The Voice: 1901-1910

This is the first issue of the Wooster Voice 1909-10. "Rules of the Pan-Hellenic Association of Sororities," is a featured list of rules for possible incoming members. In "Class Elections," the elected seniors, sophomores, juniors, and seniors are highlighted. "Personals," are updates on the class of 1908 and 1909. In "The Volunteer Band," invites students to open meetings of the World's Student Volunteer Movement. The last few pages features the names of either students or staff.

The Voice: 1901-1910

This edition of the Wooster Voice begins with an announcement about Dr. Cook. On April 21st, 1908, Dr. Frederick Cook went to the North Pole and planted an American flag in the soil there. After this announcement, there is a poem by Waldo H. Dunn on the subject of planting a flag in a polar environment. The opening article for this issue depicts the convocation of 1909 and the introduction to the class of 1913. An article discussing the new football coach follows on the pages after. The issue ends with advertisements for a number of local businesses.

In "Freshman-Junior Banquet," and "Pan-Hellenic Banquet," both talk about the events that transpired during each banquet. "Lawn Party," is about Lawrence and Lera Avison entertaining the Sigma Chis and friends at a lawn party. In "The Blues," a written poem by Dr. Grumbine is featured. There is an advertisement for a steam engine company on page 7.

"A Grad Success," details the second annual celebration of Color Day, an annual graduation celebration at Wooster. In "Denison Debate," a debate between Wooster and Denison is described with Denison as the victor. "Dresden Orchestra," is a the written review of a great performance given by the Dresden Orchestra. In "Oratorical Contest," representatives from four colleges competed for oratorical honors. Page 6 features an ad for people interested in laboratory work and table tops to come look at the Alberene Stone Company.

"Wooster Still Winning," details Wooster's victory over the University of Pittsburgh for the fourth successive year. Under Athletics, stats from various sports are featured. "Voice Election," is about the Voice Board of Control electing who will have charge of the paper next year. In "Graduation," the first graduating recital was given. "Death of Theodore D. Kirkpatrick," is about Alpha Lambda Chapter of Beta Theta Pi mourning the death of Mr. Kirkpatrick. Page 7 features a photograph in an advertisement for Starling-Ohio Medical School.
