The three-week class session will be followed with a one-week camping program. Because literature teachers have little understanding of the art of film, they often consider the film to be a frill rather than an aid to learning. The author contends in this study that literature teachers must be convinced that the motion picture is an art, and that the motion picture teaches the student to appreciate and understand literature more thoroughly. The problem is to convince the literature teacher of the art and the power of the film.

The problem will consist of establishing the beliefs, theories, and methodology of the Cubist movement as formulated by the members of a Parisian group of artists known as Le Groupe du Bateau-Lavoir. The next step will be to attempt to discover these factors in representative paintings produced in America subsequent to 1914. The final step will be to show the extent of the influences by reproducing selected American paintings, quoting current writers, and drawing conclusions.

In this study an attempt was made to statistically analyze the effects of using money as a reinforcer when teaching spelling to emotionally disturbed, socially maladjusted children. Equivalent forms of the California Achievement Tests and weekly spelling test scores during a four-week, non- reinforced period were compared with similar scores for a four-week, reinforced period.

This paper has represented an effort by the writer to learn something about two major clarinet compositions and about their composers, and to provide for the readers of this paper a means of better understanding Wolfgang Mozart and Camille Saint-Saëns and their clarinet compositions. The study of these compositions has been in connection with the preparation for their performance in a Graduate Recital by the writer. The two composers studied in this project represent two periods of music history, two different styles of composition and two different personalities.
