A panel survey of 316 individuals was conducted from May 20 to May 22, which was a follow-up to the phone survey conducted two weeks prior. Based on the results of the panel survey, the overall risk of infection by COVID-19 significantly increased in Anchorage. Additionally, surveyed individuals were more likely to have physical contact with those outside their household, practiced less physical distancing, touched things outside their home more often, and had decreased perceived threat to COVID-19. However, the majority of respondents were still engaging in behavior that limited transmission, such as refraining from physical contact with those outside …

Alumnus Accepts New Leadership Role In School District During Coronavirus Pandemic, Office Of University Communications

While schools everywhere were transitioning to remote learning because of the coronavirus pandemic, Chad Holloman, an alumnus of Gardner-Webb University, accepted a new leadership role a few weeks into the conversion. An assistant principal in the Johnston County (N.C.) Public Schools, he was promoted to Director of Transportation Services and responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the 300+ bus fleet. With the system’s more than 37,000 students staying at home, Holloman needed to provide meaningful and relevant telework for the department’s employees.

In the last century, there has been a substantial improvement in technology, which over the years has opened the door to a new form of medical practicing known as telemedicine.

The COVID-19 pandemic, caused by the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, has been responsible for over 650,000 deaths worldwide. Transmission of SARS-CoV-2 occurs primarily through airborne transmission or direct human contact, demonstrating the importance of social distancing measures and the use of face masks to prevent infection. Nonetheless, the persistence of coronavirus on surfaces means that disinfection is important to limit the possibility of contact transmission. In this paper, the potential for various surfaces in show caves to serve as sources for SARS-CoV-2 infection is examined.
