Zenbrain: A Neuroscience-Inspired 7-Layer Memory Architecture For Autonomous Ai Systems (V7), Alexander Bering

Defensive Publications Series

ZenBrain is an open-source memory architecture for autonomous AI systems implementing seven distinct memory layers inspired by cognitive neuroscience: working, short-term, episodic, long-term, procedural, core, and predictive memory. A unified MemoryCoordinator integrates fifteen validated neuroscience mechanisms — nine foundational algorithms (vmPFC-coupled FSRS spaced repetition with prediction-error gating, two-factor synaptic Hebbian dynamics for knowledge graphs, simulation-selection sleep consolidation modeling hippocampal replay, Bayesian confidence propagation, compositional context embeddings, spectral knowledge-graph health monitoring, context-adaptive information-bottleneck budgeting, dual-process chain-of-thought consolidation, and iMAD selective debate) and six Predictive Memory Architecture (PMA) components: NeuromodulatorEngine (dopamine/norepinephrine/serotonin/acetylcholine tonic levels with phasic prediction-error bursts and opponent-process dynamics), ReconsolidationEngine (memory …

Recursive Constraint Topology Engines: A Non-Canonical Architecture For Scalable General Intelligence Beyond Agentic Paradigms, Johny Manuel-Devadoss, Deepthi Prasad May 2026

Recursive Constraint Topology Engines: A Non-Canonical Architecture For Scalable General Intelligence Beyond Agentic Paradigms, Johny Manuel-Devadoss, Deepthi Prasad

Defensive Publications Series

We propose Recursive Constraint Topology Engines (RCTE), a class of intelligence systems in which cognition emerges not from agents, policies, or explicit reward optimization, but from continuously deforming constraint manifolds in a high-dimensional semantic phase space. Unlike agent-based systems, RCTE replaces "actors" with constraint fields that self-interact, self-negate, and self-stabilize through topological recursion.

The key hypothesis is that general intelligence arises when a system ceases to represent knowledge as symbolic objects or policies, and instead operates entirely on evolving inconsistency surfaces whose geometry encodes reasoning itself.

This architecture is designed to:

  • eliminate discrete agent decomposition

  • remove centralized planners and shared …

Technical Disclosure: An Ai-Assisted Construction Document Authoring System Comprising A Process-Resident Tool Server, A Two-Tier Correction Propagation Mechanism, And An Autonomous Visual Quality Control Method, Eric Michael Chrabot, Charles Barrett Eastwood May 2026

Technical Disclosure: An Ai-Assisted Construction Document Authoring System Comprising A Process-Resident Tool Server, A Two-Tier Correction Propagation Mechanism, And An Autonomous Visual Quality Control Method, Eric Michael Chrabot, Charles Barrett Eastwood

Defensive Publications Series

Disclosed is an AI-assisted construction document authoring system in which a large language model (LLM) agent operates in conjunction with a computer-aided design (CAD) application to author drawings autonomously. The system addresses three problems that prior approaches do not adequately resolve: insufficient tool-surface depth for production-grade CAD authoring, lack of transactional integrity in multi-step authoring operations, and the inability to adapt model behavior to firm-specific drawing conventions without retraining.

The system comprises four interoperating components. First, a process-resident tool server is loaded into the CAD application's address space and exposes a plurality of named authoring endpoints to the LLM agent …

Framework For Autonomous Agent Resilience Via Self-Correcting Execution Loops, Michael Kochera May 2026

Framework For Autonomous Agent Resilience Via Self-Correcting Execution Loops, Michael Kochera

Defensive Publications Series

Autonomous agents in complex workflows can be unreliable, potentially failing due to semantic errors, for example, incorrect tool usage, model hallucinations, or malformed outputs, which may not be addressed by some system-level fault tolerance methods. A resilient agent framework can introduce self-correction loops at the individual agent-execution level. The framework may operate by intercepting and validating an agent's actions; if a failure is detected, it can provide structured, context-aware feedback, enabling the agent to use in-context learning to self-correct and retry its immediate task. This approach improves the reliability of autonomous agents by helping to resolve semantic errors, reducing a …

Asynchronous Execution Of Large Language Model Tool Calls Via Partial Argument Decoding, Florian Hartmann, Victor Carbune May 2026

Asynchronous Execution Of Large Language Model Tool Calls Via Partial Argument Decoding, Florian Hartmann, Victor Carbune

Defensive Publications Series

Tool calls in large language models are traditionally issued only after all arguments are fully decoded. This sequential process results in increased latency, particularly for tools requiring multiple parameters where some arguments are not immediately necessary for initial execution steps. This disclosure describes a method for the asynchronous execution of tool calls through partial argument decoding. Tools are decomposed into sub-tasks to identify the specific order and timing for each argument requirement. The model is trained to generate arguments in this optimized sequence. During inference, tool execution is initiated as soon as the first required arguments are decoded. Parallel processing …

The Use Of Video Laryngoscopy In Pregnant Women Undergoing Non-Obstetric Surgery, Samantha Gastaldo

