A Political Study Of Federal Aid To Education At Utah State University, Richard Yates Merrell

All Graduate Theses and Dissertations, Spring 1920 to Summer 2023

In the present-day world of change, every time we pick up the paper we read of something new in our society. We now have new rockets, new satellites, new computers, and new methods or destruction. There are also many "new" things in the field of education. One of these is federal aid to education. As yet, there seems to be no consensus on the merits of this supposedly new approach to educational finance. Some view it as a kind or plague; others see it as an unmixed blessing. Actually, federal aid to education is quite old and quite common.

Section III: The Medieval Church

We have already noted the Church's claim to teach "in all its fulness every doctrine that men ought to be brought to know, and that regarding things visible and invisible, in heaven and on earth." This work was carried on primarily in the monastery and cathedral schools. But, because the monasteries of …

The Vanguard (Vol. 4, No. 6), July 1957, Lutheran Human Relations Association Of America

The Vanguard

When canvassing for prospects, the principal of a Lutheran day school in Chicago would at times find Negroes who were desirous of enrolling their children. And some Lutheran Negro parents of a neighboring Lutheran parish requested that their children be enrolled. According to the principal, however, all Negro children were refused enrollment.
