A Review Of On Ethnography: Keeping Theory And Method In Balance, Jan S. Chenail

The Qualitative Report

On Ethnography: Approaches to Language and Literacy Research written by Shirley Brice Heath and Brian V. Street with Molly Mills is an overview of theory and practices of ethnography as used in language and literacy research. Drs. Heath and Street draw upon their extensive backgrounds as they explain how to plan, implement, and make public an ethnographic study. The Evolution Of Property Rights: A Synthetic Overview, James E. Krier Nov 2008

The Evolution Of Property Rights: A Synthetic Overview, James E. Krier

Law & Economics Working Papers Archive: 2003-2009

In this paper I review, extend, and critique two contrasting approaches to the evolution of property rights. The legal literature on the subject is dominated by a conventional approach, which holds a virtual monopoly despite its many shortcomings, and the literature neglects an alternative approach, despite its many virtues (including, but not limited to, the virtue of responding to many of the conventional approach’s deficiencies). The paper provides an overview of both approaches, including a brief intellectual history of each – and should thus inform readers without specialized knowledge of the subject but nevertheless interested in it – and aims …

Fort St. Joseph Archaeological Project Annual Report, 2007-08, Michael S. Nassaney

Fort St. Joseph Archaeological Project

This past year (September 1, 2007 through August 31, 2008) was arguably the most productive for the Fort St. Joseph Archaeological Project since the site was initially identified on the ground by Western Michigan University archaeologists in 1998. The project has become one of the premier public archaeology programs in the Midwest, guided by the philosophy of community service learning in which students provide a community service and learn through civic engagement. Investigations and interpretations have spawned a number of significant recent developments.