Doctor of Nursing Practice Scholarly Projects

This quality improvement project looks at the proposed implementation of endotracheal intubation guidelines regarding pregnant patients undergoing non-obstetric surgery and how the use of video laryngoscopy versus the traditional practice will affect the first pass rate of the endotracheal tube intraoperatively. Statistics show that 2% of women undergo non-obstetric related surgery during pregnancy. Physiological changes during pregnancy, including increased laryngeal mucosa swelling and higher metabolic oxygen consumption, result in a heightened risk of apnea and hypoxemia during intubation. Pregnant women experience an eightfold higher incidence of failed intubation compared to non-pregnant populations. The number of patients classified as Mallampati 4 …

Leading A School District During The Covid-19 Pandemic, Teresa M. Murphy Phd May 2026

Leading A School District During The Covid-19 Pandemic, Teresa M. Murphy Phd

Educational Studies Dissertations

The COVID-19 pandemic altered the conditions of district leadership and required superintendents to make high-stakes decisions amid uncertainty, public scrutiny, and sustained operational disruption. Although scholarship on educational crisis leadership has expanded, fewer studies center superintendents’ own accounts of the knowledge, skills, and conditions that shaped their leadership during COVID-19, and its professional impact. This phenomenological study examined district-level crisis leadership during the first two years of the pandemic, with attention to crisis problem solving, role isolation, crisis communication, and superintendent sustainability. Three research questions guided the study: (1) What knowledge and skills did superintendents perceive necessary for leading during …

Nails In The Confederacy's Coffin: The Wilson Raid And The End Of The Civil War, Chad A. Bowen May 2026

Nails In The Confederacy's Coffin: The Wilson Raid And The End Of The Civil War, Chad A. Bowen

History

Over the course of this thesis, I argue that the Wilson Raids of March-April 1865 played a decisive role in ending the Civil War and beyond it. With this raid, Wilson denied the Confederacy access to the last of its major industrial cities, forcing the Confederate government to concede defeat. The raid, however, faded into the background both due to the proximity of the events to the end of the war and the lack of reporting conducted on the operations. This led to the rise of two groups that sought to deliberately misinterpret events to garner support for Southern writers …

Speaking Of Language: The Relationship Between Language As Capital And Minority Language Education, Alex J. Zelaya May 2026

Speaking Of Language: The Relationship Between Language As Capital And Minority Language Education, Alex J. Zelaya

Politics Honors Papers

The future of minority languages not only depends on intergenerational transmission but also on support for immersive instruction in minority languages within the educational system. This paper examines the factors that influence support for minority language education, arguing that language policy is shaped by societal attitudes, which in turn reflect dynamics of power. The paper draws upon Pierre Bourdieu’s conceptualization of different types of capital, including his theory on the relationship between economic, social, cultural and symbolic capital. Within this framework, language functions as a form of capital, reflecting and reinforcing social and economic stratification by conveying status or stigma. …

Taking Off The Mask: Development Of A Role Method For Late-Diagnosed Neurodivergent Women, Maria Moutzalias May 2026

Taking Off The Mask: Development Of A Role Method For Late-Diagnosed Neurodivergent Women, Maria Moutzalias

Expressive Therapies Theses

Neurodivergent women are frequently underdiagnosed, misdiagnosed, or late diagnosed due to gender differences and the prevalence of masking. Masking is the unintentional or intentional suppression of neurodiverse traits to present more neurotypical. Consequences of long-term masking can include increased risk of anxiety, depression, and burnout. This study explores the potential of drama therapy as a modality to support unmasking and increasing self-esteem in neurodivergent adult women. Drawing on existing literature on neurodiversity, masking, and drama therapy, a two staged role-based intervention was developed and implemented within a six weeklong psychotherapy group for five late diagnosed neurodivergent women. All participants were …

Reclaiming Identity, Vu Do

Expressive Therapies Theses

This study explores how narrative-informed art therapy supports identity, emotional expression, and social connection among older adults living with early-stage dementia. Traditional talk-based therapies often rely on verbal communication and memory recall, which can limit their effectiveness for individuals experiencing cognitive decline. Art therapy offers a nonverbal, sensory, and visual modality that allows for expression beyond language, while narrative therapy emphasizes meaning-making, identity, and the reauthoring of personal stories. Using a qualitative, narrative-informed art therapy approach, this study followed one older adult diagnosed with early-stage dementia across five sessions involving art-based directives and reflective dialogue. Data was collected through session …

How Can Art Therapy Intergenerational Groups Support Fostering Connections For Individuals With Memory Loss?, Clara Drew May 2026

How Can Art Therapy Intergenerational Groups Support Fostering Connections For Individuals With Memory Loss?, Clara Drew

Expressive Therapies Theses

This thesis explores the question: How can art therapy intergenerational groups support fostering connections for individuals with memory loss? In the study conducted, there were two separate groups, family-based and community volunteer-based. Both included residents of a memory care community. Through the process of this study, a total of seven groups were conducted. These groups explored art activities that focused on fostering connection through sensory and collaborative art processes. The study noted changes in the residents' moods, level of engagement, collaboration and socialization, and post-group affect throughout the day. While the focus was observing these factors for memory care residents, …
