Motion Pictures In Education, S. O. Opsahl

Bachelors’ Theses

Schools have long been in existence but until . recent years little has been done to attempt to adapt them to the interests and needs of children so as to better fit them to take their place in the work of the world. As this purpose of education has been coming into prominence, methods for accomplishing it have brought many problems before the educators. Changes in methods of teaching, enrichment of the courses of study, and the extension of equipment for teaching, are factors which have been brought forward toward forwarding the real purposes of education.

Archaeological Finds In Northeastern Utah, Albert B. Reagan

Proceedings of the Iowa Academy of Science

The main centers of ancient occupation in this area, so far as investigations now show, are Ashley and Dry Fork Valleys and the Brush Creek-Greendale region, near Vernal, Nine Mile (Minnie Maud Creek) Canyon, east of Price, and Hill Canyon, forty miles south of Ouray (including some sites on Willow Creek and along Green River). Foreword: Can The Lutheran Bodies Of America Get Together?, P. E. Kretzmann

Concordia Theological Monthly

A layman writes to the Lutheran of October 6, 1932: ''Have enjoyed the series of four articles on 'Lutheran Union' as presented from four different viewpoints. However, your editorial remarks concerning the above were quite disappointing to me in as far as you do not seem to like 'free conferences.' How will we Lutherans ever get together if we refuse to confer with one another? Surely a free conference is a good beginning. Differences will crop out of course, but must be honestly faced by all. Personal Adornment Of The Ancient Pueblo Indians, Winifred Stamm Reiter Jan 1933

Personal Adornment Of The Ancient Pueblo Indians, Winifred Stamm Reiter

Anthropology ETDs

When man first struck stone with other stone in conscious effort to change its shape, he first gave expression to the creative impulse that was instinct within him. During the ages that followed he, forced by necessity, directed that impulse into purely utilitarian channels. His need were food and shelter and he was so preoccupied with obtaining them and with devising objects which would help in their attainment that he had no time or need for anything else…. When his material comforts were assured; when he had a satisfactory, well concealed cave to live in, a sufficiency of meat on …
