This study examines how the evolution of bilingual education policies and instruction has affected non-English speaking and bilingual high school students. Especially in Boston/Lynn Public School, bilingual and non-English speaking students are rapidly growing in population, yet questions still remain whether the existing educational policies adequately support their academic and emotional well -being. Using a demographic survey and interviews, I connected with high school graduates  ranging from 18 year olds to 22 years olds and asked questions to assess their language support, classroom experience, emotional well-being, and academic engagement. This Roadmap highlights where the gender and education field can align on coordinated action and investment to close critical gender gaps in education and improve learning for all. Building on findings from the original 2021 Girls’ Education Roadmap, it brings together data on the greatest gender and education needs, evidence on evaluated approaches, and where current practice reaches or misses vulnerable learners. From this foundation, the Roadmap organizes insights around 18 gender-related barriers to education, giving decision makers a framework for diagnosing context specific challenges and identifying proven approaches to address them.

Perseverance is a character virtue necessary for flourishing in the STEM disciplines; however, there are competing definitions of perseverance in scientific literature, which makes measuring the trait and researching its impact difficult. This work provides a review of the definitions of construct found within the literature and compares it to conflated terms such as grit, persistence, resilience, and self-efficacy that have related, but distinct meanings. Finally, we summarize the role of perseverance in STEM and what factors may influence its formation.

Background: Although the majority of women of child-bearing age utilize a modern contraceptive method, there is a significant gap in family planning highlighted by 164 million women having an unmet contraceptive need. The unmet need for contraception is attributed to multiple factors, with education and employment remaining key determinants of contraceptive use. This paper introduces a calculus-based conceptual framework to examine how India sustains pluralistic integration across its extraordinary religious, linguistic, and cultural diversity. Drawing on mathematical principles of integration, continuity, and the Infinity Principle, the analysis demonstrates how social cohesion emerges from sustained attention to the infinitesimal: the localized communities, languages, and practices that constitute India's complex social fabric. The framework positions education as the primary integrative mechanism, functioning analogously to the mathematical process of integration by decomposing social complexity into comprehensible parts and reassembling them into collective understanding.

The purpose of this transcendental phenomenological study was to explore the lived experiences of transitioning into civilian educational leadership roles for U.S. Army leaders at educational institutions throughout the Southwestern and Eastern United States. Guided by Goleman’s emotional intelligence theory, this study addressed the lack of transition mentorship by examining the lived experiences, motivations, transition challenges, and existing support programs for these leaders. The purpose of this transcendental phenomenological study was to describe the lived experiences of ethnically and racially minority students who participated in STEM afterschool enrichment programs at middle schools in Southern California. Guided by social cognitive career theory (SCCT), this phenomenological study addressed how participation in STEM supplemental programming served as a predictive motivator that encouraged ethnically and racially minority students to pursue careers in STEM professions. This study first collected data in a quantitative form to identify public high schools in Central Arkansas that taught evolutionary theory without presenting opposing views. Building on the work of Jānis Ozoliņš, this article establishes a philosophical justification for the place of sports at catholic schools and follows with practical guidelines for the integration of athletics and academics in catholic schools. The justification relies primarily on the works of Patrick Kelly and Thomas Aquinas and asserts that moral formation and play are essential elements of the end of sport which is victory. Gaps in knowledge among clinical staff regarding PD-specific care have resulted in negative outcomes such as delayed medication administration, unmet activities of daily living (ADL) needs, restricted mobility, and dissatisfaction with care from residents and family members. Introduction: The burden of diabetes is an increasing public health challenge, especially in the Appalachian Region.

Purpose: This study assessed the impact of a community-based diabetes education program on glycemic control.

Methods: Health Extension for Diabetes (HED) is a 4-month diabetes education program offered by Extension educators in collaboration with clinical providers. Participants’ data were collected via phone interviews at baseline and after completing the program. Assessments included self-reported HbA1c, socio-demographics, diabetes knowledge, self-efficacy, and self-management behaviors. Data were analyzed by SAS software using paired analyses.

Results: Of the 105 participants in the program, 87 (83%) completed the post-assessment. Among …

Problem Statement: Artificial intelligence (AI) tools are routinely used by residents and fellows across graduate medical education. The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education has no AI-specific policy nor requirement for disclosure norms, leaving programs and attending physicians without a standard framework for supervising AI-assisted trainee work. The result is a training environment in which AI use is simultaneously widespread and under-governed by operating without the policies and supervisory frameworks needed to make that use educationally productive.

This project provides a theoretical introduction to Dis/ability Critical Race Theory (DisCrit), as well as guidance on how to incorporate the theory into the early childhood education setting.
