Field-induced electrochemistry has attracted increasing attention as a complementary strategy for regulating electrode process kinetics beyond conventional composition and structure optimization. Externally applied fields and local fields arising from interfacial polarization, nonuniform charge or spin distribution, defects, heterostructures, spontaneous polarization, and high curvature surface geometries can influence adsorption, interfacial electron transfer, ion and mass transport, and gas–liquid transport. This review summarizes the conceptual development from field-induced chemistry to field-induced electrochemistry and discusses field effects from a multiscale kinetic perspective, including atomic and molecular processes, nanoscale interfacial regulation, and mesoscopic and macroscopic transport. This systematic literature review explores how youth entrepreneurs understand and apply the Efficient Market Hypothesis (EMH) in their decision-making, and examines the contextual factors influencing the decision-making nexus. Guided by a post-positivist framework, the review synthesises extant literature across youth entrepreneurship, finance, and digital strategy to map emerging themes and identify knowledge gaps. It covered a sample of 38 peer-reviewed articles, selected in accordance with the PRISMA guidelines. Findings of the systematic literature review show that youth entrepreneurs' engagement with EMH is largely experiential and indirect, influenced by digital literacy, social learning, and the realities of rapidly changing market environments. …

Aspen forests are among the most valuable parts of the Cedar Mountain area in southwest Utah and of Utah's landscapes. They provide wildlife habitat, improve scenery, help slow wildfire spread, and support healthy watersheds and grazing lands. Cedar Mountain’s aspen forests are changing. The landscape still supports significant aspen acreage, but many stands are aging and losing mature trees faster than they are being replaced. Researchers studied the area to assess the health of the aspen forest over many years, beginning in 2008; this fact sheet discusses the results. It also provides management considerations.

Birch proposes that human fetuses be recognized as sentience candidates from 12 weeks, on the grounds that midbrain-centered theories fall within the zone of reasonable disagreement among theories of consciousness. I raise a methodological and a policy problem for his view. Methodologically, whether the midbrain-centered view belongs within the zone is disputed, so there is no consensus about the consensus.  Furthermore, the evidence Birch discusses for 12 weeks does not actually estimate the onset of sentience; the proposed threshold tracks anatomical rather than functional onset. Electrooxidation of small organic molecules (e.g., methanol, urea, 5-hydroxymethylfurfural) represents a promising strategy to replace the kinetically sluggish oxygen evolution reaction (OER) in water electrolysis, thereby reducing hydrogen production energy consumption and simultaneously achieving co-production of value-added chemicals or degradation of environmental pollutants. However, single-component catalysts often struggle to achieve efficient coupling between organic molecules and OER-derived oxygen species. Designing efficient and durable electrocatalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is critical for advancing sustainable electrochemical energy conversion and storage technologies such as rechargeable Zinc-Air Battery (ZAB). Herein, we fabricate a heterostructured OER catalyst composed of CoS₂ and Co₃O₄ nanosheets supported on nitrogen-doped carbon nanofibers (hereafter denoted as CoS₂/Co₃O₄@CFs) through the anion engineering. Experimental results demonstrate that the in-situ selective sulfidation constructs abundant CoS₂/Co₃O₄ heterointerfaces, enabling the synergistic regulation of electronic structure and active-site distribution. The O-to-S anion substitution modulates the interfacial …

The connecting rod is a critical mechanical component that transmits reciprocating motion from the piston to rotational motion in the crankshaft. Although connecting rods are traditionally manufactured from aluminum alloys, titanium alloys, or alloy steels, the demand for higher power-to-weight ratios has motivated the exploration of alternative materials supported by advanced computational validation methods. Regulating Religious Coexistence offers a compelling ethnographic analysis of how Muslims, Christians, and practitioners of indigenous African religions negotiate coexistence in Kenya’s coastal region. The book conceptualizes religious diversity as a dynamic field shaped by multiple partly intersecting and partly conflicting models of interaction. These include the political secularism promoted by the Kenyan state and civil society organizations focused on interfaith harmony, forms of competition between religious groups, and pluralistic practices in which individuals draw on multiple traditions to meet spiritual needs.

Effective temporary identification improves labor efficiency, reduces animal stress, and helps ensure management decisions are applied to the correct animals. This fact sheet provides information on temporary cattle marking using hair bleach.

In Chinese classical poetics, the core category of “scene” is often understood as the product of a poet's “empathy” with, or “projection” of emotion onto, external things. However, Wang Fuzhi's (1619—1692) depiction of “sad emotion in a joyful scene” and the contemporary German aesthetician Gernot Böhme's discovery of “experience of contrast” challenge the plausibility of projection theory at the level of experience. “Projection theory” is based on the presupposition that the “thing” is a pre-existing and objectively real entity. Wang Fuzhi and Gernot Böhme show that this understanding of the “thing” ignores “hiddenness” or “transparency.” This blind spot is formed …

As a fundamental concept and central principle in the early Romantic aesthetic system, “love” is an important medium for achieving wholeness and universal harmony, which embodies the metaphysical longing for unity. This paper analyzes the multiple functions of “love” from four perspectives: the personal, the interpersonal, the human-cosmic, and the metaphysical. In addition, this essay traces how early Romantic thought on “love” promotes the modern semantic configuration of “love” through engagement with the theory of “love” in the Platonic-Christian system. Narrowly defined, “transnational literature” refers to works created by “transnational writers” in a non-native language.
