Kajian ini berlandaskan kaedah penyelidikan lapangan dan perpustakaan yang menggunakan analisis kualitatif deskriptif adalah bertujuan untuk mengetahui sumbangan Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP) dalam penerbitan karya hadith di Malaysia. Bagi mencapai objektif tersebut, kajian ini dibahagikan kepada enam bab, iaitu Bab Pendahuluan yang menjelaskan berkenaan perkara asas kajian, bab pertama menerangkan mengenai Sejarah Penerbitan Karya Hadith di Malaysia, bab kedua menghuraikan Sejarah Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, bab ketiga menjelaskan Karya Hadith Terbitan Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka sebanyak 16 buah karya. It is the task of this paper to argue that the development of a new Qurʾān-sunna hermeneutic(and therefore Islamic legal theory) which hermeneutically privileges an ethico-religious and purposive approach to a Qurʾānic interpretation (based on ethically objectivist nature of ethical value) has the potential to engender a gender symmetrical Islamic law. The global war on terror (GWOT) and the battles with specific Islamist groups is, to some degree, a war of ideas.
