Communication In Identical Twins, Rosemary Connolly
Student Work
Idioglossia is a phenomenon often reported in studies concerning the language development of twins. It has been defined as the development of a unique language understood only by its originators. There has been much controversy as to whether idioglossia exists as a unique language system, or whether it is a delay and/or misuse of the conventional language system. This study was conducted to investigate the language development of three sets of identical twin males.

A Study Of The Feasibility Of A Two-Year Retail Marketing Program At Southern Utah State College, John R. Pruitt
All Graduate Plan B and other Reports, Spring 1920 to Spring 2023
According to Klieforth (1969), "technology, business, industry, communications, and other factors affecting our economic life are changing rapidly. Our educational system must keep up with these changes and prepare our youth for the world of work." Although many of our young people will desire a four-year degree (and in some cases, higher degrees), many are inclined toward a shorter, formal post-secondary education.
As evidenced by the phenomenal growth and development of the two-year colleges in the first half of this century (Goddard, 1962) many of our young people are looking at more vocational and technical education than ever before. This …

Teachers' positive responses (e.g., listening, owning personal feelings, offering choices to students), teachers' negative responses (e.g., judging, lecturing, rescuing), teacher talk vs. student talk, and the frequency of student misbehaviors were considered. Audio tape recordings were made of teachers as they dealt with student problems in a group discussion and in an individual discussion. Also, student misbehaviors were recorded during a 15-minute observation time.

UNLV Retrospective Theses & Dissertations
Because of current prevailing educational and negative financial trends, a concern for the place of the fine arts in the curricula of the nation's public schools has been evidenced among various writers and curriculum experts. Music, visual arts, drama, and dance classes were being indiscriminately eliminated from educational instructional programs throughout the country. Remedial courses were taking the place of electives. Fine arts educators, among others, were also being assigned to teach in areas outside their major subject expertise. Many of these happenings came about because of newly mandated competency testing and back-to-basics instruction. Competency-based testing and instruction were mandated …
