Flexible work arrangements are becoming more prominent after the Covid-19 pandemic. These flexible work arrangements, including flextime and flexplace structures, better allow for working individuals to find a work-life balance and have been shown to improve morale and productivity. However, previous studies have found that gender biases impact the utilization of flexible work arrangements as well as the attitudes and perceptions towards those who employ them. As a result of the pandemic, many stakeholders in HEIs have experienced burnout and work fatigue, specifically, contingent/adjunct faculty. Contingent/adjunct faculty comprise a majority of faculty who serve students in colleges and universities across the country.

This capstone project focuses on educating 5th grade students about nutrition. Three lessons were presented in a span of two days where students learned terms specified behind a food label. Some terms include Calorie, Carbohydrate, Proteins, Fats, and high sugar foods. Students learned about healthy portion sizes, the five different food groups, and why physical activity is important for your health. With the curriculum presented to the students I hope all students can use these lessons to make healthier decisions when it comes to their food and health. By doing so it can be a start to a healthier lifestyle.

Middle school students with learning disabilities face a higher risk of being targets of bullying compared to their peers without learning disabilities due to challenges in developing social skills. Bullying behaviors peak at the age of 14, potentially inflicting lasting psychological harm and endangering the student's well being into adulthood. The concept of library anxiety was introduced by Constance Mellon in 1986. Since then, studies have attempted to shed light upon this phenomenon to mitigate the feelings of apprehension students may feel when utilizing the academic library space or when seeking the professional help of librarians. This literature review examines the literature and, specifically, discusses whether it is possible to configure the physical library space in a more inviting way. It highlights sociology of space theories as well as concepts behind the fast casual movement employed by the restaurant industry as possible routes to improvement.

Food Literacy promotes the way people should consciously think about the food we ingest on a day-to-day basis. This paper explores how teachers can positively teach students how to be literate when it comes to food and how students can apply these learnings towards their English subject matter skills. This paper also explores how children from all economic backgrounds seek out highly processed foods (such as fast food) which are filled with various chemicals and additives, which in turn, can affect students' performance within the classroom in an negative manner.

Purpose

Post-stroke pain has been identified as a significant challenge for individuals experiencing a stroke. Occupational therapists play a crucial role in the complex treatment of post-stroke pain but often face challenges due to a lack of self-efficacy in implementing treatments for stroke-related pain. This project’s purpose was to,1) to identify which teaching methods are effective for increasing clinical self-efficacy in doctoral occupational therapy students for implementing pain management treatment for individuals’ post-stroke and 2) to increase reported clinical self-efficacy levels among these students following the completion of a pain management educational program for stroke pain.

AimTo assess student nurses understanding and skills in the application of antimicrobial stewardship knowledge to practice.DesignQuantitative.MethodsCross-sectional survey.ResultsFive hundred and twenty three student nurses responded across 23 UK universities. Although students felt prepared in competencies in infection prevention and control, patient-centred care and interprofessional collaborative practice, they felt less prepared in competencies in which microbiological knowledge, prescribing and its effect on antimicrobial stewardship is required. Problem-based learning, activities in the clinical setting and face-to-face teaching were identified as the preferred modes of education delivery. Sexual socialization is the process by which people learn about their sexual desires and identity. This paper displays the process of sexual socialization as it specifically relates to the youth in the United States. The need for authority on the matter of LGBTQ+ beliefs is established through a biblical worldview. The gap between the church and gender and sexual minority youth is wide, and the problem must be addressed. The author then provides a process and set of beliefs that any youth minister should hold if they desire to aid LGBTQ+ students.

This study examines the media literacy and critical thinking levels of students of West African higher educational institutions as tools for combating misinformation in the sub-region. Data analysis using the mediation approach revealed differences in students' understanding of media literacy and critical thinking and partially predicted their efficacy in combating misinformation. This stems largely from a misunderstanding of media literacy and critical thinking concepts as tools, as well as a lack of adequate provision for teaching the concepts and considering them as strategic tools for combating misinformation in the region. As climate change intensifies, harsh environmental conditions, such as increased drought and salt levels, will cause significant challenges to agricultural productivity globally. Plants are naturally sensitive to stress but have evolved mechanisms that play a crucial role in regulating plant responses to environmental stress. However, the adaptations occurring may not be quick enough to ensure the long-term survivability or production of our agricultural system. Abscisic acid (ABA) is a hormone that allows plants to tolerate dry and salty conditions by causing stomatal closure and triggering a temporary dormancy.
