This edition of the Wooster Magazine was published in the summer of 2008. The magazine opens with an article by Mary Neagoy '83, the Outgoing President of the Alumni Board. Jack Russell, Chuck Hurst and Bill Scott have retired. A Neuroscience major is being added this fall. Three alumni were awarded the Distinquished Allumni Award during alumni weekend: Katharine Doob Sakenfeld '61, Dr. Gary Reichard '65, and Dr. Alpha Alexander '76. Patrice Smith is featured for donating a kidney to a stranger and then getting back to leading the noon exercise class within two weeks. President Stanton Hales writes farewell to those of the Wooster community in a letter on page eleven. His time at Wooster follows the letter. Nancy McCarthy '59 travels the world to photograph people, animals, and the surrounding landscape.
