Sexual And Reproductive Health And Rights (Srhr) In Climate Policies And Frameworks, Regenerate Africa, Population Council, Msi Reproductive Choices, Margaret Pyke Trust
Climate and Environmental Changes
The integration of SRHR—a cornerstone of women and girls’ empowerment—and human rights, has been recognised by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), among others, as a fundamental pathway to climate resilient development and as an important multi-sectoral approach to climate adaptation and resilience building for individuals and communities. This document compiles several country experiences of integrating SRHR into climate policies and frameworks, thus responding to the urgent need to understand the experiences of countries that have made progress, ensure scaling up and accountability regarding these important commitments to improve the lives of women and girls in the face of …

Reproductive Health Education In Ghana: Perspectives Of School Health Education Programme (Shep) Coordinators, Population Council, Msi Reproductive Choices, Ghana Education Service, Ghana Health Service
Sexual and Reproductive Health, Rights, and Choices
Schools in Ghana have integrated reproductive health education (RHE) topics into their curricula and School Health Education Programme (SHEP) Coordinators recognize the importance of RHE. However, for RHE to reach its full potential, it needs to be established as a stand-alone subject. This study highlights the challenges and opportunities in delivering in-school RHE, underscoring the interplay between policy frameworks, implementation strategies, and locally accepted approaches.

National Training Manual For Para Social Workers, Ministry Of Gender Labour And Social Development, Republic Of Uganda
Humanitarian Task Force
Para social workers have become an integral part of Uganda’s social support system. Operating at the grassroots level, often in remote and underserved communities, these individuals provide critical services to vulnerable children, youth, families, and communities in need of support. In the face of limited professional human resources in the social welfare sector, Para Social Workers fill a vital gap, extending the reach of formal systems and ensuring that no one is left behind. This revised edition of the manual reflects the evolving nature of community and social work practice in Uganda. It incorporates new practical tools, and evidence-based approaches …

Eng 110 Language And Literacy Narrative And Rhetorical Analysis, Catrina E. Vininski, Missy Watson
Open Educational Resources
The assignment gives students the option to either write a narrative based on their own experience with language and literacy, utilizing aspects of the rhetorical situation, or write a rhetorical analysis based on a text of their choice while applying the rhetorical situation. Both options include an overview of the assignment, along with requirements and a rubric. This is intended to be taught in the middle of the semester, after the instructor has already thoroughly explained the rhetorical situation and students have been given the opportunity to apply their learning.

An Interdisciplinary Unit For Today's Learners: Integrating Science, English, And Art To Teach Climate Change, Sydney M. Ruby-Pasternak
Graduate Student Theses, Dissertations, & Professional Papers
As today’s global challenges grow increasingly complex, interdisciplinary thinking is essential for students to make meaningful connections in their learning. Despite this need, high school students continue to have educational experiences in one-subject classrooms, often preventing them from engaging in integrated learning models. This professional project addresses the gap by developing a five-week interdisciplinary unit titled Brushstrokes of Change, which combines climate science with English language arts and visual arts to amplify student understanding of climate change concepts. This unit was designed for grades 9-12 and prioritizes 21st-Century skills in critical thinking, communication, creativity, and collaboration through …

Journal of Educational Technology Development and Exchange (JETDE)
In Sarawak, Malaysia, many children come from multicultural backgrounds and are predominantly non-native English speakers making preschool education essential for developing early literacy skills in English. However, high teacher-child ratios can impede effective learning. The READi system—a module-based, multisensory, web-based early literacy intervention—was introduced as a supplementary classroom tool to address this challenge. This pilot study specifically evaluated the effectiveness of the "Alphabet Adventure" module within the READi system on enhancing alphabet knowledge, with a focus on letter recognition and letter name knowledge. The research design employed a pretest-posttest control group approach grounded in the positivist paradigm. [YT1] Participants were …
