Improving Stakeholder Communications Practices: A Quantitative Study On The Relational Communication Between Clinical Research Coordinators And Research, Oreofeoluwa F. Adeniji Feb 2026

Improving Stakeholder Communications Practices: A Quantitative Study On The Relational Communication Between Clinical Research Coordinators And Research, Oreofeoluwa F. Adeniji

Harrisburg University Dissertations and Theses

Communication plays an essential part in the responsibilities of the clinical research coordinator’s position. Challenges in communicating with stakeholders during clinical trials can disrupt the study timeline, its outcomes, and the success of the trial. Clinical research coordinators often experience these challenges when interacting with internal stakeholders, such as principal investigators, and external stakeholders, including sponsors. This quantitative correlational study will examine whether clinical research coordinators can utilize project management communication practices to improve their stakeholder interactions. Data from 32 clinical research coordinators will be collected using SurveyMonkey and analyzed. The study results will fill gaps in the literature on …

Enhancing Risk Governance In Agile Settings: Toward An Integrated Agile Framework For Strategic Risk Alignment, Mohammed Shaik Feb 2026

Enhancing Risk Governance In Agile Settings: Toward An Integrated Agile Framework For Strategic Risk Alignment, Mohammed Shaik

Harrisburg University Dissertations and Theses

Agile project management is widely used in dynamic and regulated environments because of its adaptability and iterative delivery (Beck et al., 2001). However, Agile teams often rely on informal risk practices that may limit visibility into enterprise-level risks (Stare, 2014). In contrast, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks provide structured oversight aligned with strategic objectives (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission [COSO], 2017), yet they are frequently viewed as fast-paced project settings. This misalignment creates governance challenges for organizations operating in complex environments.

This study examined how Agile practices can be integrated with ERM frameworks to strengthen strategic risk …

The Role Of Stakeholder Management In The Adaptive Reuse Of Historic Buildings: Balancing Social, Economic, And Community Interests, Karina G. Iavarone Feb 2026

The Role Of Stakeholder Management In The Adaptive Reuse Of Historic Buildings: Balancing Social, Economic, And Community Interests, Karina G. Iavarone

Harrisburg University Dissertations and Theses

The adaptive reuse of historic buildings has emerged as a vital strategy for sustainable urban development. While such projects can preserve cultural heritage, revitalize communities, and stimulate economic growth, they often face significant challenges due to competing stakeholder priorities. The central problem addressed in this study is the lack of effective stakeholder management in adaptive reuse initiatives, which can result in project delays, inflated costs, and outcomes that overlook social sustainability.

The purpose of this qualitative, descriptive study was to explore how stakeholder management practices influence the success of adaptive reuse projects by balancing social, economic, and community interests. Three …

Purpose: In the previously completed NCI9673 (part A) single-arm study, the antiprogrammed death (PD)-ligand-1 antibody nivolumab demonstrated efficacy for patients with metastatic anal cancer. In NCI9673 (Part B), we evaluated the anticytotoxic T-cell lymphocyte antigen-4 (CTLA-4) antibody ipilimumab in combination with nivolumab for patients with incurable anal cancer.

Methods: In this phase II NCI ETCTN trial, 100 patients with refractory, incurable anal cancer were randomly assigned to receive nivolumab (480 mg IV once every 4 weeks) alone or with ipilimumab (1 mg/kg IV once every 8 weeks). The primary end point was progression-free survival (PFS). Secondary endpoints included radiographic response, …

Development Pathways And Strategies For Enhancing Resilience Of Underground Space In China’S Megacities, Xiangsheng Chen, Dong Su, Zezhou Wu, Kaihang Han, Xingtao Lin, Xiangpeng Cao, Weibin Chen

Bulletin of Chinese Academy of Sciences (Chinese Version)

As China’s urbanization enters the phase of enhancing quality and efficiency of existing assets, megacities are facing dual pressures of resource constraints and safety risks. Underground space, as a key carrier for urban resilience, holds urgent strategic significance for high-quality development. This study systematically analyzes the current status, challenges, and future trends of underground space development in China’s megacities, focusing on two core issues: “resilience enhancement of existing underground space” and “resilience-oriented development of deep underground space”. It proposes a systematic development path covering “digital base–intelligent platform–key technologies–collaborative governance”. The study emphasizes the need to comprehensively enhance the disaster prevention, …

Evaluating The Feasibility And Acceptability Of A Facilitator-Guided Wellness Initiative In A Residency Program, Alexander A. Missner, Jacob Gilbreth, Stacey Kaltman, Mayada Akil Feb 2026

Evaluating The Feasibility And Acceptability Of A Facilitator-Guided Wellness Initiative In A Residency Program, Alexander A. Missner, Jacob Gilbreth, Stacey Kaltman, Mayada Akil

Journal of Wellness

Introduction: Burnout in residency is a significant concern. There is an urgent need for feasible and transferable interventions that enhance resident well-being. Toward this end, we implemented a wellness intervention in a psychiatry residency program in 2019. Goals of the intervention included: 1) creating a safe space for sharing experiences in a supportive environment, 2) fostering group cohesion, and 3) addressing developmental challenges in training. We evaluated the feasibility and acceptability of the intervention.

Methods: This study utilized a mixed methods design. Following the 2022-2023 academic year, residents completed a survey examining their perceptions of how well the …

The Role Of Campus Symbols In College Student Belonging: A Photo-Elicitation And Photovoice Qualitative Study, Abigail W. Bradley-Tyler Feb 2026

The Role Of Campus Symbols In College Student Belonging: A Photo-Elicitation And Photovoice Qualitative Study, Abigail W. Bradley-Tyler

USF Tampa Graduate Theses and Dissertations

This qualitative study examines the impact of campus symbols on the sense of belonging among second-year students at a public, four-year institution in Florida. This topic is relevant as there is a lack of research about positive or neutral campus symbols. Using sense of belonging and symbolic interactionism as theoretical frameworks, this study investigates how students interpret and emotionally connect with university symbols, including campus mascots, monuments, personnel, and campus traditions and rituals. Using photo-elicitation and photovoice interviews, participants engaged with photographs of official university symbols and captured images representing their campus experience. Using Braun and Clarke’s thematic analysis, the …

Genetic Modifiers Of Apoe-Ε4-Associated Cognitive Decline, Alex G Contreras, Carlos Cruchaga, Et Al. Feb 2026

Genetic Modifiers Of Apoe-Ε4-Associated Cognitive Decline, Alex G Contreras, Carlos Cruchaga, Et Al.

2020-Current year OA Pubs

The APOE-ε4 allele is the strongest genetic risk factor for late-onset Alzheimer's disease. However, APOE-ε4 is not deterministic, highlighting the need to identify additional genetic and environmental factors. APOE-ε4 has been linked to accelerated cognitive decline, so we sought to investigate genetic factors that modify APOE-ε4-associated cognitive decline. We conduct cross-ancestry APOE-ε4-stratified and interaction GWAS using harmonized cognitive data from 32,778 participants, including 29,354 non-Hispanic White and 3,424 non-Hispanic Black individuals. Our primary outcome is late-life cognition, measured using harmonized composite scores for memory, executive function, and language, modeled as continuous traits reflecting both normative cognitive aging and disease-related decline. …
