Analytical Study On Unsteady Flow Of A Hyperbolic Tangent Fluid In Existence Of Porous Media Of An Exponentially Stretched Sheet With Heat Transfer, Nidhal M. Abd Alameer, Sundos Bader, Fatima K. Abdullah
Baghdad Science Journal
The unsteady flow of a tangential hyperbolic fluid with temperature in the presence of a sublimation medium and an exponential surface was discussed in this article. The law of conservation of mass, energy, and momentum is essential to the model of matter. To make it easier to identify solutions, the partial equations were converted into ordinary equations. We refer to this approach as the homotopic method. To explain the results, the Mathematica program was used to find the solutions and graphically depict them. The impact of the parameters on velocity, temperature was discussed, which are Random motion factor (Nb …

Performance Analysis Of Bulk Queueing Systems With Inspection, Two Rework Cycles And Multiple Vacations, R. Lokesh, S. Karpagam, Gopal Kumar Gupta
Baghdad Science Journal
In a production system, rework plays a key role in reducing waste and efficiently managing manufacturing costs. The proposed model addresses a system with batch arrivals, a single server, and a two-stage bulk service with inspection, two rework cycles, and multiple vacations. First, batches are processed in stage 1, some of which may require rework during the same cycle, albeit with a certain probability, while others proceed to stage 2. After stage 2, batches are inspected, and if evidence of nonconformities is found, they are reworked with a certain probability. After inspection or rework, batches are processed according to the …

Effect Of Lanthanum Additive On The Structural, Magnetic, And Morphological Properties Of LaXNi1-XFe2O4 Ferrite Prepared By Sol-Gel Method, Awattif A. Mohammed, Farah T. M. Noori
Baghdad Science Journal
Spinel ferrites are valued for their tunable electrical and magnetic properties. Rare-earth substitution, such as with La3+, is known to modify their cation distribution and magnetic interaction. In this study, LaxNi1-xFe2O4 nanoparticles (x = 0.0, 0.5, 0.7, and 0.9) were synthesized via the sol-gel method. Their properties were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM), and field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM). XRD confirmed a single-phase cubic spinel structure for all compositions. A gradual peak shift with increasing La3+ content indicated lattice expansion, attributable to the larger ionic radius …

Synergistic Photodetectors Based On Sno2/Si With Cnts Via Vacuum Thermal Evaporation, Sozan A. Hassan, Walla M. Mohammd, Mohanad Q. Kareem, Kawkab D. Salim
Baghdad Science Journal
This study presents a precision-engineered carbon nanotube (CNT)-doped SnO2/Si heterojunction photodetector, wherein interfacial physics governs performance beyond individual material capabilities. Stepwise CNT loadings (0, 0.03, and 0.07 wt.%) were deposited by vacuum thermal evaporation to systematically reconstruct the crystallographic, morphological and band-alignment landscape. A-sure X-ray diffraction demonstrates that the rutile phase remains, and atomic force microscopy and scanning electron microscopy confirm grain passivation at the nanoscale. High sub-bandgap light sensitivity can be achieved, benefiting from the built-in field-assisted carrier separation at the SnO2/Si interface, whereby the redshifted absorption edge is indicative of intentional bandgap engineering. CNT …

For species extirpated from the wild, ex situ breeding programs are essential for providing the individuals necessary for re-establishing wild populations through reintroductions. However, repeated exposure to humans under managed care may reduce wariness and alter behavioral responses in ways that are maladaptive after release. Although some pre-release behaviors reflect natural responses essential for survival and reproduction, others may result from habituation to humans and increase the risk of conflict, recapture, or mortality following translocation. These risks underscore the need for behavioral assessments to help identify appropriate candidates for release. However, because the assessments themselves require some exposure to humans, …

The Thai Journal of Veterinary Medicine
Bullfighting is a cultural activity in southern Thailand. Bulls walk and undergo intensive exercise before competition. In the arena, winners are determined by their opponents' surrender, so bulls do not die after fighting. However, there are very few studies on organ injuries in living bulls during these activities. This study compared the effects of walking and intensive exercise on complete blood count (CBC) and blood chemistry. Blood parameters of 14 Thai fighting bulls aged over 6 years, regularly trained for walking and intensive exercise, were measured and analyzed using a paired t-test or Wilcoxon signed-rank test. Eosinophils decreased significantly after …

Past The Watchful Dragons: How C. S. Lewis’S Fiction Humanizes The Analytical Framework Of The Problem Of Pain, Charlotte L. Hambrick
Masters Theses
C. S. Lewis was one of the 20th century’s greatest Christian apologists. Writing across multiple genres—from academic literary criticism to lay sermons, and from philosophical and theological analysis to several kinds of fiction—his impact on Christian thought remains profound. This thesis analyzes Lewis’s approach to the intellectual problem of evil in The Problem of Pain and demonstrates how he makes those starkly cold, prickly concepts more warm, human, and relatable in several of his works of fiction. It will first consider Lewis’s personal history with death, abuse, war, and grief, showing how his lived experiences with pain shaped his thinking …
Co-Dominion: The Changing Nature Of The Adamic Covenant In An Age Of Artificial Intelligence, Corey Hastings
Co-Dominion: The Changing Nature Of The Adamic Covenant In An Age Of Artificial Intelligence, Corey Hastings
Masters Theses
Theologians and religious bodies attest to the rising influence of artificial intelligence (AI) in governments, the economy, and the lives of the people of God. Through the covenant with Adam, God gave humans the blessing of dominion and capabilities unique to creation to till the earth. Today, humans retain the image of God but AI increasingly displaces human functions with coordinated agency. Using Hebrew language exegesis of passages from Genesis, Exodus, and Leviticus, this study compares capabilities gifted to humans with the scope of current and near future AI models. It incorporates direct artifact analysis of a large-language model as …

