This study explored teachers' perceptions of twins' academic abilities and achievements compared to single-born students. It aimed to understand teachers' attitudes towards classroom dynamics and social interactions among twins and their peers, as well as how teachers differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of twins in the classroom. By employing a qualitative phenomenological approach, the research gathered comprehensive data through surveys/questionnaires and in-depth, semi-structured interviews with 15 elementary school teachers with experience teaching identical and fraternal twins in primary and secondary schools in Texas and Virginia. End users of single‐use plastics can help minimize their contribution to plastic pollution via mindful purchasing and waste management. These behaviors can be impacted via behavior change interventions in various key sectors of society. This review set out to summarize recent (2015–2023) peer‐reviewed evidence on interventions aimed at changing the plastic consumption, recycling, and/or littering behaviors of individuals across four sectors: business and retail, tourism and leisure, schools and education, and communities. Systematic literature searches were conducted across multiple databases and resulted in the inclusion of 92 intervention studies. This study aimed to clarify the effects of different resisted sled sprint (RSS) loads on the sprinting abilities of junior high school students. Thirty-two junior high school students completed five RSS sessions in a physical education class. Each used a 12-, 14.5-, or 17-kg sled for the RSS training. According to the ratio of sled weight to body mass (%BM), the students were divided into light (25.75 ± 2.57%BM) and heavy (34.46 ± 2.96%BM) groups. Practical experience is recommended in teaching to overcome students’ difficulties in learning and applying theoretical concepts such as Newtonian mechanics. The purpose of this study was to test whether incorporating bouldering in a biomechanics course improves students' academic understanding of mechanics. Twenty-one students participated in 10 weeks of traditional lecturing and a subsequent 4-week bouldering intervention. The aim of this study was to investigate the trend in student’s Biomechanics Concept Inventory (BCI) performance over the past two decades (2003 - 2023) in the United States. The mean pre-, post-tests of BCI performance, and normalised gain (g) were extracted from published studies for analysis. Eight studies with 937 participants were examined. The Mann-Kendall tests were used to assess the trend of the datasets. No significant downward or upward trends were observed for both pre-tests (p = 1.0) and post-tests (p = 0.07) performance. It is important to consider teachers’ professional development (PD) when they are tasked with teaching Newton’s Law of motion in biomechanics to high school students for the first time. Physical education (PE) teachers regularly use the Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) pedagogy to teach physical activity to students. TGfU is a pedagogical model which originated in the 1980s with the main objective of promoting game-based learning in physical activity and sport. Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) are historically disadvantaged communities that face discrimination on the grounds of their lower social positioning in society. This dissertation comprises 5 Chapters. Chapter 1 provides a brief outline regarding the stratification in India based on Caste and illustrates the importance of studying the economic consequences of caste-based discrimination in India. Chapter 2 analyses the effect of caste-based residential segregation in rural India and its effect on marginalized children's education outcomes. The Clinical Dietetics Club of UNM (CDCU) is a student-run organization that offers interprofessional educational activities to help close the gap in nutrition education, often lacking in medical professional training. The CDCU organized two educational presentations led by UNM faculty dietitians on critical topics, including cardiovascular disease (CVD), celiac disease, gout, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). These sessions had between 13 - 21 participants and offered informational credit. The sessions also received positive feedback, with 80% of participants in the CVD and Celiac Disease presentation and 87% in the Gout and NAFLD presentation rating the sessions as or higher …

Problem: Immigrants are at risk for developing mental health disorders due to multiple factors including social, cultural, or economic factors. This can result in a lower quality of life and an increased chance of further disabilities. Although immigrants are at increased risk for the development of mental health disorders, studies show that utilization of available services and resources are low. Additionally, organizations that provide services to immigrants may not be implementing screening and psychoeducation.

Well-being (WB) is associated with healthier and longer lives, more social connections, and workplace success. However, assessment of WB is primarily based on self-report measures. This mixed-methods research examined how diverse adults described the sources of their WB and whether such views differed by education, race, and gender. Data came from midlife and older adults from the Midlife in the United States Study who responded to the question “What do you do to make your life go well?” (N = 2,118; 54% some college or less; 19% Black). The increase of underprepared students entering college decreases persistence and graduation rates at postsecondary institutions, ultimately declining degree attainment and social mobility of American citizens (U.S. Department of Education, 2016, McGuire, 2018). ACT, Inc. (2017) data suggests that overwhelming percentages of high school graduates are academically underprepared and are not college-ready. Moreover, an overwhelming number of academically underprepared students come from historically underrepresented populations. Gitl Schaechter Viswanath was born into a Yiddish-speaking family. Her father came from Romania to the United States in 1951, becoming a renowned Yiddish linguist and Columbia professor. He and his wife wanted to raise their children speaking Yiddish within a Yiddish community, and so they created this community with two other families living near one another on Bainbridge Avenue in the north-central Bronx, the Fishmans and the Gottesmans. The families were primarily secular but focused on Jewish culture and tradition.

I chose to do a community book drive so that the more underprivileged people in our community could be provided with something they may not have the option of obtaining otherwise. Reading materials! The biggest step in order for this to be a success was taking action to get the word out in the community among those that can provide the donations that would be needed. Everyone at each stage of this project worked together to make it a success. I have to admit, this project went a lot easier and smoother than I had originally thought it would.

Despite this, there are ongoing measures to withhold entire genres of literature from the hands of prisoners, restricting the abilities of prison libraries to provide educational lessons using sensitive topics. Background: Falls are the most commonly reported safety incidence in the hospital setting (Morris R. et al., 2017). Because falls may be a result of many factors, evidence shows that multicomponent fall interventions best reduce fall rates (Bargmann et al., 2020; Dykes et al., 2010; Dykes et al., 2020; Strini et al., 2021). In this project, a needs assessment identified a need for fall prevention strategies to reduce fall rates on inpatient units.
