Culturally appropriate behavior of the Native American gifted is discussed and an outline for securing tribal input to the development of an identification process is suggested. Program options and models are presented which address the central issue of self-concept.

Development Of K-12 Science Handbook For The Thorp School District, Sim Egbert
All Graduate Projects
A handbook was created for the Thorp School District to provide teachers with science goals and objectives for each grade level. A science philosophy, a sample evaluation sheet, elementary science scope and sequence, a list of current textbooks, and the sequences of science classes were also presented in the handbook. Curriculum guides from several districts were studied before the goals and objectives were written for the handbook. The research on the needs of a curriculum and the past and current trends in science curriculum was reviewed. The literature regarding science curriculum supported the development of the handbook. Recommendations were proposed.

Electronic Theses and Dissertations
The problem of this study was to determine the relationships among selected predictor variables in order to identify the combination of variables which best predicts scores on the National Teacher Examination-Weighted Common Examination Total Score. The identified variables were sex, teaching level, ACT composite scores, teacher education admission grade-point averages, CAT scores in Reading, Mathematics, and English, and Professional Education sequence grade-point averages. Nine hypotheses comprised the basis of this study. The first eight hypotheses pertained to the bivariate relationship of each predictor variable and the NTE-WCET scores. Getting It Together In Chevak A Case Study Of A Youth Organization In A Rural Alaskan Village, G. Williamson Mcdiarmid
ISER Reports
The Chevak Village Youth Solution (CVYA) was developed in a rural Eskimo village (population 520) both to educate youth and to integrate them into functional roles in the community.
