The aim of this study is to find out the level of self-esteem of students and how effective rational emotive behavioral counselling is to increase self-esteem. Quantitative research using pre-experiment, one group pretest posttest design. The study involved 32 students as a population, with 5 students who had low self-esteem as a sample. Purposive sampling method is used to obtain samples. The results show the self-esteem level of State Middle School 1 students Sumbergempol is in the lowest category of 10 (31%), medium 16 (50%), and high 6 (19%). This research aims to determine the contribution of learning interest, self-efficacy, peer support, and learning motivation to students’ learning independence. Employing a correlational research design, the study involved 100 students from two different junior high schools located in Malang, Indonesia. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire designed to measure each of the variables. The analysis revealed that each of the factors learning interest, self-efficacy, peer support, and learning motivation significantly contributes to students' learning independence. Academic dishonesty has become a pervasive issue among students, often driven by environmental and social pressures and facilitated by opportunities such as the use of digital devices (e.g., smartwatches) that enable misconduct. The aim of the current study was to examine the associations between academic dishonesty and variables including class attendance, self-efficacy, and the use of digital learning methods. Designing an undergraduate research experience in which all team members can meaningfully contribute and experience growth can be challenging, especially for virtual teams working across institutions. For two years, the authors worked remotely as a team that included several undergraduate researchers in a highly involved research project. Through the partnership, the two principal investigators on the project were able to involve more undergraduates in research than they could individually, using a mentoring model that drew on Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles to ensure students had opportunities for intellectual involvement in the research process. Problem Statement: In medical education, learner assessment drives learning and documents competency. A drawback of the traditional clinical performance assessment by a preceptor, however, is a potential halo effect. This effect is an unearned positive bias toward a student the supervisor likes, or conversely, a negative implicit bias about the student’s race, gender, or other aspects of identity. These biases, in either direction, can lead to unfair grading. A preceptor’s bias can be particularly problematic in a family medicine clerkship in which a student may be evaluated and graded by a single preceptor.

This poem explores the shifting rhythms of attention as both a challenge and a gift in the life of a student of medicine. It illuminates the path toward knowledge and healing. Woven into its lines is the tension between effort and rest, intellect and care, science and humanity. The imagery of fire and thread reflects how learning is not only about the consumption of information, but also the shaping of character. Ultimately, the poem affirms that rest, presence, and attention are not distractions from becoming a healer, but integral to the art of it.

Admission into a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program requires students to meet specific criteria including a non-negotiable set of technical standards. Technical standards encompass physical abilities including twisting, bending, and handling objects of varying weights (Good Samaritan College of Nursing and Health Science, n.d.). While physical capabilities may hold significance in bedside nursing, the American Nurses Association does not establish specific physical qualifications (American Nurses Association, 2010). Due to admission criteria and technical standards, individuals with disabilities are rarely found among career nurses and nursing students (Leslie & Miller, 2020).

The Association Between Condom Use Self-Efficacy And Condom-Decision Abdication Among College Students, Mikaela Gjoka, Madison K Firkey, Alan Z Sheinfil, Sarah E Woolf-King

Objective: Condomless sex and its related consequences are a persistent problem on college campuses in the United States. This study aimed to examine the association between condom use self-efficacy and condom-decision abdication among college students, and whether this association was moderated by gender.

Participants & methods: Undergraduate college students (N = 212; 50.5% female) were recruited via Amazon Mechanical Turk as part of a larger online study that examined normative feedback for condom use.

Results: The association between condom use self-efficacy and condom-decision abdication was significantly moderated by gender (B = -0.07, p < .001), such that condom use self-efficacy was associated with condom-decision abdication in college women (B = -0.05, p < .005) but not in college men (B = .02, p = .18).

The mental health of Black adolescents is a growing concern, with high prevalence rates of internalizing disorders such as anxiety and depression. National studies report that nearly 47% of Black adolescents experience a mental health disorder by age 18, with over 60% reporting moderate to severe depressive symptomology. Despite these alarming rates, Black youth underutilize mental health services, often due to cultural stigma, limited access to culturally competent care, and under-recognition of their mental health needs.
