Ec-Funded Mine Action In Latin America Volume 2 - Country Reports, Russell Gasser
Global CWD Repository
The EC Anti-Personnel Landmine Regulation of 2001 mandated evaluations of EC Mine Action strategy every three years. The first report was a Global Evaluation published in 2005, but this report forms one part of the 2008 evaluation by regions and covers Latin America, 2002-2007.

In particular it targets the status of the country's energy independence, the source of energy sources and the distribution of consumption; the level of access to energy resources and delivery standards; conservation actions and control of environmental effects; and the incentives to stimulate the energy market. It also promotes research and development operations of renewable energy resources available in …

Experiences, Attitudes And Beliefs About Interpersonal Violence: A Study On Costa Rican Adolescents, Monica Mendez
Electronic Theses and Dissertations
Research in Latin America regarding interpersonal violence and adolescents is rare if not nonexistent. In a collaborative effort with the Costa Rican Ministry of Education and the National Institute of Women (INAMU), qualitative data were collected from three high schools and one after-school program from rural and urban locations of the Central Valley. The discussion groups/open-ended questionnaires were done with a total of 154 students ranging from ages 14 to 17 and grade levels 8th to 12th. Information was obtained concerning students' perceptions, definitions and opinions on issues relating to interpersonal violence and gender roles and rules. The results show …
