Strengthening Open Data Infrastructure And Promoting Open Science, Huadong Guo, Hesheng Chen, Dongmei Yan, Jianhui Li, Gang Chen, Guojin He, Juncai Ma, Dong Liang, Lingyi Kong
Bulletin of Chinese Academy of Sciences (Chinese Version)
To promote economic development, social progress, and scientific and technological innovation, it is necessary to strengthen scientific cooperation and information sharing. Open data has emerged in response and become a seemingly inevitable development in the evolution of digital technology. Open data, however, must be supported by infrastructure composed of physical entities and virtual systems that meet the needs of data applications in many fields. Constructing and strengthening open data infrastructure should therefore be considered important objectives of information technology development. This study analyzes the elements of open data infrastructure and expounds its significant positive role in implementing open science. Based …

The ERDF/InterReg 2 Seas Mers Zeeën SeaBioComp project sought to develop durable bio-based composites for use in the marine environment. The long-term ecological impact of plastic litter and microplastics in the marine environment is a growing issue that has gained considerable momentum in public perception and global media. Bio-based polymers, or polymers from renewable resources, could be a viable substitute to conventional oil-based polymers for many applications. The change might significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions and has potential to ease end-of-life issues if the materials are biodegradable. One of the polymers of interest is poly(lactic acid), or poly(lactide) produced from …

Reciprocal altruism can often be modeled through the iterated Prisoner’s Dilemma game in which players take turns in the roles of donor and recipient. Several late studies were based on memory alteration in the repeated Prisoner’s Dilemma game. This prompted us to study this alteration in a strictly alternating iterated Prisoner’s Dilemma game. In our work, we represented the repeated games played by finite states of automata. Also, we supposed that there is relatedness between the players in this game. A relatedness average degree r considered between players, where 0 ≤ r ≤ 1. The effect of noise on the …
