It is the attempt then of this thesis to study a) the basic philosophy of American Experimentalism and the techniques for carrying this program into effect; b) the basic philosophy of Catholic education and the methodology used for carrying this approach into effect; c) the present and proposed methodologies of teachers in Lutheran secondary schools; d) and finally, the summary ina final outline, or all techniques suggested by this study which are in agreement with the Lutheran Christian philosophy or education and which propose a fuller integration of the Lutheran Christian principles.

In a follow-up to an article about the petition to instate food rationing, this weeks issue of the newspaper features a large article about the newly voted upon Food Conservation Program at the college. On the upcoming Saturday, Wooster served its first "Famine Meal" across campus. The meal received 80% approval from students, and so it was decided that the program would continue in future weeks. On the first page of this issue of the newspaper, there is an article announcing that Viv Douglas, a junior, will go to Northwestern University to enter the inter-state competition. Her attendance in the competition is a result of her placing first in the women's state oratory contest held at Wooster. At the competition at Northwestern, Viv will try to place first again, and win the title. The third page of the newspaper features articles about athletics at the college, including a brief paragraph about the Scot coaching staff. Finally, this issue ends with multiple advertisements from local businesses.

The trend toward the increased use of talking moving pictures in the classroom has slowly been gaining favor among Omaha teachers. At first "the Depression," with its lack of funds, put a serious obstacle in the way. Then World War II made it impossible to buy the necessary equipment. But now a broad visual education program has been planned for the Omaha Public Schools. Some schools are buying their own equipment. Askerben has just announced the gift of twelve projectors with sound equipment and screens. A central film library, from which schools may borrow films, has been started.
