Nell Roberts was born on May 2, 1886, in Harriman, Tennessee. She attended Belmont College for Young Women during the 1904-1906 school years. After school, she married Charles W. Whitcomb and became a homemaker. The pair that three children: James, Dorothy, and Mary. Sadly, Nell died after an operation on January 7, 1929. Her husband would pass on March 28, 1959.

This is the 22nd Volume in the College of Wooster's Index collection, published by members of the Junior Class representing the Greek Letter fraternities at the university. It is stated that this volume is dedicated to Louis Edward Holden, the then President of the College of Wooster. The 1903 Index begins with a greetings to readers, and then moves into information of the trustees and faculty.
