Rich people like to own things that make them look cool. When the thing in question is a car, house, or boat, the implications are limited. But sometimes very rich people own assets that are more important. Within media, Elon Musk acquired Twitter, Jeff Bezos ac-quired the Washington Post, and Patrick Soon-Shiong acquired the Los Angeles Times. There has also been a craze for aerospace: Musk with Space X, Bezos with Blue Origin, Richard Branson with Virgin Galactic, and going back further, Howard Hughes with Hughes Aircraft Company. It is often difficult to understand the behavior in purely finan-cial terms, …
State Aid And The Green Transition: Where Theory Meets (Member States’) Practice, Magdalena Porzeżyńska
State Aid And The Green Transition: Where Theory Meets (Member States’) Practice, Magdalena Porzeżyńska
internetowy Kwartalnik Antymonopolowy i Regulacyjny (internet Quarterly on Antitrust and Regulation)
The European Green Deal has placed the green transition at the centre of the European Union’s economic, industrial and climate policy, with climate neutrality by 2050 as a binding objective. In this context, State aid has evolved from a narrowly construed exception to the prohibition laid down in Article 107(1) TFEU into a key policy instrument supporting the Union’s climate and industrial ambitions. This article examines how the EU State aid framework has been adapted to facilitate Member States’ support for the green transition and assesses the opportunities and constraints inherent in this framework. The analysis focuses on the main …

internetowy Kwartalnik Antymonopolowy i Regulacyjny (internet Quarterly on Antitrust and Regulation)

Pomoc Publiczna W Projektach Z Zakresu Badań I Rozwoju – Wybrane Zagadnienia, Anastazja Drapata
internetowy Kwartalnik Antymonopolowy i Regulacyjny (internet Quarterly on Antitrust and Regulation)
Liberalne Podejście W Sprawach Pomocy Państwa Stanowiącej Rekompensatę Za Świadczenie Pocztowych Usług Powszechnych Na Przykładzie Ostatnich Rozstrzygnięć Organów Unijnych, Artur Salbert
internetowy Kwartalnik Antymonopolowy i Regulacyjny (internet Quarterly on Antitrust and Regulation)

W ramach takiego projektu, nazwanego roboczo Programem nowych inwestycji, uprawnieni przedsiębiorcy uzyskaliby prawo do finansowania nowych inwestycji po roku 2026 w ramach odprowadzanych do budżetu podatków dochodowych.

Mansoura Medical Journal
Background: Aortic valve neo-cuspidization (AVNeo, Ozaki procedure) has emerged as an alternative to conventional aortic valve replacement, aiming to preserve native aortic root dynamics and improve postoperative hemodynamics. The replacement of the aortic valve presents challenges because both biological and mechanical prostheses have notable limitations.
Aim: To evaluate the short-term clinical and echocardiographic outcomes of aortic valve neocuspidization (Ozaki procedure) compared with mechanical aortic valve replacement (AVR) in patients with isolated aortic valve disease.
Patients and methods: This prospective comparative observational study included 42 adult patients with isolated aortic valve disease. 20 patients underwent AVNeo (Ozaki procedure) and 22 …

Background: In ordinary clinical practice, a number of nasal cavity lesions, both neoplastic and non-neoplastic, are often seen. Because diffusion-weighted MRI imaging (DWI) captures the random migration of water protons, it provides superior characterization of tissues and their physiological processes. Therefore, the current study's goal was to use echoplanar DWI to classify malignant and non-malignant sinonasal lesions.
Methods: Fifty patients with paranasal sinus masses who were sent to Mansoura University Hospitals' Diagnostic Radiology Department for radiological examination, including a traditional MRI procedure, were included in this prospective research, Diffusion Weighted Images (DWI) and apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC). The final diagnosis …

Background
Portal vein thrombosis (PVT) is among the recognized vascular complications encountered in cirrhotic patients and may significantly influence disease progression and survival. The clinical course of PVT differs according to its etiology, particularly when hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is absent. This study was designed to assess the outcomes of benign portal vein thrombosis in cirrhotic patients.
Methods
This prospective observational study enrolled 18 cirrhotic patients diagnosed with non-malignant portal vein thrombosis. All participants underwent comprehensive clinical evaluation, laboratory investigations, and radiological assessment. Severity of liver disease was determined using the Child–Pugh classification and MELD score. Radiological imaging was utilized to …