Economic Growth, Animal Welfare And The Future Of Farming, Andrew Rowan Dphil
Economic Growth, Animal Welfare And The Future Of Farming, Andrew Rowan Dphil
WellBeing News
As countries become wealthier, rising incomes drive greater consumption of meat and other animal products while encouraging a transition from extensive livestock production to intensive farming systems. Although agricultural innovation has improved land-use efficiency and reduced pressure on forests in many regions, concerns persist about animal welfare, aquaculture and the environmental impact of pet food production. Consumer demand, corporate commitments and technological advances—including cage-free housing, in ovo sexing and alternative proteins—are gradually reducing some forms of animal suffering and may ultimately reshape the future of animal agriculture.

Sovereign Borders: John’S Deuteronomic Framework For Israel And The Nations In The Apokalypsis, Kevin W. Mullen
Sovereign Borders: John’S Deuteronomic Framework For Israel And The Nations In The Apokalypsis, Kevin W. Mullen
Doctoral Dissertations and Projects
This dissertation concludes that John’s imagery of Israel and the nations in the Apokalypsis is distinctly shaped by his interpretation and incorporation of Deuteronomic theology. It employs a canonical and intertextual approach to inductively argue that Deuteronomy presents three pillars, or roles, for biblical nationhood: (1) objects of and instruments for divine judgment, (2) custodians to restrain evil, and (3) revelations of God’s sovereignty. These three Deuteronomic pillars establish the foundation for biblical nationhood and are expressed by John throughout his Apokalypsis. Moreover, this dissertation concludes that John’s imagery for the nations is due to his reliance upon the Deuteronomic …

As China rises as a global power, it confronts an international legal order historically shaped by Western actors. In response, China has adopted a dual strategy: engaging with existing institutions while building “parallel institutions” to advance its influence. This paper examines the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO) as a case study of this strategy and analyzes how China seeks to reshape international dispute resolution. Drawing on original empirical data—including 85 interviews with arbitrators, users, officials, and legal experts—this paper provides the first comprehensive analysis of ICDPASO’s strategic motivations, governance model, dispute resolution mechanisms, and user perceptions. We …
Digital Presence In Live Hybrid Performance, Luke Cargill
Digital Presence In Live Hybrid Performance, Luke Cargill
Dartmouth College Master’s Theses
This thesis examines how digital presence, the sense that a digital performer is socially and performatively "there," is designed and tested in live hybrid performance. Drawing on four practice-based projects (Vicarious, Voltage, Vicarious: Encore Edition, and SUPER BLOOM), the first phase identifies a recurring but empirically untested claim: that digital presence depends on interactivity and co-presence with live performers, though these factors were always entangled in practice.
The second phase tests this claim directly. A new mini-performance, featuring the first fully AI-driven digital character in this line of work, was produced for controlled comparison. Using a 3 (intro type: AI-driven, …

Mobilizing The Church For Whole-Person Transformation In Addiction And Mental Health Recovery, Jacqueline A. Gillespie
Mobilizing The Church For Whole-Person Transformation In Addiction And Mental Health Recovery, Jacqueline A. Gillespie
Doctoral Dissertations and Projects
Individuals experiencing chronic addiction or mental health conditions are often separated from the broader church community and placed into isolated treatment programs, creating a disconnect between recovery efforts and long-term spiritual formation (Amos, 2023). Many churches that emphasize deliverance struggle to provide sustained discipleship, while congregations grounded in spiritual growth frequently lack the skills and structures needed to serve highly vulnerable populations. This mixed–methods study will explore how the local church can be mobilized to offer whole-person transformation for individuals affected by addiction and mental health challenges. Guided by the biblical vision of ongoing spiritual renewal—“being transformed into the same …
How Stress In Pastors May Contribute To Their Resignations, Roger Allen Cooper
How Stress In Pastors May Contribute To Their Resignations, Roger Allen Cooper
Doctoral Dissertations and Projects
Throughout history, congregations have connected with and sought guidance from spiritual leaders. Spiritual leaders develop methods and teachings to aid congregants; however, these leaders often don’t receive the care they give others. Are they not also part of the congregation? It is often assumed that a leader has it all together, but this is not always true. There are many instances of pastors leaving their calling prematurely, although the reason is not always defined. General reasons are often expressed to ease the contention between members or prevent hurting their feelings. Regardless, the result is the same, and there is an …
