Record High Room Temperature Resistance Switching In Ferroelectric-Gated Mott Transistors Unlocked By Interfacial Charge Engineering, Yifei Hao, Xuegang Chen, Le Zhang, Myung-Geun Han, Wei Wang, Yue-Wen Fang, Hanghui Chen, Yimei Zhu, Xia Hong

Department of Physics and Astronomy: Faculty Publications

The superior size and power scaling potential of ferroelectric-gated Mott transistors makes them promising building blocks for developing energyefficientmemory and logic applications in the post-Moore’s Law era. The close to metallic carrier density in the Mott channel, however, imposes the bottleneck for achieving substantial field effect modulation via a solid-state gate. Previous studies have focused on optimizing the thickness, charge mobility, and carrier density of single-layer correlated channels, which have only led to moderate resistance switching at room temperature. Here, we report a record high nonvolatile resistance switching ratio of 38,440% at 300 K in a prototype Mott transistor consisting …

Exploring China’S Response To The Rohingya Crisis: A Liberal Perspective, Changrui Yuan, Brice Tseen Fu Lee

Journal of Terrorism Studies

This paper examines China's response to the Rohingya crisis in Myanmar from a theoretical perspective, drawing on both liberal and Asian cultural values. The study adopts a qualitative approach and employs document analysis to collect data. The findings suggest that China's response to the crisis can be explained by the liberal values of interdependence, cooperation, and institutionalism, which have guided China's peaceful and cooperative approach to resolving the conflict. However, the study also reveals the importance of Asian cultural values, particularly empathy and save-face, in shaping China's diplomatic behavior towards the crisis. The paper argues that China's response to the …

Informal Practices Of Localizing Open Educational Resources In Ghana, Emily Durham Bradshaw, Jason K. Mcdonald

Faculty Publications

Research on the use of Open Educational Resources (OER) often notes the potential benefits for users to revise, reuse, and remix OER to localize it for specific learners. However, a gap in the literature exists in terms of research that explores how this localization occurs in practice. This is a significant gap given the current flow of OER from higher-income countries in the Global North to lower-income countries in the Global South (King et al., 2018). This study explores how OER from one area of the world is localized when it is used in a different cultural context.

Findings indicated …

Price-Setting Behavior In An Online Market, Fiskara Indawan, Aryo Sasongko, Dian Rahmawati

Bulletin of Monetary Economics and Banking

We study price-setting behavior in the Indonesian online market before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. We surveyed 297 online and offline markets dominated by micro and small enterprises (MSEs). The results show that the online market’s price-setting behaviors apply state-dependent pricing rules and price discrimination, evaluate prices more than once a year based on current information, and immediately respond to a shock. The main factor for price changes is input cost change. Meanwhile, price rigidities are influenced by implicit contracts. The probit model shows online markets face the high-competitive market, not applying a rule of thumb pricing, and frequently changing …
