan Texas to streamline patient care and reduce referral wait times by at least 30% over a …

Clinical And Community-Based Recovery Models: The Focus On How They Can Be Better Together, Alicia Wilder Jan 2026

Clinical And Community-Based Recovery Models: The Focus On How They Can Be Better Together, Alicia Wilder

Graduate Research Papers

Two of the main pathways for individuals to access recovery services are clinical and community-based. The clinical model focuses on medical stabilization and treatment, followed by community-based care that provides peer-driven support and sustainability through connection. The purpose is to examine how recovery models aim to support those in recovery and pinpoint the ways they can integrate medical and social systems to meet client needs. Comparing the two will allow us to understand how each model supports sustained recovery and overall well-being. The question that will be researched in this study is: How do acute clinical treatment and community- based …

Employment Preferences Of Favela Residents, Mayara Felix, Beatriz Marcoje, Ieda Matavelli, Maria Clara Rodrigues Jan 2026

Employment Preferences Of Favela Residents, Mayara Felix, Beatriz Marcoje, Ieda Matavelli, Maria Clara Rodrigues

Cowles Foundation Discussion Papers

We document employment preferences of workers at the margin of informality using open-ended questions and discrete choice experiments in Brazil’s largest favela complex. Stated preferences emphasize pay and tangible job benefits rather than meaning or purpose, while primary complaints center on poor management, customers, and inflexible schedules. Workers exhibit high valuations for all formal sector amenities on average—unemployment insurance, parental leave, and termination notice—as well as for learning opportunities, but lower for non-formal sector amenities such as shorter commutes. Valuations vary systematically by employment sector in ways consistent with sorting: formal workers value formal amenities most, the self-employed value them …

The Keystone State Should Forge A New Path To Lawyer Licensure, Ashley M. London, Nachman Gutowski, Sarah J. Garrison, Steven Foster Jan 2026

The Keystone State Should Forge A New Path To Lawyer Licensure, Ashley M. London, Nachman Gutowski, Sarah J. Garrison, Steven Foster

Scholarly Works

Pennsylvania should reject the adoption of the NextGen bar examination and instead develop a new, state-specific pathway to lawyer licensure that better serves the needs of the legal profession and the public. The NextGen exam, designed by the National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE), introduces significant challenges, including its lack of transparency, inadequate preparation materials, and reliance on a rigid, memorization-heavy format. These deficiencies hinder equitable access to licensure, disproportionately affecting underrepresented groups and perpetuating systemic barriers within the profession.

Moreover, NextGen's failure to robustly address critical legal areas, such as trusts and estates, jeopardizes the ability of new lawyers …

The Path To Abundance: The Legal, Policy, And Political Challenges Of An Abundance Agenda, Eric Biber Jan 2026

The Path To Abundance: The Legal, Policy, And Political Challenges Of An Abundance Agenda, Eric Biber

William & Mary Environmental Law and Policy Review

A range of public intellectuals and academics have argued that America is increasingly unable to advance major projects, such as housing, renewable energy, and innovation, because of legal obstacles such as judicial review and regulatory requirements. In response, the abundance movement has called for legal reforms to speed up project development. The abundance movement has identified real problems that require solutions. Unfortunately, the movement also faces political and legal challenges as well. Reform will require difficult tradeoffs, which will be politically difficult. Abundance reforms will likely not be politically popular, and will be particularly hard to implement in a polarized …
