Am I Too Fat? Bulimia As An Epidemic, Christopher Kribs, Beverly Gonzalez, Emilia Huerta-Sanchez, Angela Ortiz-Nieves, Terannie Vazquez-Alvarez

For at least the past ten years, eating disorders have had a major impact in the physical and mental health of women, particularly young women. Anorexia and bulimia nervosa are closely linked eating disorders. Anorexia often precedes bulimia. However, there are about 2 million women in college that have been exclusively bulimic. In this article, we focus on the role of college-peer pressure on the dynamics of anorexia-free bulimia. The model looks at bulimia as a progressive disease and explores the impact of intervention (treatment) at two stages of disease progression. Improving The Nclex Passage Rate And Lowering The Attrition Rate For A Texas Community College Nursing Program, Bonnie Higgins

This applied dissertation was designed to seek ways to improve the NCLEX-RN passage rate and to lower the attrition rate in a community college nursing program. The program had a significant problem because of the decrease in passage rate of the NCLEX-RN by graduating students and an increase in student attrition. Expost facto data were collected from 213 former nursing student records to compare the independent variables of preadmission test scores, academic prerequisites grades, demographic traits, HESI exit exam scores, and grades in the Nursing Skills Course to the completion of the nursing program and passage of the NCLEX-RN. The Web Magazine
The Web Magazine focuses on alumni news and campus events from Gardner-Webb College; now Gardner-Webb University. Graduates at GWU hit record numbers and an honor doctorate highlight is in store during the May Graduation. Many of the faculty members are recognized for things such as, the nursing program and its origins, the third chair is announced, and the 'Heritage Award' recognizes Wade Sheppard. GWU also opened up a Charlotte campus which offers the GOAL program to adults. More graduates share their personal anecdotes on their experiences while at GWU.
